Any Advice Or Insight Would Be Greatly Appreciated. by lavylilly(op): 11:17am On Dec 05, 2025
I’d really appreciate your guidance on a career decision I’m currently trying to make.

I interviewed with an organization back in June 2025, but I only received feedback from them in November 2025. They have now given me an offer with the following details:

Net salary: ₦170,000 (Pension and HMO)

Gross salary: ₦200,000

Additional stipend: ₦5,000 monthly for data

Work structure: Fully remote, but requires five in-person visits per month to the client’s location I currently work remotely

I’m a bit unsure about the long delay between the interview and the offer, and I’m also wondering whether the compensation package is fair for the workload and hybrid arrangement.

Based on this information, do you think I should accept the offer, or is it better to keep searching for something more suitable?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Try to take it, if not for anything it will allow you to take another remote job.

This is my advice
Kindly hire someone for your remote job under your strict supervisor, it can be internship so that salary will suit you and give you flexibility for other openings and engagements.

How do the person do in person meeting with clients when the need arises?

Since every engagement is scheduled, you already take track of the ones requiring your face time. That's why close supervision is a key word. Also using intern will more likely give you cheap labour and more productivity while they learn from you.

You can pay me for guiding and counseling on different decision making process.

For instance the remote job has a meeting for 12:30pm and the on-site requires you to have a training with new employees, how do you do that or navigate it

Hey, here’s how I’d look at it…

It really depends on what matters most to you right now — income, flexibility, or career growth.

1. If your priority is flexibility → stay remote.
Remote roles give you time freedom, less stress, and lower transport costs. If your current remote jobs are paying well and you can manage both without burning out, that’s a strong advantage.

2. If your priority is career structure and stability → consider the on-site role.
On-site jobs sometimes offer clearer promotion paths, more hands-on experience, and better long-term visibility. But they take away flexibility and increase monthly expenses.

3. If your priority is maximizing income → calculate the numbers.
Sometimes combining two remote roles gives you more total income than one on-site role.

Also check:

workload

stress level

if hours clash

if you can deliver effectively without risking either job

4. If you’re trying to balance both remote and on-site → negotiate terms.
If the on-site role is open to hybrid or flexible days, it could give you the best of both worlds.

My honest take:
Pick the option that aligns with where you want your life to go in the next 12–24 months.
If you value peace, independence, and multiple income streams → remote wins.

If you want structure, mentorship, and stability → on-site might be worth it.

You can’t lose. Just choose based on your priorities.
