Racheal45:You just read my mind. I wish tinubu long life, even though I'm not his fan. One thing is sure after him, in lagos and a few other places where he had influenced the installation of traditional rulers...they will all be dethroned and the rightful people will be enthroned. Mark today's date. As a matter of fact, a lot of things will be undone. |

In Jude Abaga's voice, we can retire kings now respecting the crown isn't paramount again. |

casualobserver:You're a small boy .Who put dapo abiodun there? He had committed a lot of atrocities here in lagos over our traditional institution by putting the wrong people on the various thrones which nobody has been able to challenge him on. A lot of them will be dethroned as soon as Tinubu's empire ends. Mark today's date |

Going through this passage, there's a paragraph that really interest me which I will like to clarify. To start with, I am not surprised by Wasiu's behavior at the airport. He is very arrogant and proud because he never knew that he would be in the position he accidentally found himself. What concerns me is that of the vacant tool of Awùjalẹ̀ of Ìjẹ̀búland which some people are insinuating that Wasiu might be the next Awùjalẹ̀ because he is Olori Omo Oba. For clarity, the Olori Omo Oba title bestowed on Wasiu is just an honorary chieftaincy title. This title was first given to late Otunba Subomi Ashiru Balogun just to honour him. It has nothing to do with any ruling house in Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde. Although, Ọ̀túnba Subomi Ashiru Balogun belonged to one of the 8 families in Fùṣẹngbùwà Ruling House. Secondly, Wasiu is not from Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde. His father is from Epe. He is an Ifa Oracle man. He migrated to Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde and settled down at Fìdípọ̀tẹ̀ Street in Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde where he practiced his Ifa Oracle tradition. So, there's no link between Wasiu's dad and any Ruling House in Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde. For this reason there's no way he could have fought for Awùjalẹ̀ stool because he doesn't belong to any ruling house which is Fìdípọ̀tẹ̀ Ruling House. Thirdly, there's no rift in Fùṣẹngbùwà which is the next ruling Ruling House as claimed by some people. The Fùṣẹngbùwà Ruling House comprises of eight families in which each family have its own Olórí-Ẹbí and then the overall Olórí-Ẹbí. The meeting is on going in each of the 8 families in Fùṣẹngbùwà Ruling House to deliberate on concensus candidate to be recommended to the kings makers. I am writing as an Insider from Fùṣẹngbùwà Ruling House. So, Wasiu's matter should be ruled out. Even if it is the turn of Fìdípọ̀tẹ̀ Ruling House, Ìjẹ̀bú-Òde indegenes wouldn't allow it. There's no room for "Asawo" in Ijebu Ode in Ijebu Ode Ruling Houses. If he tries any move he will hear his story. Wasiu's immediate junior sister got married to Colonel Awote who built his house at Erinlu on Imodi Imosan Road in Ijebu Ode. Ko si bi won mati pin Elede ti itan e ma kon Lemomu ni, oro Wasiu ni ti Oba Ijebu Ode. |

Omihanifa:You do NOT contest for a "stool" in Yorubaland or anywhere, you contest for the THRONE as an Oba. Period. |
| Re: KWAM 1: Wasiu Ayinde Wants To Be The Next Awujale Of Ijebuland by AlphaTaikun: 11:19pm On Dec 05, 2025 |
Nowahala01:A deeply insightful.post right ABOVE. First off, I want this attitude of calling folks and sections of the media referring to the THRONE of an Oba in Yorubaland or elsewhere as a "stool." It's deeply demeaning to say that because aside from the Ashanti of Ghana, NO king in Yorubaland sits on a "stool" BUT on a THRONE. Second, however Epe LGA in Lagos State is ALSO part of the larger Ijebuland which extends from Lagos State right into Ogun State. Ibeju-Lekki LGA and "Ikorodu" LGA, Ajah, are ALSO extensions of the larger Ijebuland that were carved out of the Old Western Region on May 27, 1967 by General Yakubu Gowon's military government to create the new Lagos State... With over 95% of the current land mass of the current Lagos State being carved out from the original Old Western Region (including Ikorodu, Epe, Ikeja, Ibeju-Lekki, Ojo, Badagry, Orile Iganmu, Mushin, Isolo, Oshodi, Ilupeju, and more) led by the dynamic Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, and his team of innovative thinkers. My question is this: Is it possible that Wasiu's father might have become a naturalized indigene of Ijebu-Ode despite being originally from Epe? Could it be that his family lineage ORIGINALLY migrated from Ijebu-Ode to Epe in the 1800s and then he returned. I write these BECAUSE I know full well that back in the 1800s, many Yoruba folks moved a lot from one Yoruba community to another due to the unfortunate Yoruba Civil Wars and quest for new lands to settle on. Part of the warrior Owus for instance settled in Abeokuta (Owu-Abeokuta), while some other Owus settled in Ijebuland and are known as Owu-Ijebu people as of today. The warrior Egbas were originally the indigenous people of Ibadan before migrating out in 1830 under Chief Sodeke from Ibadan to establish Abeokuta and settle in the nearby environs. All the BEST to all Ijebu folks in the impending selection of the NEXT Awujale of Ijebuland by whatever legitimate means. |

Eriokanmi:Look here @Eriokanmi You're repeating this same FALSE claims for the second time on this NL thread page. NOBODY is going to be "dethroned" after the now President 'Bola Tinubu's dynasty or whatever you call it ends. These are figments of your wild imagination. What are you planning to do? Assassinate the Obas? The reigning Oniru of Iru in Iruland (Iruland being the ORIGINAL Yoruba name of Victoria Island) for instance was Tinubu's ADC when he was the Governor of Lagos State BUT he will last his course as the Oba till death. Period. |

Nowahala01:Yorùbá! I hail o. Ọ̀tẹ̀ ti bẹ̀rẹ̀ nìyẹn? It is nothing strange at a time like this though. Na now una know say Wasiu is not indigenous to Ijebu but Epe....lol Even at that, Epe and Ijebu are family abeg. |

Westman001:The system doesn't run like that of the European Monachies. In Yorubaland, there are usually ruling houses that take turns in producing the King. All Royal bloods can at a point produce the king, provided that you are a Prince and it is your house turn to rule. This is where the Oracle comes in choosing the King amongst many aspiring Prince from a particular house. |

Westman001:I am not responsibility for your education. You are responsible for acquiring knowledge. This is ideology you have expected jg people to come and feed you with knowledge instead of searching for knowledge is why you are ignorant of something as basic as this. Even my 9years old son knows that every kingdom in the world has their own methods that have been passed down through generations. Keep waiting for me. Don't go and acquire knowledge, stay in your ignorance and be acting arrogant in public space with an empty head |

Westman001:Go and seek knowledge like a normal human should. Take responsibility for your knowledge. You want me to start giving you the method for the hundreds of kingdoms in the world. This is why you don't know anyting |
