I saw a post about it on tiktok last week and yesterday I went to airtel office to pay for it.

I learnt it is Airtel 5g internet service that charges 25k per month for unlimited data at 50mps ( You can pay for higher speed depending on Ur needs Sha). Na wetin I de use

I'm expecting their engineers to come with the device and install today Sha. The initial payment is 25k which means the device is free and subsequent sub is 25k monthly.

Personally I feel 25k for unlimited data for a month is not considering I can connect the TV, my phone and my wife's phone as well as my computer system anytime I have reasons to work at home.

I've always been team MTN, but I just Wan try this airtel adventure to see where it leads Sha.

If this talk of "envy" is not nipped in the bud immediately, it will become an agenda on its own.

Let it be stated firmly that NOBODY is jealous or envious of people going broad. We are rightfully calling out the stupidity and wickedness in having terrible opinions about our very own realities which you are away from and by default unable to feel. This is because even though European countries are better than African ones, those Nairaland members abroad went through fire abroad before living comfortable lives.

Many of them pivoted to lucrative careers, and they had to take courses. They had to SUFFER abroad in order to be comfortable.

Some pivoted to tech, and spent hours, day and night, to learn. They wanted to give up, but they didn't.

Some of them pivoted to health abroad, and they suffered real hard before becoming comfortable. They took double shifts and their health suffered for it; some of them have become hypertensive which they are managing now. Someone them even died through double shifts, but those who survived always count themselves lucky even in their comfortable lives. Some of them developed diabetes which they are managing now. You think they just got abroad today and tomorrow they have been able to buy Range Rover without health shattering sacrifices and a number of compromises?

You in Nigeria, what have you done to better your life? Everyday complaints on Nairaland.

Some of them had a headstart because they studied a very lucrative course in university.

Some of them, after studying what Ibime would not endorse, had to pivot to a lucrative field.

I know someone who studied Philosophy in the University of Benin, but before even gaining admission, he had known about computer programming/software development and had started learning it. This is someone who finished secondary school in 2007, and had even started learning software development before he left secondary school.

Sometimes I think about how he got to know about software development before 2007 when information was extremely scarce then.

Now, he would always say he needs to know algorithms if he would be able to work in very big organisations (This is growth and realism, not wishful thinking). This is someone who hates everything Nigeria more than you do, because he hates Tinubu, he hates Atiku, he hates Obi, all of them.

This person I'm talking about has been doing remote jobs since more than 3 years now, and he is doing extremely okay.

Change your mindset, Spy.

Lastly, a lot of people are doing extremely okay in Nigeria. Many of them had to do two times or even three times the effort you put in.
