@Judawoo

You’re absolutely right. I’ve had 6 previous Schengen visas from Italy, both business and tourist, but the longest they ever issued me was just a 2-month multiple-entry visa.

They even rescheduled my appointment from September to November, and I had no plans to travel in November. That’s why I decided to apply through France instead. My new appointment with France TLS is on September 23rd, and in both my application form and cover letter I clearly requested a long-term Schengen visa from France.

So when Italy moved my appointment from September to November—when I had no travel plans—I chose to apply via France, where I was able to get an earlier date for September 23rd. Besides, the Italian consulate has never given me a long visa anyway, so I’d rather not wait until November 3rd just to risk the same outcome of sort team visa always issue by italy again.
WOW my first was belgium with 1 month, second with portugal with 6 months and spain 1 month, i will apply next with portugal to see if i will get 1 year, frequent traveler with short stay is so annoyed

Please I need the help of anyone's who's familiar with this process.
I've been waiting on my visa for over 8 months.

I applied for a long term stay visa on the basis of family reunification and submitted at TLS since 13 June 2024 .
As far as I know all my documents and requirements are complete but I'm yet to receive my visa.
I've called and emailed both TLS and the embassy several times but with no response.

Is it usually like this?
If there's any who applied for family reunification visa please let me know how long it took.
Hi, good day to you.
Wanted to know if the embassy granted you your visa. I applied since 11th of June at the embassy in Lagos for family reunion visa, I still haven’t gotten response from them.

Family union usually can take more time but with Italy is something else

Same thing with Abuja. No appointment for Italy visa application for 2025 this year. I had already booked 2 months ago, with my appointment date on this past Sept 1st.

This information was originally from the Italy Embassy, not just from TLS. As a frequent traveller, I was surprised to receive a call from the Italy Consulate and was given options to pick a date between Nov 3 or Nov 7. I then asked why, and I was told there were some issues and that they were fully booked for the year 2025. They said they only gave me this privilege because I am a frequent traveller. I then asked if I could change my appointment location to Abuja, and I was told that even in Abuja there are no appointments for this year.
Wow, thats so crazy. I got a study grant to start nov/oct.........so now i can not apply for visa appointment..?

Good evening everyone,

Please, I need some guidance on how to apply for an Italian visa for a conference coming up in January. It’s a fully sponsored 5-day conference, and I’ll be presenting my research there.

I thought I could just apply online, but do I need to legalize any documents? If yes, which ones should be legalized?

Thank you for your help. I want to apply by October ending.
Re: Italy Visa by cutelukz: 10:35am On Oct 24, 2025
For frequent travellers, Tls has released appointment dates between October 29 and November 6.

You don't need to do anything and nothing to worry about, I have hard numerous schengen visas with one year validity from Italy embassy. I just submitted another application on the same date with you. The last one I got was this year, February, and expired August this year for six months. The previous was for one year. Don't worry about the message of some documents are missing, that is has their site is programed. I have gotten numerous with that same words everything I submit application. and still get my visa okay.

₦ 30,000–₦ 40,000 range appears to be a working estimate used by some agents, but cannot be guaranteed.

Hello everyone. first time applying for an Italian visa, i am going to Italy for a week for a sort of academic/writing conference in April. what category do i fall, tourism or professional? And also, can I use my Kuda account as my bank proof of funds, although the conference has paid for everything, accommodation, feeding and other things, but I will be paying for my flight and internal transport. then one more thing, i noticed that TLC offers the service for the application, should i pay that they do it for me or i do it myself because i have checked the website and its giving me some issues-like, i cant go to the next stage. every piece of information will be appreciated.
