princeabdul:Bosun Tijani? Suegbe? That's a top 5 performing Minister in this government. That you call Bosun a "suegbe" is proof you're not active in and follow what happens in that space. Maybe I am biased towards him because he's the only Minister who has so far kept his head low to do his job, interacts with regulars on X to give updates and answer questions, and is always respectful while being innovative. He lied this time, we agree. Bosun can sure trace all those calls and messages but if his principal Tinubu isn't willing enough to act and our CDS, COAS, and Ministers of Defence are always fingered to be sympathetic to terrorists, I don't think there's really anything Bosun can do. And he sure wouldn't throw his colleagues under the bus when the world is watching. But has Bosun performed in his role as Minister? Blueraydick, he has. |

donjazzet:Nihilist seems to be the demon you can't exorcise, very powerful he haunts you night and day. You see him practically in any thing that clashes with your beliefs, he's always in the shadows plotting, creating alternate monikers just to mock you and get under your skin. He enjoys tormenting you by playing hide and seek with different monikers and watching you try to unmask those monikers. It's very accurate to say he lives rent free in your subconscious, a place you’ve turned into his comfort zone simply by the attention you keep feeding it. Ironically, starving him of that attention might make him disappear but your ability to see him in the shadows is just too strong. To an outside observer like me, it’s a fascinating, almost tragic spectacle to behold every time. |

Zimbabwe has introduced new rules that force foreign-owned businesses in certain sectors to give up most of their ownership to local citizens within three years. From December 2025, affected businesses must hand over 75% control to Zimbabweans by 2028 or shut down or leave the country. The law mainly affects small, everyday businesses such as salons, bakeries, transport services, retail shops, and artisanal mining, which are now reserved for locals. Large foreign investors can still operate if they invest large amounts of money and employ over 100 Zimbabweans. While sectors like banking and large-scale mining remain open, the government says the move is meant to empower ordinary Zimbabweans—though critics fear it could drive investors away. #DWAfrica

If this talk of "envy" is not nipped in the bud immediately, it will become an agenda on its own. Let it be stated firmly that NOBODY is jealous or envious of people going broad. We are rightfully calling out the stupidity and wickedness in having terrible opinions about our very own realities which you are away from and by default unable to feel. Only he who wears the shoes know where it pinches. You cannot be away from Nigeria and support the people who are causing them harm. That is terrible! |

The rumors concerning Eto might actually be true. He named a new Cameroon Coach last week while the sport ministry is still backing the former coach and they are ones with the authority to sack a coach not the Fa. Eto and his new coach dropped a squad list without Onana and Aboubakar while the sport ministry and the old coach dropped another squad list with them included. Who will back down now ![]() https://www.besoccer.com/new/cameroon-fa-and-coach-name-different-squads-as-eto-o-faces-criticism-1385519

GrammarNazi1:Why didn't they stay back and 'suffer' and make that same comfortable life you're asking those in Nigeria to work for? The very reason they left in the first place is because they didn't want to suffer in Nigeria. You're smart. Aren't you? |

9 Spy360:There are well to do people in this country! Aren't there? There are well to do people who built businesses here in Nigeria. There are even employees who have lucrative side businesses in Nigeria. Some of them had a headstart because they studied a very lucrative course in university. Some of them, after studying what Ibime would not endorse, had to pivot to a lucrative field. I know someone who studied Philosophy in the University of Benin, but before even gaining admission, he had known about computer programming/software development and had started learning it. This is someone who finished secondary school in 2007, and had even started learning software development before he left secondary school. Sometimes I think about how he got to know about software development before 2007 when information was extremely scarce then. Now, he would always say he needs to know algorithms if he would be able to work in very big organisations (This is growth and realism, not wishful thinking). This is someone who hates everything Nigeria more than you do, because he hates Tinubu, he hates Atiku, he hates Obi, all of them. This person I'm talking about has been doing remote jobs since more than 3 years now, and he is doing extremely okay. Change your mindset, Spy. Lastly, a lot of people are doing extremely okay in Nigeria. Many of them had to do two times or even three times the effort you put in. |

GrammarNazi1:So you think we are failures simply because we try to point out the ills of bad governance in Nigeria? So you have concluded that people who are working hard to be comfortable in Nigeria have to shut up when they aren't getting the dividends of the tax they pay like their counterparts abroad? Why can't you just have some compassion and allow those who are in the fire voice out their pain rather than gaslighting them with your acclaimed success abroad. If all of us escape the country as you all did, may be there wouldn't be anyone left for you to boast about and you would have all day to share any stinky opinions you have without any opposition. It's interesting for you to think that calling out bad governance is a sign of not doing well in Nigeria. That's the mindset I don't want to have. |

🔸Living in Nigeria does not give anyone the monopoly of truth. 🔸Being outside Nigeria does not erase concern or connection. 🔸Living abroad does not disqualify anyone from commenting on the issues facing Nigerians and Nigeria. 🔸Distance no be ignorance. Sometimes it gives clarity and enables people to assess situations better. Person no gats dey inside fire to know say the house dey burn. 🔸Many people abroad still send money home, pay rent, pay school fees, support relatives and feel every policy failure/success through their loved ones. 🔸Even in Nigeria, there are people who support/oppose the current government. 🔸The NL abroadians that support this government do so due to reasons best known to them. 🔸Whether Nigeria-based or Abroadian, support or oppose who you want and stop throwing around labels. Geographical location does not confer superiority of opinion. I rest my fingers. |

semid4lyfe:there is a simple analogy whenever there is major road construction in lagos it is a nightmare. traffic jams, traffic robberies, accidents etc. but when the project is completed, you have a good road and a journey that was 2 hours has been reduced to 45 minutes. but i prefer to be out of town or away from that area for the duration of the project. i know it will yield benefits to all in the long run, but it is difficult to endure while it is going on. as an abrodian it is easier to celebrate hard reforms because you will not experience the teething period directly and when they start to yield benefits is when you are ready to invest |
