Streetinvestor2:You are still living in delusion. To u now SW is the reason why u have economic retrogression in your region? At least 3 Non-SW person have been presidents in Nigeria since 1999. What did they do to better your lot, including Goodluck Jonathan who is your kindred? Until you start holding the Governors, Senators, Rep members, HOH members, Ministers and LG chairmen in your region accountable for billions of dollars of fund allocated to your region, u will continue to wail till Nnamdi Azikwe will join u in his grave. You guys hate to take responsibilities for your failure, always pointing fingers at other people. Until then continue your wailing....... |

Pls tell me how they can stop the monopoly of lagos which igbos are servicing to keep SW region alive. That is the only reason ur region wants SW president so more monopoly can be shifted to lagos for your economic gains .Tell us the reason u want SW president if not for the interest of u region only. You want us to believe it is for the interest of nigeria |

Obviouslyblunt:If he leaves the coalition. I will mobilise and work against him. We don't have time to waste like go to court again. The judiciary and inec that belongs to SW president and his people. We need strong coalition to defend who ever we vote. This is his anger with Keneth in last election. We can't be gentle in 2027 election because people we are dealing with are only betting on rigging |

Gadaffi9ja:Your statement is correct regarding the North. Your problem with the South is that they are still confused about who you say you are. We're not sure that you know the answer to the question of your identity. You need to clarify that for yourselves and take a definitive stance. |

Streetinvestor2:this is just it. Elections in this country isn’t won by polling and hoping on God they won’t steal your winnings. Obi needs to become a vice under Atiku, allow him lead for his 8years then you can become president. Even Tinubu left Buhari to rule first from their Coalition before his turn. Obi has seen that doing it alone doesn’t guarantee that you’ll win. They shouldn’t split their vote again. |

It is highly likely that PBAT will win reelection. Atiku and Obi have very limited chances because the political dynamics have shifted significantly since the 2023 elections. In 2023, Peter Obi received unusually high support in parts of the North, especially in the Christian‑dominated Middle Belt. He won Plateau, Nasarawa, and the FCT, and also secured large vote totals in Kaduna and Benue. Much of this support came from Christian voters who rejected the Muslim‑Muslim ticket, believing it might lead to discrimination. That concern is unlikely to shape the next election. Many voters now point to the PBAT administration’s record, which they view as balanced toward both Christian and Muslim communities in terms of appointments and project distribution. For example, the more than 300,000 votes Obi received in Kaduna in 2023—largely from Southern Kaduna—are unlikely to remain with him in 2027. PBAT has strengthened his support in that region by establishing a federal university in Southern Kaduna and appointing Chrsitopher Musa from the area as CDS, later elevating him to Minister of Defence. These developments suggest that those votes may shift toward PBAT in the next election. |

Streetinvestor2:I agree with u on some of the things u said. SW want Tinubu bcs of region interest, same way the North want Atiku bcs of Norths interest. But the igbos will pretend they only prefer Obi for Nigerias interest and not for Biafra interest. That's the hypocrisy. For your information, SW will continue to develop irrespective of who is the president or any suppressive agenda from any quarter. The development will be driven by the quality people in the region. It is about quality people not opportunities. The North has ruled this country more than any other region but yet the most backward. The igbos were the one who filled Jonathan's regime despite the opportunity they couldn't think of SE interest but their personal interest. It takes Buhari to build the second Niger bridge and other development. That's the difference in the case of SW, they have quality people. Igbo can become Nigeria president tomorrow and after 8 years, no meaningful development taking to the region other than container economics and self billionaire aggrandizement. It happened with Jonathan, after 6 years he could not achieve anything he was put there in the first place to achieve for his people: No road, no oil clean up and environmental remedy, no infrastructure, no reform to place his region at advantage position. Tinubu is already doing all that for the southern region which is true federalism. It is in top gear already. Igbos are only gasslighting him bcs they just want to be president unlike u are denying in your write up. Tinubu is the only southerner who can wrestle control from these northerners who are killing Nigeria. Peter Obi has no spine and u guys know the truth but igbo emilokan must happen at the expense of anything and I understand. SW is not your enemy but the Northerners and your representatives who have been collecting fund on your behalf without any meaningful impact. |

Streetinvestor2:I believe we both represent the same fundamental interest in Nigerian politics: the health and progress of Nigeria as a political entity. With that in mind, I invite you to examine the raw data from the 2023 general election as released by Mahmood Yakubu’s INEC. In Adamawa State, the home state of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, he secured 417,611 votes, while Peter Obi received 105,648 votes. Conversely, in Anambra State, Peter Obi’s home state, he won 584,621 votes, while Atiku Abubakar received just 9,036 votes. In political science, such stark numerical disparities, both positive and negative, are strong indicators of candidate acceptance and perceived political strength within specific constituencies. That said, none of these figures should be regarded as immutable. As we all witnessed, the conduct and outcomes of the election by an obviously compromised INEC have rendered rigorous scientific introspection difficult, if not futile. Still, the vote difference between Obi and Abubakar stands at 882,987 votes, representing 29.07% versus 25.40% of the total votes cast nationwide, a 3.67% difference. This context becomes clearer when we consider the prevailing narrative before the election: virtually no one gave Peter Obi a realistic chance of winning even a local government, except perhaps in areas where he is an indigene. He was contesting a presidential election for the first time, while Alhaji Abubakar, a former two-term Vice President, was already a seasoned veteran of the process. Further evidence of Obi’s competitiveness can be found in other states. In Benue State, Obi polled 308,372 votes against Tinubu’s 310,468, a margin of just 2,096 votes, well within any reasonable margin of error. In Taraba State, Obi scored 146,315 votes against Tinubu’s 135,617, a margin of 11,152 votes in Obi’s favor. Notwithstanding the so-called “Wike factor” in Rivers State, Peter Obi won that state hands down. Peter Obi won Lagos and posted unexpectedly strong numbers across the Middle Belt. He convincingly won Plateau, Nasarawa, and the FCT, and clearly outperformed Rabiu Kwankwaso, a core Northern politician, in key northeastern states such as Gombe, Adamawa, and Borno. Kwankwaso, notably, failed to make any meaningful showing in Kaduna, despite assurances from the sitting governor that Peter Obi would not receive even 200 votes there; regardless, he ended up polling 294,494, or 21.65% of the total votes cast in the state. The core of my submission, while fully acknowledging your point about the difficulty of defending votes in a compromised system, is that, pound for pound, and based on the available (even if obviously diminished) data, Peter Obi remains the strongest candidate the ADC can and should present in the coming election. Mr. Obi has rightly demonstrated an unwillingness to compromise his convictions. This was even more evident during his tenure in Anambra State as governor, a state where a sitting governor, Governor Chris Ngige, was kidnapped and held hostage by criminal elements. It would be both incorrect and self-defeating to pressure such a man to abandon his principles to accommodate an entitled candidate whose political value has significantly declined, merely for the appearance of conciliation or political expediency. There is no doubt that Alhaji Abubakar, like Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, commands significant political and ethnic influence in the North West and North East. That being said, the strategic moment has arrived to deploy that strength in partnership with a southern candidate who can not only disrupt and unsettle Tinubu’s illusory and ad hoc southern base but also convincingly win the Middle Belt. Atiku must now read the room and come to terms with the fact that it is still the turn of the south to preside in Abuja, an arrangement most southerners will rebel against if disrupted. In my books, there are a good number of credible Northerners who can pair with a credible Southern candidate, including Mallam El-Rufai. In the spirit of the unwritten agreement, Mr. Peter Obi publicly averred that he is committed to serving only one term. Having regard to his antecedents, I believe him. |

stuffs2002:Who be this ? When i said Obi will clear lagos ahead of the 2023 election and most of you who wrere not even resident in lagos were giving me unprintable names, saying tinubu was the one who single handedly developed here and Lagos was in the bag for him...did it not happen, despite the delay in the release of our state's results during which there was massive rigging?I'm not a sentimentalist. I say things based on the facts on ground. Can you even mention a single achievement of tinubu so far? It will even be hard for him this time as people now know he has nothing to offer. I reiterate, if atiku would eat his humble pie and support obi at the primaries, or the pdp allows him to run under their party and they give him the support he needs at the primaries with elrufai being his running mate, he will beat tinubu before 4pm on the election day. All those governors and law makers defecting into the apc are doing so for selfish gains. They have just one vote. The masses are on the majority side. You can't even give out money anymore thinking they'd vote you. People are wiser now. It happened here in lagos in 2023 but never worked. They brought bales of 1k notes to my ward and we sent them back. He won't even get 20% in the entire iboland this time and you already know why. Don't ask me. My neighbour in my lekki office always foams as his brother's house on which he got a C of O to build under fashola but pulled down in this administration and tinubu looked the other way as if he wasnt aware. They all have family in the village who are waiting for 2027 to pay him back Just very recently, Gbadero, the agbado-oke odo LCDA under alimosho pulled down shops and business offices under the national grid, from Alagbado bus stop,up to command area and reallocated it by selling it 60m an acre with about 15 years tenor, throwing people into lack and poverty is still a hot topic. The property under the national grid belongs to the FG, not state and no living thing is expected to live underneath sef. But because people must survive, they decided to occupy it. Alimosho, my LG didn't vote him in 2023 despite being the largest LGA in Nigeria by population and of the LGA with the highest concentration of yorubas in Nigeria. We dont vote based on sentiments. Sanwoolu had also done a bad job for tinubu here already by not executing a single project here. Every road is littered with garbage. All these odds will be against him at alimosho. Aregbe is our leader, in case you've forgotten. I won't say more than that. |

He already knows that the Northwest is against him especially the Fulani. All he needs there is 25% which he can get while he locks the South and nothing central. It is a pity that Peter Obi will still cintest( he didn't know he has lost the steam. He can not get the block vote he got front he South East like the last time. Tinubu will surely get the required 25% front he East). |
| Re: 2027: Tinubu Targets South, North-Central For Bloc Votes by Eriokanmi: 6:10pm On Dec 14, 2025 |
famouscargo4u:You said he will get 25% votes in the north east knowing they're mainly fulani....who will give him pls...the non fulanis in those states? What of the north west? Where in the middle belt will he win in 2027? 25% is only sure for him there. You also said he will also lock the south, where(except a few states in the SW)? He cant get 20% in any S/E state. The lagos wrongful revenge mission on ibos and the recent development are topical issues among them back home. His followers thought it was ibos who caused his defeat meanwhile its us. Come to alimosho and interview people. Same will happen in 2027. Like is said earlier, if Obi can run under the PDP or the ADC, with elrufai his running mate. He will beat tinubu. Leave those defecting governors, it won't change anything. Im one of those who supported obi in 2023 with my might and main without expecting anything in return than a better Nigeria, nothing can change my mind and I'm speaking on behalf of my colleagues too cos we look beyond monetary gains. |

This is a reason why a region is called chameleon region .You are hear shouting gej as our president. When we now say we have alot in common with SS.Your people will want to commit suicide. It is guaranteed SW president will never see more than 10k votes in SE because we have no reason on earth to consider him |

Streetinvestor2:You will pick a Northerner instead of a SW bcs of jelousy and hatred. Tell me what all the Northerners who have ruled nigeria have done for your region that Tinubu has not surpassed it in less than 2 years? You guys supported PDP for 20 years with nothing to show. It is SW that is your problem, eleribu dede Over 17 presidents have ruled Nigeria for the past 65 years nobody make any meaningful impact in your region including your own Nnamdi Azikwe, Jonathan and Aguiyin Ironsi. It is Tinubu who is barely 2 years in office who is stiffening development of SE abi?. What kind of evil victim mentality is this biko? Dem curse u people with victim mentality ni? |

lailo:Why don't u tell me what SE has ever benefited from SW during the war and after it till date..If I say since Tinubu it will make me look like a joke. His government does not even exist to us in SE.He is only president for yoruba which all region knows it We have been the one servicing SW economy via lagos .Your envy after selling the idea of 20 pounds since after the war is every whr. That is why u have been destroying igbo properties in lagos since 2023.The SE has no business being in same country with your region. We have always been better with north. For free I don't want anything in your region. I want them to move most federal things in lagos to center Abuja so that my people will vacate that region. We have more population of igbos in the North and that is why I am happy we are in the coalition with north. Your SW president won't see 10k vote this time in SE.I am a full Kaduna igbo guy |
