If Peter Obi wants to run as a candidate on his own in 2027, I will personally campaign against him and any party he joins. Peter Obi's hesitation in committing to ADC now is no longer acceptable. In fact, ADC should give everyone interested in 2027 up to February 28, 2026 deadline to either register with the party of forget 2027. That leaves every candidate a minimum of at lrast 12 months before 2027 elections.

We need a cohesive opposition coalition in ADC in 2027. Whether Obi likes or not, LP is not going to pull half of the 2023 results. With PDP in quagmire and LP in the hands of presidency, only ADC is the credible opposition.

Obi is targeting the ZLP but a landmine has been placed there for him, unbeknownst to him. Tinubu/Wike will do whatever it takes to ensure he doesn't get a viable platform to contest. If he does, it will be a miracle if he gets half of his 2023 votes contesting alone. Time is a gentleman. His indecision has cost him voters but his political advisers on twitter (Sarah and Yunusa) are still holding out to cashout. The Southeast need to pivot away from Obi if he chooses to gamble again with their political destiny. 2027 will largely be a two-horse race.

Peter Obi has shown he is not interested in the race. Lets leave him to focus on his book tour.

That's what some of us said in the past and were attacked. Even his closest aides don't even know.

Peter Obi will run solo. He wants it zoned to the South in the ADC and I can assure you even if that is done, Amaechi will take the ticket.

Obi is comfortable as opposition leader, he is not desperate to be President, he is more or less a critic. From what I see, he even prefers a Tinubu there to Atiku, otherwise where are the structures he is building. Nobody should tell me, I am the structure because that was not how he became Anambra Governor. He had and built structures!

Obi should not contest in 2027, his philanthropy is leading more hearts than an election whose outcome is all but determined.... That's my honest advice.

That was Otti's safe nest until a fall out with the Chair sometime last year.

Obi is smarter than you. He can't commit to a party that has already committed their ticket to Atiku. Atiku is the flagbearer of ADC so OBI already saw the red line

Because the owner of the head has been complaining of headache. It was Peter Obi that said ADC has not zoned position women infact he has not joined the party. How can the party zone position when they do not know those who are members.

Atiku, Amaechi, Aregbesola, etc are already building the party in their regions. Obi is holding podcasts and demanding for the party ticket that he isn't a member of. His half-hearted commitment to the ADC led to a disaster at the Anambra polls plus his diehard supporters have become weary. He should opt out of the race as advised, lest he risks setting the Southeast decades back as Soludo was trying to tell him back in 2023.
Re: Peter Obi Should Take A Stand Now by FriendsAndFans(m): 7:11pm On Dec 06, 2025
He will contest against Atiku in primaries. Nobody will be handed any ticket. You have to earn it
Re: Peter Obi Should Take A Stand Now by Igbophobia: 7:19pm On Dec 06, 2025
Peter Obi is not the source of your problems. The man is head and shoulder above your run-of-the-mill Nigerian politician in terms of having the interest of the country and citizens at heart. This is enough reason why those who have enslaved you would never want him to set you free. If you're hyping the ADC hijacked by the same crooked politicians like Atiku, I think Obi rather stay in Labour or not contest at all. When you all are tired of suffering you know what to do.

Peter Obi isn't contesting
Re: Peter Obi Should Take A Stand Now by Salewa97: 7:22pm On Dec 06, 2025
The opposition coalition should be in the opposition.

The ruling party APC is not lacking in any way. The oppositions are just confused

Your desperation is clear for all to se. You want Obi to become canon fodder for your stealing masters in ADC?

Eshinwaju:

No, I don't. I promise you. I want Obi to contest independently in whatever party he chooses. Unlike in 2023, he will be doing damage to Tinubu contesting alone. It wasn’t the ADC that destroyed LP to deny Obi a platform and destroyed PDP to deny Jonathan a platform. There's a reason why that was done. Go figure!

He owe us a say, just tell his followers where he is headed. If not ADC, he is just empowering Tinubu. If that happens, he will become a political failure and can never taste presidency. First, the North will get 2031 to 2039, by which time new faces will be around to relegate him.

it is now clear you are an opposition just trying to malign Obi.

So you didn't see Obi campaigning for the ADC Candidate but still turned around to blame him for the loss of ADC in Anambra. Even a toddler knows that ADC stood no chance in Anambra but as usual, always looking for silly things to attack Obi. Go ahead is your choice. Let's see the chance ADC stands in adamawa , Rivers that you claimed those other guys are building

ADC should zone the presidential ticket even if they wanna zone it to the North, we don't mind but they must do zoning first

Peter Obi no care about your honest advice. He also knows it's the turn of southern Nigeria in 2027, so he will contest.

Atiku your candidate failed to support his party man in 2015 because he said it's the turn of the north.

So, I am not ipob to support my candidate again?

Peter Obi should just join the ADC already. The hesistation is becoming awkward.

But I like the fact that he is not joining the other opposition party. That is a good move.

Is there ever a time I claim you're IPOB? IPOB members will even find it hard to support Atiku, though Igbos will rather vote a Fulani muslim than to vote a Yoruba man.

It's the turn of the south in 2027, just the way Atiku claimed it's the turn of the north in 2015.

Peter Obi and Atiku will contest and they will both lose the election. Atiku will cry like a baby again in 2027.

Re: Peter Obi Should Take A Stand Now by Anither563: 7:11am On Dec 07, 2025
He will not join ADC. He will likely join Nkanu's party.

That is the real problem of ADC and its leaders should be aware of that.

He may even choose to run as an independent candidate.
