The two (2) ruthless military officers who are recorded to have pulled the cleanest "HIT" on Government in Nigeria history are Major. Kaduna Nzeogwu and Lt. Gen T.Y Danjuma.

It was recorded that Major Kaduna Nzeogwu replicated the mordern day " James Bond" in the "Operation Danmisa" that captured the Northern region and saw him personally executing the capture and eliminating of Sir. Ahmadu Bello, Col. Ademulegun, and other senior officers located in Northern Nigeria. He went in the Sarudana's apartment alone with a pistol and grenade.

Major Kaduna Nzeogwu did not do anything heroic because he only betrayed and murdered his benefactor and his wife.

It was a war situation Murtala was doing his job as an army officer protecting the indivisibility of Nigeria
Only Igbos see Murtala as a bad person and their points made no sense as Biafran Army were killing Nigerian soldiers but they expected Murtala Mohammed to fold his arms and not defend himself and allow Biafran soldier to come and kill him.

What you are very ignorant about is that Kaduna Nzeogwu was particular and sympathetic towards Obafemi Awolowo, infact Capt. Nwobushi who was amongst the Jan 66' plotters revealed that they were jealous of the rapid developments in the southwest led by Awolowo.

Kaduna Nzeogwu saw all the documents linked to the imprisonment of Awolowo so he was convinced.

The major reason for the coup as revealed in the Kola Alapinni's Police Investigation & Why we struck was the alleged intention of the Sarudana of Sokoto's Islamization of Nigeria.

But Gowon too didn't prosecute them. Did he? No. When Nzegwuo died,Gowon even gave him a full military honours and his corpse was buried at the Military cemetery in Kaduna till date
