Good question and the burkinabes are posturing like they are prepared for confrontation.
Tuggar should actually visit himself and handle it with wisdom.
I think it's only normal for them to posture lie that but they won't go for confrontation with Nigeria at thsi point in time.

They may use the Nigerian military guys as bargaining chip for whatever they want from Nigeria, but going confrontational with naija is a step too big and too wrong to take.

Only sane country in EU,the cult leaders in EU won't rest until they corrupt this lovely country, they want Hungary to import filths from Islamic countries, that will be pledging allegiance to their fake cult god and their fake ass country.

God protect orban and Hungary, only true country to stand out as a Christian nation.
Seconded. Orban is a wise leader. Doesn't allow the foreign policy of Budapest to be determined by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

Let's hope a diplomatic arrangement can be made made with the Burkinabes for our military men to come home.

But what is our military aircraft doing in Burkina Faso airspace? I thought it was Benin we had military intervention, not Burkina Faso
They need to assess the general combat readiness of our military and their overall quality.

All these little hiccups are suggestive of deeper problems.

Exactly why I hope a diplomatic solution to the problem is provided.

Let it not be that we are banking on past glory and rush into an unnecessary armed conflict that will impact negatively on our economic fortune.

Countries like Burkina Faso no really get much to lose like that if matters escalate into an armed conflict, we on the other hand have so much to lose at this time
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 10:35am On Dec 09, 2025
In principle, APC’s heavy borrowing since 2015 isn’t an issue, plenty of countries have leveraged massive loans to leap into development.

The real failure is the chronic lack of transparency. Borrowing isn’t a crime, misusing the loans is. Instead of channeling funds into necessary infrastructure, too much of it disappears into private pockets and sponsoring side-chicks.

If Nigeria genuinely wants to reach South African-level infrastructure, we’re looking at least $100 billion in strategic borrowing. With $100–200 billion, the country could actually modernize; power, transport, logistics, public systems.

We are painfully behind, and you only truly understand how wide the gap is once you’ve stepped outside Nigeria. Fix electricity and core infrastructure, and every other sector will fall into place.

Even if it does not become an armed conflict they need to review our military. The soldiers might be courageous and selfless but that is not useful in f the training and quality aspect of it are deficient.

Maybe the struggle against Boko Haram and co is not just due to lack of political will and enemies within.

I have no information about this but I suspect military regimes will prioritise such training compared to civilian regimes.

A civilian regime will be happy to allow the top generals send only a few majors to the expensive training courses while the generals pocket the change. A happy general is a safe general.

Just a far-fetched theory of mine.

You made a very valid point, most of the top generals will rather embezzle those funds knowing nobody can arrest or try them for misappropriation of funds except the military authorities which they are part of.

This matter of Nigerian Miliatry aircraft allegedly detained in Burkina Faso no clear at all.

There's a video of the Burkina Faso authorities claiming they detained Nigerian Military personnel after they forced them to land within Burkina Faso's territory.

Nigerian Airforce released a press statement claiming they made an emergency landing while enroute Portugal, they received cordial treatment from the Burkinabe authorities and that they acted in accordance with standard safety procedures and international aviation protocols.

Who do we say is telling the truth and who is telling lies here now? Why does it feel like our Military employing propaganda to deescalate matters ?
