Jega2000:Please what type of car do you recommend costing at that rage of price and in good condition? Coz I've been checking cars online the price is just too high, getting Direct Tokunbo car with #6m now seems impossible, this country is so frustrating. I remember year 2020 a friend of mine bought direct Belgium Corolla 2010 at 4.5m which seem impossible for me now in 2025 to get the same car with 6million what a country. My 6 million is now struggling to get a well befitting car logically I don't want to use my entire 6m to by car because I'll still need money to run some other expenses on any prospective car I buy like registration, plate number etc. |

Sukkyy2010:6m relocates you to romania(eu country).... Japan(fees is 2500usd)....you can run it urself, pls leave this shithole country.... That's my first advice. If you must stay, 6m can buy you immensely good corolla.... But parts tend to be expensive. So kia rio is a better alternative IMO... If you don't live in lagos, forget about uber... Leave the country. Leave the country, leave Nigeria. |

Sukkyy2010:Like one guy said, no use ur whole 6m buy car... Personally I'll suggest a sharp honda crv or Discussion continue(honda accord 2007) 4m to 5m you'll get them, part are cheaper than Toyota counterparts.... Don't neglect part matter wey adey tell you.... I don see who buy toks 22m, lexus, following week gear spoil, 2.5m comot for pocket.. 2 situations like that wey i don see.... So when buyin a car, ask urself, what if gear spoil next month, can i fix it.? My guy dey repair him gear as I'm talking to you, corolla, he don work am taya, to change 700k...my honda gear is 300k.... Kia rio gives better fuel economy than any toyota and parts are cheaper as well. Use 4m buy car, keep 1m somewhere for emergency car situation (ure buyin naija used, even toks sef, anything fit sup) invest 1m in coin. Between now and march next year, you'll thank me....2 things fit sup, it might take long to be fruitful, or you'll be a multi millionaire with filthy cash. Goodluck |

Kumuyiii:Thanks for your japa advice, regarding relocation, my concern is job opportunity and accommodation, these two factors is very important when it comes to relocation. I have nobody abroad who can accommodate me till I secure a job and also don't have enough fund to get accommodation until I find my feet. |

How do you guys handle uber customers that pay with card on the app. It’s confusing and I just feel like I have been robbed. |

TheWeekend111:I think you once came to my DM with this same offer, though I am not completely sure. To be honest, your proposal has several issues. First, you are asking for hire purchase without any significant downpayment. To be honest no sane person will agree to this. My advice is that you do rentals for about three months. By the fourth month, when your money comes in, you can then propose hire purchase or even decide if the amount you have is enough to buy your own car. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ThatNiccur: 2:55pm On Dec 05, 2025 |
Jamie90:For a card trip, the platform only tells you to complete ride at the end of the trip, for a cash trip, it asks you to collect cash, when you click on collect cash, it calculates the fare and asks that you collect the calculated amount from the rider. If the first scenario is the case, you are on track. You just need to navigate through the accounts section of the app to the part where you will enter your banking details and Uber pays you the excess on your account every week, they also deduct their commission from your card payments, so if after deducting their commission, you still have some excess (meaning you did more of card trips), the excess will be paid to your account at the beginning of the new week. Where the second scenario is the case. Go to that particular trip receipt and report to Uber that the rider did not pay, stating pick up and drop off locations and every other thing that may have transpired in between, which may be important in your report. Uber pays for the trip and may even compensate where necessary. With Uber, you're always safe either ways. Cheers! |

TheWeekend111:It's so funny how you gave such for an example without considering what the person will benefit, It shows how your level of entitlement is, do you think you're doing the person a favour, someone should dash you 3.6m and wait 4months to get the exact value back. Next time, use your head. |

Bro, if you talk about been robbed on any other App, I no go talk, but Uber? Forget, no cheating for photograph, na as you stand you go appear in the photo. Go to you dash board, click on Earnings, you will see all your trips, click on the particular one you're not sure about, it'll show you how much was added to your wallet and how much Uber deducted. | Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Vela01: 9:23pm On Dec 05, 2025 |
Bro, as a matter of fact, its your job to know if it's card trip or not. If you've been on Minus before and you do card trip, they'll deduct their money first. And when you're owing them up to 5k, they will tell you that you'll pay from your next trip, so the only trip they'll be giving you will be card. You can work with Uber and not transfer money to them for 1 month especially if you dey chop their trip Quest bonus. Jamie90: |

PeaceMaker24:It happened to me also. I had to tell the rider to pay the estimated price after restarting my phone and the bolt app. Got a ride on indrive, and on my way to pickup the rider less than 1km, the trip eventually ended and 1k was added to the fare. I contacted bolt support and explained what happened but this people refuse to compensate. Bolt is very useless, all the care about is there commission nothing more. I guess the glitch was nationwide. |
