One of the main reasons I'm yet to transition to Gen 3 is power intake. I assume it consumes more than Gen 2. And Starlink sef no Gree do man give away. Since using them from February 2023 till date. If that Amazon internet lands and the service is cheaper. I might just switch. Thanks for the link.
If Amazon land and e make sense.. I don port..Power of competition

I swear Starlink service is good but better competition is very necessary.

People here saying Amazon Amazon, when is this Amazon alternative to Starlink coming into existence. I am very ready to port if their monthly payment is cheaper and network is unlimited. That's the main reason why i have not bought Starlink gen 3. Waiting for Amazon to see if they offer better than Starlink.

A couple of people have received same message in the past from Starlink. I think @ibawon also received same message sometime in the past. Just ignore it.

Sometimes it's very possible that you were not the one that streamed or downloaded the torrent file. Starlink issues same ip address range for a number of customers, so when a copyright holder sends a complaint to them, Starlink forwards that complaint to all those who are in that range of IP.

Thanks for this but I believe I was the one who streamed the content they mentioned or maybe it's a coincidence that watch the TV show they mentioned.

So I helped my friend get a free replacement due to a router issue with his Gen 2. Now they’re sending him a Gen 3. After he activates the Gen 3, will I be able to use his Gen 2? It will be of no use to him anymore, and I don’t mind managing the on-and-off issue.

My brother.. I dey your shoe so.. I complained to Support that the speed am getting on my Gen2 no be am.. Support checked it and concluded that something must be wrong with my Gen2 router.

Last Thursday, they wired me free 1 month sub for my inconveniences and sent down full Gen3 Kit via DHL at zero cost. It arrived on Tuesday ie from Thursday - Tuesday and. They advised me not sell nor give away my full Gen2 Kit (Infact, i still get extra 75m network cable for Gen2 inside its carton). Dunno wat to do with it sef undecided
.
To mount, u will need to buy pole mount bracket (see pix below) which I ordered from Aliexpress. I hope to receive it down next week. I already have a long pole i plan on using to permanently mount the Gen3 dish

I am still managing my Gen2 stuff till my pole mount bracket arrives

In summary, u need a pole mount bracket. Order am now now
My starlink Gen3 pole adapter just arrived from Aliexpress. Fixing going to happen on Saturday

The funny thing is I don't download. I stream via stremio only and I've been streaming since I started using starlinks in June.

Streaming and downloading torrents is the same thing. Since you are using Stremio, get a debrid service.

Hmm. I'll look into it. So between using a debrid service and VPN. Which is better?

Debrid is better. The debrid service hosts the files on their servers, so you are simply streaming the files from direct links, not torrent anymore. You won't have issues with copyright holders.

With VPN, on the hand, it still remains a torrent, which means, your streaming experience depends on the number of seeders the torrent file has and all of that. Moreover, VPN generally slows than a connection.

You have tried, you have saved urself 70k, that's one month subscription and 13k.
Na for you to go look for one correct premium IPTV subscription. So that everything will be complete
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 6:35pm On Dec 06, 2025
IPTV with good uptime is extremely hard to come by.

That's true sha. It's only drawback is the lagging during live football matches and also occasional buffering during live matches.., like today arsenal live match, my IPTV frustrated me with occasional buffering. Apart from that, every other thing abt IPTV is owesome

you don't need to put starlink up of the roof.

I have my starlink mini set up on a pole just a little above 4 feet on the ground. I can tell you the truth it goes round the house and the compound. So fast and good. I'm happy I did it myself

How much can I get starlink?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by gsparks01(m): 7:01pm On Dec 06, 2025
It seems that 6 month installment plan has been stopped. I wonder if it was something that they wanted to do for a short while or something triggered them to stop... 🤔
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 7:05pm On Dec 06, 2025
Bro I even have tivimate premium (unarguably the best IPTV player). I have so many logs too. IPTV can get very frustrating with buffering and downtimes. Imagine Cricfy, HD streamz etc that are free apps being stable than most IPTV logs.

Unfortunately the offer is gone for the Mini.
So glad I got mine immediately I saw the offer.

Maybe they're cooking something bigger and better. cool cool

Very frustrating. But it buffers more often if you are using a free IPTV log or extremely cheap log. De is this website I bought IPTV log for $2 per month some time ago, I couldn't even enjoy it cos of buffering wahala. But the one am using now is a little better. I did it for $39 for 6months
