A former President of Nigeria, the late Umaru Yar'Adua of Katsina State is ALSO ORIGINALLY of Tuareg origin from the Northern Niger Republic and Northern Mali region.

Do more reading on the Agalawa people (Tuareg settlers of Kano and Katsina) in books or online to know who they are.
