The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Amaewhule defected along with 15 other members of the House on Friday.

The House of Assembly is currently in session with the defecttors blaming their departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the crisis in the party.

The show of shame continues in this government....by the time Tinubu is done,Nigeria democracy will be in a mess,anyother president that gets in,will totally kill the multi party system,Nigeria will just be a one party state.

Even Gov. Fubara will decamp to another party soon. PDP is literally dead party. If he decamps to APC, his 2nd term is bright. The way things are going, PDP may not have candidates for 2027 elections.

Sorry, Trump is no longer interested in bombing Nigeria and your fulani militia are now being bombarded everywhere. Even Peter Obi ha refused to join your failing ADC coalition so I understand your pain and depression. APC is currently the ruling party with over 30 governors and many more still coming. We don't need any momentum on this side. We are the momentum. It is the failing ADC and Atiku's dead presidential ambition that needs momentum. grin

No be them dey control Rivers state power bloc? Fubara the governor is also in their camp.

They are coming to take control of Rivers APC. I expect Fubara's defection to be imminent. Wike might remain in PDP, but he also has control at the center.

Wike might have advised them to defect to APC because they're all his loyalists and can't take this action without his knowledge. So, he may even be the architect of this development at this time and I see Gov. Fubara following suit very soon to enable all of them be on the same page politically. This is to assure Tinubu that year 2027, Rivers State bloc votes are secured for him.
