For a coup to have head or be successful in Nigeria it needs a foreign backer like Russia who has been backing a lot coup across Africa, but even that will not guarantee success, pretty sure our generals are quite comfortable with were they're.

Anybody dreaming of coup is wasting their time, and such idea should be shelved.

LordAdam16:
action and reaction are equal and opposite forces

in the US, a democrat senator is asking the military to disobey illegal orders
africa, particularly sub-Saharan africa, cannot be stuck in this eternal tailspin without any punctuation
it is impossible

if communism starts failing in china, there will be an uprising, coup, whatever you call it
russia, the west, anywhere on planet earth
if a system of governance is failing, people will seek an alternative and opportunists will leverage the dissatisfaction

we've done eight years of buhari
we do eight years of tinubu
then we do eight years of shettima
and then another eight years of a southern disaster

someday there will be a coup and everyone will be scratching their heads trying to figure out the reason when it is blatant
if you put french people in any sub-Saharan african country, there would be uprisings every month
africa's case is just so hopeless that no system will work here
not democracy. not communism. not monarchy. not military rule
revolving door of bullsh*t

now to prevent a coup, tinubu will have to be come down hard on politicos and PEPs
which will create a negative feedback loop that ironically increase the odds of a coup

-Lord
So what's the way forward for Africa?

It appears the coup In Benin has not been suppressed as claimed by Bayo Onanuga and the Benin interior minister

The leaser of the coup has reappeared on TV denying teh coup has been suppressed. He also called On Beninoise to come out and support the coupists.

It's junior officers that always carry out coups na. In most African countries, it's junior officers that carry out coup after which they will either kpai or arrest any senior military officer that doesn't support their course.

Totalky uncalled for. I don't know her but she definitely didn't think it through before doing what she did.

I don't see the sense in baking a cake to look exactly like a Quran only to cut and eat it on camera. It seems she's chasing clout with the wrong idea

It's not a competition.

If you know another religion will be triggered by it, why show it for the world to see?

Who cares if they get triggered or not over a harmless cake.

This fear of Muslims and Islam is one of the reasons they keep getting away with rubbish in this country. I guarantee if it was a Bible cake it won't even make it here or make any headline. We need to start putting them in their place.

you do things that are normal, it doesn't attract much traction. But when you do controversial things, you get popular quickly.
It appears to develop quick attention, just play on people's religious emotions.

I don't see anything wrong with the cake.
