RIVERS ASSEMBLY PICKS HOLE IN GOV FUBARA'S CLAIM, CLEARS THE AIR ON THE SEEMING MISUNDERSTANDING

The Rivers State House of Assembly, on Thursday, held a press conference wherein it debunked the false narrative being bandied about that the Governor has not met with the members of the House since the lifting of the emergency rule because the political leader of the State, who is the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike has not called for a meeting between the Governor and the House Members.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule made the debunk while addressing the media to correct the wrong narrative, and to straighten what he called the bare-faced lies spewed by Gov. Siminialayi Fubara in his recent outing.

The Speaker referenced the speech of the Governor where he alluded that his inability to meet with the Members of the House was predicated on the refusal of the FCT Minister to call for such a meeting.

Rt. Hon. Amaewhule stated that shortly after the termination of the emergency rule in the State, there was a meeting between some principal officers and the Governor including some stakeholders. He went further to say that about three of such meetings have been facilitated by Minister Wike but Gov. Fubara has refused to implement any of the resolutions reached in all the meetings.

The Speaker wondered how many meetings would be enough for the Governor to act responsibly; adding that the Governor's outburst during a project commissioning on Wednesday was condemnable and urged the governor to grow up as a leader.

Rt. Hon Amaewhule advised the Governor to be more mature in dealing with the resources of the State, stressing that his tantrums against Minister Wike will not help him in any way.

The Speaker reiterated the commitment of the House irrespective of party affiliation to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Signed

At this point, I believe this speaker guy is going beyond his borders. There's nothing he can use against Fubara now because as it's stands, Fubara - as a governor now in APC is the political leader of the speaker. Except the speaker wants to decamp again.

The speaker should keep quiet and govern instead of these political gimmicks he's throwing around.

The speaker should now know that with the governor defection , he's now the political leader of the state and the president would prefer to work with him than the fct minister.
if i were him, i would look at my back because the governor can get him out.

I really do love how everyone are decamping to APC
Let the madness continue grin

Rivers house of assembly members are just in pain because the governor refuses to feed their pockets grin

Finally, they are both in APC now and if Fubara seek to go for 2nd term, they have no options than to work for him (APC) unless they plan decamping again

This back-and-forth between the Governor and the Assembly is really disheartening; it feels like the people's needs are getting lost in this political tug-of-war.
It's high time these leaders focused less on public feuds and more on finding a genuine path to peace and progress for Rivers State.

Fubara is now understanding the game. Their plans are failing. If they like, they should go back to PDP, Fubara too will decamp back to PDP to remain their and their master's POLITICAL AND STATE GOVERNANCE LEADER.

grin

Part two of the series...

These people want to remove Fubara by force..

The are definitely not happy with the fact that Fubara doesn't have to go through Wike to see Tinubu any longer...

It's not even up to 6months that they resumed work from the state of emergency.

Now another war is brewing again huh

Why do they dislike this Fubara with passion ?
Re: Speaker Amaewhule To Gov Fubara: Be Mature, Stop Throwing Tantrums At Wike by hatchy: 9:05am On Dec 12, 2025
I already said it in previous thread that they will continue the fight, however, this time they will fight themselves since they're won't be the Odilis, Austin Oparas, Celestine Omehias and the rest to bring to the fight.

Nyesom Wike is power drunk and a confusionist who surrounds himself with his likes.
It's unfortunate that Rivers people allow a man like Wike to hold the State like his personal belongings, made worse by the docile governor who betray his people just to retain his position.

Please let no Yoruba Muslim quote me when I'm talking about my State. Talk about yours and how your governor should provide portable water and toilets to your citizens.

Fubara seems to have outsmarted his boss, now he also have direct access to the president and from what we know, the president dey like people like him

Wike might have shot himself in the foot, he needs the PDP more than PDP needs him this time but he's still doing gragra, his body will soon tell him sha
