One Country that have Six countries as its Boundaries. And want to disconnect with France.
Mankind2024:
Why Captain Ibrahim Traoré Is Playing with Fire by Detaining Nigerian Soldiers
Many people underestimate the capabilities of the Nigerian military and what it could mean for the government of Burkina Faso under Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Don't be misled by Nigeria's ongoing internal security challenges—fighting Fulani herdsmen clashes, kidnappers, bandits, and jihadist insurgents in the North, or separatist agitation in the East involving IPOB and unknown gunmen. These are asymmetric insurgencies, complicated by local sympathies and complex socio-political dynamics that make total eradication difficult without massive collateral impact. No advanced military in the world easily wins such protracted internal wars.

In stark contrast, a direct confrontation with Burkina Faso would be conventional (symmetric) warfare. The Nigerian Armed Forces—Africa's largest by personnel, with superior airpower, logistics, and combat experience—have the overwhelming potential to overrun Burkina Faso's smaller military and, if provoked far enough, enforce regime change in Ouagadougou.

Dismiss any notion that Russia's support for Traoré would deter this. Nigeria could establish theater commands in neighboring countries like Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, and Togo for a multi-front operation, leveraging regional alliances and superior resources.

This detention risks escalating a diplomatic incident into something far more dangerous. Traoré's supporters—often vocal online pan-Africanists and certain political factions—may cheer the bravado now, but they would have plenty to lament if things spiral out of control.

Rubbish. It was crew that posted the fake news that the soldiers and plane were released which turned out to be a lie.
Why has the country not tried to engage with the Burks?

What were they doing in an obscure location in other country, flying with clearance.

It's a shame some colonialists want to use Nigeria to cause instability in the region.

A colonialist country that is facing economic meltdown back home, whose farmers are throwing faeces on the roads in protest to bad governance.

Nothing good will come out of Nigeria's partnership with France, it's former colonies never did well .

Billions borrowed nothing to show for it 2025 budget less than 30 percent implemented as at this December, Nigeria to be lending to other countries next year, yet still borrowing.

The consequences of bad leadership and partnership will show from next year.

It's all about value extraction our minerals and resources are used to resuscitate a dying colony, at what cost to us: our independence , growth and development.

Take your preaching to the bandits in power called politicians.

Calling out the Nigerian government does not equate to praying that the country collapses.

It is hypocrisy to criticize Nigerians for not standing with you when you deliberately flew into a sovereign country and are now grandstanding. It is hypocrisy to criticize Nigerians when the bandits in power refuse to put sufficient effort to fight the bandits in the country until called out by foreign countries.

You haven't once criticized the government in all your posts. By your implication, all the problems of this country are caused by unpatriotic elements.

Again take your preaching to the corrupt leaders of which Tinubu is their leader and stop disturbing the peace of unborn children out of your personal pain.
Nobody said criticizing government equals wishing Nigeria dead. That lie is yours, not mine. Criticism is fine; rooting for chaos and foreign embarrassment isn’t patriotism, no matter how you package it.
You’re obsessed with Tinubu
I’m talking about Nigeria. Two things can be true: politicians can be corrupt and citizens can be reckless with hate. That nuance seems to upset you.
As for the unborn children you’re suddenly defending, spare me the selective morality. People who constantly pray for the country to fail don’t get to wear the patriot badge
Nigeria will outlive Tinubu but it won’t survive citizens who confuse bitterness with activism.

This is one reason Nigeria isn't moving forward. We have people like this who want Africa to be forever slaves because they get a pretty penny to keep their people down. Nigeria is a puppet nation with no spine or balls. Our leaders only know how to dance to songs of the west. If you think you are so hot, fly to Burkina Faso and go and claim he is playing with fire.

Politicians can be corrupt? Lol. You can't even say Nigerian politicians are corrupt.

Most Nigerians just rant on social media without taking up arms or carrying out sabotaging acts. That tells you that they still have hope. If someone truly hates Nigeria then all arsenal would be deployed towards destroying her.

So again, save your hate chant because i cannot comprehend how someone who can curse unborn children that had no part in the so called crime can claim to be free of hate.

If Burkinafaso can have military alliance with Russia, what stops Nigeria with bigger resources from getting a stronger military alliance from two or more powerful countries?
Here we are talking about military fire power and alliances.
Nigeria is not an enemy if Russia and also has ample support from.west the power block Traore is fighting. May it not happen. He will regret it.

Togo is already under the control and auspices of the AES and by implication more loyal to the AES than ECOWAS.

But yeah, your points are valid and it pains me so much that a tiny country like Burkina Faso is holding us by the balls at the moment.

We can’t do much than to handle it diplomatically not because of our Air Craft which we will get back or burn that country to ashes if they don’t release it, but they have our men which they can kill if we don’t thread with caution. I mean, a ruthless and heartless leader like Obasanjo would have used them as collateral damage and go ahead with an escalation but we are in a fully democratic dispensation, so a lot of tact and diplomacy will have to be employed.

Cursing unborn innocent is children is the bane of my beef with you.

Cursing them while accusing others of hate is what i cannot wrap my head around.

Others in this thread towed the same: "You guys are unpatriotic" line without resulting to reeling out curses on unborn children.

These curses can only come from a place of agonising pain fueled by deep-seated hatred.

Look in the mirror to find the change you seek.

Nigeria checkmated Burkina Faso and Niger's ambitions to use the Benin Republic as a new AES member, allowing both countries to transport their goods and oil through Benin's efficient port facilities. Nigeria is now indirectly opposed to the AES countries' ambition and has allied with France.

Togo doesn't border Niger and B Faso. Had Benin fallen to AES, the Cotonou port would have been used to put economic pressure on Nigeria, thereby supporting AES's interests against France's.

For folks like me who have an advanced knowledge of global geopolitical dynamics and counter-terrorism, I have the following strong warnings.

The diplomatic options MUST still be pursued for the NEXT seven to fourteen days and swift diplomatic contacts MUST made with the Russian Government which is partly active in the faltering terror war in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger Republic. There's been a lot of fake news from highly IRRESPONSIBLE random YouTubers, bloggers and those affiliated to non-state actors making inciting comments against the Nigerian State over the issue of the Hercules C-130 forced landing in Burkina Faso. The DSS and other intelligence agencies MUST immediately disrupt and take down these people for pushing out deliberately fabricated disinformation online.

However if Nigeria decides to forcibly rescue the Air Force men and the C-130, it could lead to some unintended consequences because Nigeria would have to get bogged down or directly involved in fighting the JNIM jihadi group which is the dominant Jihadi group in the West African Sahel and JNIM massively bombed the Burkinabe capital city in 2024 in a terror attack showing how much inroads they have made. This young military guy called Traore of Burkina Faso and the 2 military dictators in Mali and Niger Republic are already overwhelmed and instead of asking for help apart from the Russians they have refused to do much due to pride!

As we speak, MORE than 50 percent of the total land mass of Burkina Faso is under the control of JNIM, the notorious Tuareg-led Malian jihadi terror gang affiliated to Al-Qaeda. If the young dictator in Burkina Faso is affected by an invasion of that country, Nigerian forces would have to provide ground security for the protection of Burkina Faso and the JNIM jihadi group would have a greater advantage to take over more territories. The JNIM has ALSO taken over more than half of Mali and Niger Republic under it's control ever since the Russians got involved in those 3 countries meaning that the terror situation is even far WORSE than before the same Russians got involved.

Burkina Faso can take over northern Nigeria in a matter of 3 to 5 years. The people of northern Nigeria already see the burkinabè as their blood brothers.

Now if you want Nigeria to be divided then go into a war with aes. The core north will no longer be part of Nigeria.
