The Benue Buffaloes’ players and officials suffered a harrowing ordeal last Friday when they were ambushed on their way back from the Handball Premier League 2025.

According to a statement from the federation, the team was robbed of all their belongings and abducted by armed men. Thankfully, they were later rescued through the swift intervention of Nigerian Army troops.

DIfficult to ascertain because most abductors when injured don't go to a legit hospital. They go and hide in their hideout and get treated by a willing medical personell.

Also, some abductors retreat once they see the superior firepower. If the army or police outnumbers them, dey no go stay behind to fight to the death, dem go cut their losses by leaving behind their victims and run for it.

Anyway, still another possible scenario. But for a long time, the army and the police have always taken glory for victims that pay ransom. I know of a particular case and its so annoying. Difficult to believe anything police or army says in this country

If their is no arrest or casualty from those kidnapers then a ransom was paid to them go.Is simple as ABC we should stop decieving ourselves.

They rescued them and they couldn't apprehend any of the kidnapers, big joke in Nigeria. Who is fooling who?
