Make sure you have lots of money that covers the duration of your study in Serbia, because you probably won’t find a job good enough to sustain you. Also make sure you’re going without the false intention that crossing into the EU is easy because they share borders with EU countries like Romania and Hungary. I have seen lots of Africans with such intention stranded and depressed. Serbians don’t need a visa to enter the eu doesn’t mean foreigners living in Serbia enjoys the same privilege. Don’t go to Serbia with unrealistic expectations because you’ll hate the country. Having said that, Serbia is a lovely country with friendly people. All the Africans complaining about the loneliness and isolation in the west probably didn’t visit Serbia. Serbians are the least racist people you’ll meet. You’ll feel at home there as a black man. Just respect their culture, make effort to learn their language and integrate. That’s how you’ll unlock their hospitality that will always draw you back to Serbia if you ever leave. |

Doctorova:Why Serbia ? When I landed in their airport sometime in July on transit to Athens, It struck me as a poor country, even though I didn't step outside. Abeg look for better country , before you enter fire from frying pan. |
