Watch the moment First Lady Oluremi Tinubu frankly instructed Governor Ademola Adeleke to read his speech and stop singing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1rfnYaNQn4

Osun state governor Ademola Adeleke was asked to deliver welcome speech but he was busy singing and dancing. First Lady angrily went to him and asked him to focus on his written speech or leave the stage.

Ade dancer was really embarrassed

The Tinubu clan trying to dress themselves in some sort of sanctimonious facade, while pretending like they are the ones with class and decorum..

What a time to be alive..

Only in Nigeria will someone pull that skit off with all sorts of solid drug cases, kwaruption scandals and even murder cases dangling over his oblong skull like swords of damocles...

Nice one from the first lady. Ade dancer turned musician, deliver speech and leave you suddenly turned to choir master that forgot protocol.

The busy first lady, who has something better to do with her time have to remind the time waster of why he was there.

The governor is a 🤡
I've always said this
Serious people are serious with their time you want to sing and dance for 10 minutes like Wike

Watched it, seemed like a friendly banter to me though. She was just nudging him to keep to time.
Re: Oluremi Tinubu Cautions Governor Adeleke On Stage (Video) by parags(m): 12:38pm On Dec 08, 2025
We don't respect time in this country . You can't have dignitaries at a function and decide that is when you want to start singing and dancing .

Now Remi does not need to do that . She should have just left with her entourage . No time to waste time. At times all you need to do is make a statement by your actions without saying a word .

Since he had a guest (the first lady) who ceremonially in the Nigerian political context is more powerful than him, he should have exercised some decorum. He should have been wiser. On the part of the first lady, she should have tolerated him there and kept the caution for later.

Both of them acted badly, my conclusion.

Modified:
Those of you who are reacting ignorantly to my comments will never succeed in the Nigerian political environment. Your reactions simply show that you lots have zero understanding of what political environment you live in. Make Adeleke get serious personal problem with Remi Tinubu first, then make we see how he wan take win reelection. That's when you all will realize how slow you are. cheesy

Understanding your political environment is very crucial. Patience Jonathan singlehandedly pulled the strings that made Wike governor of Rivers state after Amaechi had disrespected her. I just dey laff una. Remi fit sign your nomination form and then you go see yourself for house of assembly, house of reps or even senate sef. Bunch of political sissies! I needed to school you folks. angry

Nigerians and false Narratives…….. na why false doctors, pastors, imams, Dey thrive…

The truth is the society is grossly indiscipline and we lack respect for time..

Patience Jonathan ceased the phone when Amaechi was speaking and gave him a public dressing down at the Okrika water front. And over 12 years later, we are still dealing with the fallout from that event. If Amaechi had not supported Buhari against Jonathan, there is no way Buhari would have won.

BeeBeeOoh:
The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerian youths to be hard-working, saying, “There is no food for lazy man.”

Mrs Tinubu said this during a courtesy visit to the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Thursday.

She noted that while the Tinubu-led administration is working hard to provide sustainable solutions to the current challenges facing the country, Nigerians should also work hard to provide for themselves.

The first lady maintained that the government will do all it takes to ensure that Nigerians are not disappointed and called for patience with Tinubu’s administration.

Mrs Tinubu said: “There is no food for the lazy man; even God worked for six days and rested on the seventh day.

“Nigeria is a land that’s flowing with milk and honey, but we need to sustain it for generations to come.

“God has richly blessed my family before getting to the presidency and we are content with what we have.

“What is happening in the country, we are just two years into our administration, we are not the cause of the current situation. We are trying to fix and secure the future.

“I have embarked on several journeys but it seems that people are not seeing what God is doing in the land. Nations across the globe want to do business with us, legally, on the table. There is a government in power now that they know it is accountable.

“We are trying all our efforts to ensure that the economy is stabilised and the masses are living meaningful lives since the removal of fuel subsidy.”

The First Lady should have sent a note or an aide to inform the Governor that he should respect time and go straight to his speech. I have nothing to about the Governor. You can only give what you have.

Opinions may vary on this. Personally, I don't think Governor Adeleke committed any offense by singing as a prelude to his speech, but it became boring and unnecessary when it dragged on. The First Lady also reacted appropriately, though it wasn't necessary. I'm sure she would have reacted similarly if it were an abokir Governor?
