so civilians there are more powerful than the elite military that gave orders for it to be groundedhuh Tell me something I don't know
Well, there are international protocols to be followed as guided by ICAO regarding overflyer flights over countries airspaces and giving priority to aircraft's in distress.

These 3 counties are landlocked and we can ensure a blockade on them from the coast and also bypass their airspace an deny any aircraft intending to land there our own air space .

So if they want to be a hermit kingdom , we will so ensure it.

I don't know why some people like to propagate falsehood about their nation.
It is always good to keep mute on matters you don't have credible information about.

The Guardian reported this release of both crew and aircraft since yesterday.
The plane was said to have developed technical issues enroute Portugal and decided to have an emergency landing at the nearest airport in accordance with international aviation protocol, which was Burkina Faso.

So, what is the fuss about the propagation of falsehood about your own nation?

Haters who wishes to be unfortunate this Yuletide season should quote me at their own peril.

They released some pictures and statements just a day after the incident to claim it didn’t happen, now we’re here.

APC and Tinubu have turned every organ of government and even the military into their propaganda machine.
No matter how battle tested and hardened they are. .they are no match for the Nigerian Army. Don't be foolish thinking the way BH is handled would be same way with external enemy soldiers

As France dey rappo with Nigeria they vex those guys. And it's true France fit use naija to get at them. France wey the countries Dem colonize na the poorest in the world. None, I say none is prosperous. They took and still taking everything among the ones remaining.
It's a shame naija don't see below the belt that nothing good will come from that collabo. Though it's always for personal and cabal selfish reasons.

You just spoke my mind, so I wouldn't say much.

The above stated are questions begging for answers. Burkina Faso will likely blow the fuse. Or let's see how it all turns out.

What a nation that puts even in citizens in doubt of what's going on per time.

What was the essence of quickly deploying soldiers to Benin when your roof is almost burnt down?

I hope that some day in our lifetime we will have a real country.

Kalashnikov49:
My take:

Who sent the plane to Burkina Faso.
A C130 is a Transport plane. What was the essence of the trip.? What equipment was it carrying?
Portugal has refuted the lie of the Army claiming they were coming for a visit.

The fact that the Army came and told lies means explicitly that the SECURITY apparatus of the country is totally compromised.

Burkina Faso is a member of West African Nations that are against ECOWAS and have already threatened to bring down any rescue JET that is foreign to their airspace.

Will they now use propaganda to cover this obvious void in the chain of command in the armed forces?

Burkina Faso is totally ready for anything.

Now it's obvious that FRANCE has the ballz of TINUBU in their hands.

Anything France says, TINUBU does.

Awon Sophisticated strategist....come and talk.

Nonsense.

Regional extremism

NIGERIA will NEVER work.

In all European countries, all nations have a common language and orientation. That is why you hardly have chaos and internal wranglings.

NIGERIA is NOT meant to be a NATION.

Let everyone go their desperate ways and see development that will be implemented by necessity.

But the same Nigeria is sitting down watching bandits, terrorists kill its own citizens in thousands, run over military bases, kill security officers, capture and kill a general, taking territories and collecting taxes on behalf of government as a government of its own, who is the joker here, you or Tinubu or both of you?

Are you saying the democracy in Benin republic is more important than the lives of Nigerians?

France just like UK is a colonial master that refuses to let countries they colonise to have freedom.

The UK is very comfortable doing their bidding through the Fulani Northern Oligarchy.

France is very comfortable doing their through the SW region. Tinubu and Obasanjo

Remember, Obasanjo gave Cameroon, Bakassi peninsula that Abacha refused adamantly.

It's all about their personal aggrandizement. They don't love the NIGERIA they claim to love. If Bakassi was in the SW, Obasanjo will NEVER allow it , but because it's a SE region .it's not worth it according to him.

All Peter Obi supporters that appreciate Obasanjo should know that if a chance occurs today for Obasanjo to be PRESIDENT contesting against Peter Obi. He Obasanjo will NEVER stepdown for OBI.

Obasanjo might be enemies to TINUBU, but when it comes to individual actions, it's all about their personal interests.

Dem no send anyone message.
Lies. The United Kingdom has let every nation they colonized chart their own course unlike France. Or can you tell me when last they intervened in any crisis in Nigeria?

When Boris Johnson a former PM told you that NIGERIA is peaceful you think is because he loves you?

When they set the groundwork for rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya, you thought is because they love you?

They are protecting their interest in NIGERIA.

The day NIGERIA leaves the Commonwealth is the day you will see them in full action.

UK holds NIGERIA and your France affiliation is the real cause of the insecurities in NIGERIA.

Where are those Nairaland delusional lots that were castigating SaharaReporter and accusing them of being merchant of fake news when they first break the news of the seized plane few days ago?
When another statement came out thanking the government and people of Burkinafasso for their hospitality towards the officers in the seized plane and that they have fixed the plane technical issues and it's on its way to Portugal already, there was while jubilation in Nairaland by a certain unpatriotic folk claiming to be more patriotic than others who sees the truth and say it the way it is.

Seeking debts forgiveness in place of protection of territorial integrity of a sovereign state of Nigeria?
What do you called that?
Till today, did that government that value debts forgiveness more than it's citizens considered where the indigenous people of Bakassi scattered to and how they survive?
Like someone asked,if Bakassi was to be a L.G.A in Ogun state or Lagos state, will OBJ government had done what it did?
