Evening house it just came to my notice that donsheddy has once anchored FTA thread (FTA 2024), as a result of that donsheddy has to be disqualified. There is now a new rule which stipulates that anyone who has anchored FTA thread in past shouldn't be allowed to do so for the second time. This is to ensure that everyone here who is an active member of FTA, equally gets a chance to anchor FTA thread. With this new development, I am left with no choice but to also disqualify Alexas58 who is still the ongoing POTUS for FTA 2025. In that light, this leaves Dhman as the only standing candidate as there are no other nominated candidate apart for him. Hence, if all is in favor of crowning Dmahn as the FTA 2026 president, pls hit like, if you are against this hit share

Woow, we need to review such rule, this thread is gradually dieing even the people that set the rule are no longer active on the thread, I learnt so much on this thread and I will hate to deny people coming the chance also , we must try everything possible to keep the thread alive , we need to give people that are active the gift of hosting it regardless of how many times they've done it, my 2cent

Just an opinion dou, no beef to people hosting or sharing withdrawals, I'm always happy to see people's withdrawal certificates

Exactly Boss mi, he almost single handedly keep the forum going this year 2025 when it seems the engagement is very low.

Not really about organizing contest only but at least visibly engaged to keep it going. It just about the energy he has put into it. Every other member are equally entitle to lead but it just that he somewhat standout and really committed to steer the affair of FTA once more. But if anyone still show interest let there be an election then.

I agree with you baami and right from the onset I have always maintained my support for Alexas58 both here and on telegram but due to the fact that I also don't want the situation to turn into another crisis, I decided to go with the flow. But I honestly can't deny the fact that Alexas58 has been active all along on NL and he is deserving of a second term. If the house will permit me as this is a democratic and not an authoritarian regime, I will like to pith this election to be between alexas58 and dmahn.

I don't mind hosting for 2026, but I will willing step back for Alexas58 because he has done well so far this year and I don't mind him having a second term in office. But for posterity sake lemme declare my intention for running for office in 2027 now. I'll use 2026 to prepare and build myself against 2027

Before you call it dumb, I didn't create this rule and this was brought to my attention on the telegram platform, and when it was brought up some people supported it and I didn't see any objections from any other folks and even you didn't object to it. So calling it dumb and ascribing it to being like Nigerian politics isn't the right step to take. You could have aired your own opinion and maybe even other folks who reasoned with you would have come out to support you. So please I'm begging everyone of us here to be guided, this isn't an issue that should result into conflict. When my predecessor and even I as the current inec chairman called for nominations, there was very poor turn up. A lot of folks refused to participate and purposely ignored the nomination, when some folks where nominated, they willing turn it down. I personally don't have an issue retaining Alexas58 as the current president but I cannot be selfish as not everybody here wants him to anchor next year thread. Do you expect me to take matters into my own hands without trying to take everyone along?
