Thomas Agunyi Ironsi was Minister of defense from 2006-2007. He took over from Kwakwanso who resigned to contest the 2007 governorship election.

So this Musa wasn't even the first retired army general to emerge Minister of Defense yet they have been making so much noise about it?

I think he was a minister of state for Defence, so he was not a substantive Minister of Defence and hence, should not be in the list.

As can be seen in the list, there is no Igbo person in that list. There is no SS man in that list either.

Yorubas have some representations, and the same goes for NW, NE and NC.

The only two zones not represented as substantive ministers of Defence are SE and SS

He was never a minister for defence. He was a mere minister of state for Defence.

The substantive minister of defence when he was a minister of state was Rabiu Kwankwaso

No Igbo man has ever been appointed a minister of defence, at least from 1999. That is a clear case of marginalisation.

The position has been held mainly by the NC, NW, NE and the Yorubas

Aguiyi-Ironsi was the minister of state for Defence when Kwankwaso was the substantive minister of defence. Stop trying to full the public.

Yoruba and Fulani have frozen the Igbos out of those positions.
