eejo:we are so in tune with the white man and can't seem to believe anything done by Africans can be original and authentic. It is a globally persistent ideology that has been used to justify systemic oppression, colonization, and racial hierarchies. Africans don’t hate themselves. They hate the conditions they were forced to live in. They hate the systems that failed them. They hate the struggles they didn't choose. With better leadership, stronger economies, and proud cultural revival, many of these issues will fade. |

eejo:I wont blame our leaders but I'll say we are not united as one and we kind of have pride or beef with our black person everytime . We always want to be better than our neighbor rather than being one with ourself maybe its the vision sold in television , the media the seed of division, hate religion ,politics . The truth remains that we are not united as one. Charity begins at home - a monogamy family of 6 , if they have good mother would be united. Because the foundation is there , but if there is hidden trama in the mum , it would show in the children, as they wont be united , the mum would pick favourite and manipulate the children even if she is not doing it consciously. FOUNDATION is key. Why African act other cultures, wear their wig , bleach their skin, and imitate accent in one world is because they feel inferior, or they been conditioned to feel inferior. Still the same thing everything is linked to Mind programming. Humans naturally feel emotion when we see a better version that we can also be in but feel limited Jesus help me today i really hope for this |

eejo:These behaviors stem from deep-seated issues like cultural alienation, historical trauma, and systemic inequalities perpetuated by neo-colonialism. This leads to internalized inferiority, where Africans unconsciously prioritize Western norms and values over their own, affecting identity, preferences, and self-worth. |

eejo:Displeasure with one's country isn't limited to Nigeria, it's borne out of hope that things could get better. Humans naturally tow towards order where everything is Balanced. People, Nigerians are constantly trying to find a Balance. However balance is the most difficult thing to achieve since alot of factors like security, economy and distribution of wealth is flawed. Football is entertainment, a world wide game under 6 continental confederatiion and it's normal for people to go for well broadcasted and funded leagues. It doesn't mean people from Caribbean, south America or Africa watch only their individual leagues alone. Each confederation will only be able to function, and perform based on how sponsors inject funds. That way, people get more access to well funded and organised games. Many Africans just like me have our home based clubs we support and know. The hair African women wear aren't white women, some are Indian and some are synthetic. It's a fashion trend that changes as time goes on. Infact women consider those hair as caps just like men wear flat hat caps. It's a fashion trend around the world. Travelling the world, The world is worth seeing and experiencing. Apart from lack of opportunities in some parts of Africa, people's innate desire is to see what other part of the world looks like. But to be able to fit into a new society, you have to take up a job In order to be civil and avoid crime. If there were high rated jobs visiting travellers could fit in, they most definitely wouldn't settle for the less which is available. It's been however proven, people excel the more they push rather than hoping and not acting. The reward for work is commensurate with effort over there. Africans change the way they speak when in overseas not because it makes them feel human. In linguistics, it's called Code-Switching. Generally, People change how they speak in new places through Code-switching, adapting their accent and vocabulary to fit in; to be better understood, build rapport or signal identity. Its a fluid skill |

Because a black man had been programmed to hate himself by his oppressor. Everything Black is synonymous to evil. - Black Maria - Black sheep - Black Skin An average black man has been conquered mentally. It takes those who are aware to break from this chain. |

eejo:It's probably due to herd mentality, which has been deeply ingrained in most people of african descent. To be precise sir eejo, "herd mentality" is when people in a group adopt similar behaviors, beliefs, or ideas, often abandoning their own judgment to conform, driven by a desire to fit in, fear of being different, or the perceived wisdom of the crowd. So, according this elaboration, people selling their properties to relocate abroad, africans supporting European football clubs than their communities' own, black african women wearing white people's hair to fell human, africans changing the way they speak when they move abroad - are partly due to this "herd mentality". Since they see others doing them, they easily conform and join the trend, due to the rampant inability of them to think critically and independently. Also, even though africans have been physically emancipated from the colonization of the whites, most africans still seems to be in mental slavery, psychologically inferior and tethered to things white people. This significantly explains why they easily pander to the tendencies of the whites. So, subconsciously, most africans are still seemingly under the colonization of the white people, so they see nothing good about their own countries. This directly and indirectly lowers their self esteem towards virtually everything that pertains to white people, take unreasonable risks and descend low to do odd jobs they won't do in their african countries of origin, sir eejo. |

eejo:Africans have lost their history and are having identity crisis. We may have money, but we don't have power. With power comes relevance. That's an African will sell everything and go overseas to feel relevant. Dress like a white person to feel relevant. Support foreign clubs to feel relevant. We say bad things about our country, forgetting that every country has its own issues including the white man's country and rather than insult their country they find a solution. Also, the image of the country has been damaged that when Africans travel overseas, they do their best to hide their nationality by changing their accent and lifestyle. |

| Re: Best Answer Win 100k by BItt: 12:14pm On Dec 11, 2025 |
eejo:1. These are complex questions but it all ends on how Media is used to control and society. The Media is being used as a tool to condition the Africa to think his country is the worse. They use Media to present the mother land as a bad place, so people start to hate their own country thinking paradise exists somewhere abroad. The deception is even more thicker when the media is used to present places in abroad as having all security, opportunities and easy wealth. But the cloak falls of when you get there and work your hours off. 2. Football didn't start in Africa, football started in Europe and that is why people pay more attention to Europe league than African League. Apart from that, even African players want to go to Europe to play so that they can be more recognized and also earn more. Europe league gets more recognition and promotion than African Leagues. So it's easy to remember names when the media calls your name or prompte you often. Both Ronaldo and Messi are not better than most African players, what they enjoy is just media attention. 3. African women are wearing white people hair to feel more acceptable because of the colonialism that Africans went through. The colonialist presented our own traditions, culture and way of life as archic and urged our women to dress like them. This social conditioning has followed several generations and it will be difficult to correct. Black is beautiful and natural hair is way better than fake hair 4. Africans sell everything and travel overseas thinking they will get a good job but the reality hits different when they get abroad. The Media also plays a large part in this because they deliberately don't show the bad side and unemployed side of their country over there. Also, here at home, jobs are not well paid for the value. So they will not want to do such jobs here at home. Africans that are able to travel has made sacrifices which others are unable to make. In that regard, they should be encouraged. 5. Africans are always quick to adapt to new area and language. And when they learn this, they subconsciously try to transmit it to the others. It's just like hearing a slang in Lagos bus, before you know it, everyone is saying it to feel among. So Africans start to speak in different tone once they pick a new language. They might not be perfect at first, but they quickly learn and adapt to those language. This is not because they want to feel different or special but because they want to be involved. Closing remarks, the media is a powerful tool that can be used to push different agenda. |

The white man already conditioned the black man's mind to think and behave in that particular way and we have refused to break away from the chains of slavery and servitude. They gave us allmst everything we use today including religion so why won't we dance to whatever their media pushes out. |

eejo:Because some of us just want to identify like the white race so bad I will say most Africans hate their country cause their country has failed them time and time again I will say most Africans support overseas clubs cause the football system here doesn't work Take Nigeria for example our league is dead Most Africans women wear the hair of a white lady because they feel they are more beautiful like that and they just want to hid under that umbrella Most people from Africa travel overseas to do the job they wouldn't do here because the pay is usually higher there are lots of opportunities for them over there and they see overseas as paradise Why do most Africans change the way they talk when overseas it all boils down to my first statement They just want to identify like the white race |

eejo:It's cause of our evil leaders and bad behavior starting from our ancestors who sold some of their people to the whites and other blacks. If there was a better country there will be more love , patriotism and praises for the country. If there was more development in our sport and football we will have huge support for our local clubs like South Africans and Egyptians do to their local teams. There was a time local clubs were hugely popular in Nigeria and players from there were occasionally picked to start for the super eagles. Enyimba was popular even before they won the CAF champions league because of the backing of their governor at the time orji uzor kalu If our government really had value for it's people and made life at least bearable for it's citizens we will embrace and love our country, love ourselves more and also attain higher respect in the eyes of other races who now detest us cause of going to slave for them in their country or commiting cyber crimes or drug trade cause of poverty. |

eejo: ThePureDiamond:To further diffuse this sir eejo, most africans aren't contented with what they have. They love comfort and flashy things, but lacks patience and endurance to build and sustain the comfort they so love and cherish. And, lack of contentment comes with envying what the white people's countries have. With envy comes bitterness. So, most africans speak negative of their countries - from a place of bitterness they harbour, against their own government that they perceive as inefficient and inept, compared to the governments of other countries that are doing far better. The bad treatment of the people of most african countries by their governments, makes it easy for most citizens to grow bitter and speak bad of their respective countries. Poor governance is also implicated in all these, infact, it is one of the causal factors, together with the africans comparing their countries to the white people's own, sir eejo. Africans support overseas football clubs and do not attach much relevance to clubs in their communities - because Nigeria, and most other african countries' domestic football leagues are bad and inferior, in terms of structures and organization, so they don't have the appeal that European football leagues possess. This is why most africans don't watch them. And, the reason they are so bad and inferior is that - those who govern the football and sports federation in most african countries, are fantastically corrupt, so due to this, they are inefficient, selfish and incompetent! They embezzle the funds meant for profound development of the domestic leagues; they habitually owe players and coaches salaries for months, especially in Nigeria. Nigerian referees don't get selected even for African cup of Nations competition, talk less of being shortlisted to referee CAF champions league or world cup matches. Since most africans love comfort and an enabling environment, if they can't get them in their countries, they would do whatever it takes or latch onto any available opportunity, to have access to the "comfort and enabling environment" they seek elsewhere, especially the white people's countries, even if they would have to settle for less or abandon their culture to fit in. To an extent, this explains why some africans are fond of selling all their properties and use the proceeds to relocate abroad, and on getting there take petty jobs and then fit in to be accepted, even if it means speaking like the white people or black african women wearing white people's hair, all in the name of thriving in a place that has the comfort and enabling environment they so seek, sir eejo. Apart from the facts elaborated above, the environment - has a way of influencing the way an individual behaves and live life. Most times, the environment influences the way an individual talks, his/her hairstyle of choice, the clothes an individual wears, the food an individual eats, e.t.c. Infact, the environment an individual finds him/herself in, has the power to influence or change his/her worldview in general. This happens subconsciously and consciously. So, apart from herd mentality and the need to fit in to feel human and be accepted by the whites, "environmental influence" is also partly responsible - for the change in accent to suit the white people's own, the wearing of the white people's hair by the black women to have a sense of belonging, e.t.c. When an african individual find him/herself in a new environment, in this case the white people's country, what happens is that - the subconscious of such individual would automatically start to absorb the varieties of informations that constitutes the white people's environment, and in turn, such individual would start acting out the absorbed informations physically, in real time. Then, it can be said that - such african individual has been influenced by the new environment and starts to act like the people he met there. This accounts for why an african woman, who used to make shuku or other traditional hairstyles, suddenly starts to fix her hair or wear white people's hair as wig. This is the reason an african man, who previously barbs skin or gorimapa haircut, suddenly starts to grow his hair then braid it, or go for "punk" hairstyle. This is why an african individual with a thick indigenous accent, on reaching white people's country, starts to speak in new accent similar to theirs. The popular saying - "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" seems to come to play in this instance, sir eejo. |

Responses to the OP, while valid, still ignore or overlook the issue of why Africans ‘legitimised’ and sustained the colonial geographical expressions created by their former colonial masters (or some might say their former European slave raiders) in which disparate and completely alien cultures were forcefully lumped together without their consent! You’ve been freed from the shackles of colonialism decades ago, but still insist on sustaining unworkable arrangements! And when a group demand to have their own independence just as you demanded and got independence from Britain, you immediately look for where you kept your gun! How can you ask why Africans don’t love and respect a repressive regime in which the departing colonial gov’ts merely handed over the baton of repression to their selfish, greedy, corrupt and tribalist African elite understudies!? You're still keeping the name handed to you by your former colonial masters, and reverted back to singing the national anthem they wrote for you, yet still get indignant over why black Africans are yet be free from mental slavery and stockholm syndrome! Like i said earlier, the answers given, while true, only address peripheral and marginal issues while avoiding or overlooking the koko of the matter! Nobody who believes Nigeria should be held together forcefully; sees nothing wrong in retaining the moniker 'Nigerian'; and who still sings 'Nigeria we dey hail una' with their full chest, can presume to take the moral high ground and preach to his fellow black African on the virtues of having pride in ones culture and race! |
