says his administration places Sharia propagation as a top priority, ranking second only to security in his Nine-point Smart Agenda.

The Sokoto State Government has rolled out new measures to strengthen Islamic propagation and support Islamic clerics across the state, including the introduction of monthly allowances for Imams, their deputies, and Mu’azzins, as well as direct cash allocations to Jumu’at mosques.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu announced the initiatives at the graduation ceremony of 111 memorizers of the Qur’an from the Sokoto branch of the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation.

The governor explained that his administration had placed Islamic propagation as a top priority, ranking second only to security in his Nine-point Smart Agenda.

In addition, monthly allowances ranging from N300,000 to N500,000 have been introduced for Imams, their deputies, and Mu’azzins across the state..

Religion is more important than education, healthcare and industry. The state should never be involved in religious affairs. Northern Nigerians are too backward

You hear some news and begin to wonder how these people think. You'll never see them budget money for innovations, improved healthcare or build world class hospitals. You can't separate these people from religion, infact if it is possible, they can spend all their allocation to propagate their religion and keep their people in abject poverty. My question is in what way has religion brought development to their region?

This is so stupid and dumb.

And one stupid Bashir Ahmaad is on X saying the North needs infrastructure, education and the rest, see what they're planning to do with their money.

Fools, that is what they are.
