It's not so cool for a country to have a one party state. Other parties make the race interesting and they also create a check and balance for the ruling party. But it all depends on various ideologies that exist in the country. nairalandankrah: |

President Tinubu has removed some ministers in his administration. If the President gives portfolios to ministers, he expect them to execute them. If they underperform, he would relieve them of their duties. The reasons you may be citing, could be centred around security, electricity which are major concerns - but the reason a President might not fire the heads of these ministries or agencies is if the problems are understandably beyond the ministers control. If the President doesn't arm them with enough resources, they won't be able to deliver and the President would probably understands. In many cases, some ministers are required to raise funds for some projects - if their efforts reflect a good score on their score cards, the President cannot fire them - they don't necessarily need to score 90% on the score cards to impress the President when they've passed the cut off mark of 70%. The President would only encourage them to do better and not fire them for scaling past the cut off mark. If the resources are there and the ministers don't utilize them, then the President has the liberty to terminate their appointments. The President sees the work put in by his cabinet members - many citizens cannot see them. The Presidency understandly aims for likely 70% on score cards; the citizens want to see unrealistic 100% on score cards. Brendaniel: |

kayjordan:And Tinubu has has failed below 10 percent, Tinubu has failed seriously, if you call Tinubu's performance 70% do you pray to score that type of 70% rating even if you aim for 70%? |
| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 6:33pm On Dec 13, 2025 |
Nobody prays for a median score but a much better score. President Tinubu's performance is affected by existing realities on ground. The 70% is a score tag I'm assuming in his administration - the real score could be higher. President Tinubu is working and his cabinet members are working as well. If the citizens are not happy with the score card at citizen level, then the citizens are free to elect someone else they feel will beat the benchmark. Just note, it's still the same citizens that are considered faultless that will vote for an ideal candidate. And also not, some compromising civil servants in collaboration with the faultless citizens will still compromise the election's outcome as people often suspect. Brendaniel: |

My location rarely matters in this context. On the contrary, I enjoy this conversation. It gives me the opportunity to understand Nigerians and how they feel. From what I've seen in Nigeria, all Presidents that have ruled Nigeria have never been spoken well of. The same in USA, UK, Europe, Africa and other parts of the world. I know a man who said to us during a conversation we had with him, that he doesn't want any political post because he doesn't want people to point dirty fingers at him. Only the President and his team can truly defend their government. I can only analyse patterns, behaviours, culture, people, resources, interests and many other variables that create people's actions, people's decisions and social changes. Brendaniel: |

I cannot tell you for a fact that Tinubu has failed as a President. His Government is a work in progress just as the other President's. The next President will continue the work in progress like a chain-of-command. One President alone cannot build a country in one tenure. It's a continuous process that gives past Presidents and future Presidents to come landmark legacies - so that, in the future, the people will say "these are the people that built this Nation" rather one person building a nation. | Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 7:29am On Dec 14, 2025 |
The unconventional truth remains, - Tinubu's government is working and not destroying. The hardship Nigerians feel is caused by a transfer of taxes unto the people which the government was bearing on Nigerians behalf for a long time. Some Nigerians have been heard quoting "Production is better than Consumption". In Nigerian reality, the people actually want CONSUMPTION over PRODUCTION. The question you would likely ask is what are we producing at the moment? - to start a business, you need time to save money for it - or preferably, get a loan for it. Nigeria is seeking partnerships with countries to build it's economy - that way it can grow it's production capacity. It's not easy to get customers and clients for small, medium businesses - so it is for the government - the government is struggling to get in investors so that Nigerians will be able to "consume". | Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 9:41am On Dec 14, 2025 |
It's logical and realistic. If people expect a problem of decades to be solved in one sitting, then it imaginative and unrealistic. If people put the horse before the cart (teaching people how to fish, instead of taking fish) - then it's logical and execution will determine if it will be realistic. The government is complex and alot of things need to be understudied to know why the government makes the decisions it makes. Indeed, a hungry belly cannot think straight nor think of a logical idea why the government does what it does - such person will only be eroded with emotions which is what is happening to Nigerians today. "He who wears the cap, know where it hurts" - Nigerians have made that kmown to the government - and the government too knows where their cap hurts. I understand the reality you think I'm far from. I know Nigerians are struggling. And i also know the government as an engine is struggling - maybe not the leaders that are running it because they continuously earn salaries and benefits. The open letter to Tinubu shows my "balanced ideology". It concludes both the government and the people need to be check mated. In all my points made to you - I have repeatedly mentioned citizens as a factor of government and civil servants as well. You can't have a good government with bad citizens and see progress; you can't also have good citizens with a bad government and see progress. So - I still conclude logically, that the government is working with the best resources available to make life okay for the citizens - and the citizens need to cooperate with the government. If the government is not working then all government agencies including local government will be closed. Brendaniel: |

| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 9:04pm On Dec 14, 2025 |
The Citizens are far from reality. I confirmed the APC strategy - how and why people should align with it. It's a party with green pastures at the moment. If anyone thinks they will win on another party's platform given the fact the ruling party has big cash to throw at some citizens to buy them over as always alleged, then one is far from reality if they think another party will make them win. You must acknowledge your country is living in sin and the only way to survive in a sinful world is to be a devil and not an angel - the expectation of your "ideal angel candidate" to rule over demons - if he must - should act like one and join their circle - that's how he will ever win. The government has enemies - and these enemies have outlived all Presidents in government and some are still there now. A new President can't flush them out without ruining his own chance in government and also ruining the chance to help the people he wants to serve - a President will have to be diplomatic in handling such situation. Some Presidents will want to flush out all enemies of government - but they may run out of gas as the current government structure is severly overwhelmed by enemies. These are the factors one must consider. I recommended a flush out in my open letter - but people in the comment section told me my ideas won't work. I concurred and I recommended alternatives. I was semi-realistic that it will take 4 years - I further recommended another 4 years if plan A fails with another strategy. But guess what? - even if the current President does flush out bad eggs in government in 8 years and he leaves - in the next administration after him, these bad eggs may likely spring up again. So the government is fighting many enemies - within and externally i.e - (the general public). The upper echelon in government (Presidents, Governors) mean well for the country (not all) - they are not saints but they have ideas - the subordinates under them don't make their ideas flourish. So it's inaccurate to judge all top-most leaders along with their subordinates - when the subordinates in "most cases", are the ones giving the top leaders a bad name the top-most leaders didn't earn for themselves. I guess it's difficult to understand me. Let me remind you that in your community, some people will still not appreciate your efforts if you do something for them - even if you are not a government official. If you are a class representative in school, some students will still not appreciate your efforts - even though you are not a government official. The above people may think you are incompetent, greedy or want something in return. >>> A short story I heard: "Tai Solarin, a human rights man, protested against Babanginda, complaining how Nigerians were suffering - so one day, Babanginda asked Solarin to come to his office and asked him why he always criticized him and Solarin replied - "because Nigerians are suffering; they need to be empowered. Then Babanginda set up a federal credit institution (like a Bank of Industry) that would offer loans to Nigerians for businesses and put Solarin as the head of the institution - after a period of time, Solarin confessed that some Nigerians were taking loans and not paying back and after a period of time, the institute collapsed - Babanginda invited Solarin to his office afterwards, and Solarin looked quiet and Babanginda told him - "You see, no matter what you do, you can't impress everybody" - Solarin left Babanginda's office without saying a word and after that moment Solarin never criticized Babanginda's government till he died. >>>>>> Reality is beyond what you hear, what people tell you or what you feel - all these can be wrong. One must always be open and see the other side to make good judgements. I'm not 100% with the government as an institution and I'm not 100% with the people. Even though this makes you think I'm confused - No, I'm simply weighing which of the two is more of a problem. My support for APC is based on facts, not emotions. You can't win an election with a party of "born agains" when there's a ruling party with "street smart people" that align with the street smart citizens (you know Nigerians like short cuts). "To put out fire - you must get into fire" - this defends why people will be advised to join the APC (FIRE) if they ever want to solve a problem (FIRE BURNING) in the country. It's the fastest vehicle you can use this moment. I support restructuring, and I support cleaning the system - but you must acknowledge it is very difficult to clean up the country. It could be dangerous, it could be self-sabotaging or it could be victorious - any of the three. Brendaniel: |

Some Pastor said: "The person that will deliver this country, has not yet been born". I do not know your preferred candidate - but based on some people's subjective thoughts, "No candidate is genuine". Like I mentioned earlier, ideologies are there, but there's sabotage. Many candidates have good dreams, but a bad engine (Government). Many entrepreneurs have good ideas, but bad economy or inaccessibility to funds. President Tinubu has an ideology. What one needs to confirm is if he's upholding it or if it's being hindered. If you replace Presidents one hundred times, you may still see failure in the system because all of them will have to work with an existing faulty engine. One must give credit to candidates that want to operate a faulty engine - they are bold. Brendaniel: |

| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 2:18pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
The amalgamation of Nigeria was to last for 100 years, if I'm correct. You support division because of differing ideologies. Beware, the same division will still occur in these divisions. If a party can have factions - how much a region. Nigeria is stronger and more attractive if kept together than separated. But if you support a regional government or state, then it's your view. The only thing to be advocated for is: - Regions that may wish to separate should conduct their administration only with their geographical territorial borders without extension into Nigeria's territory regardless if regionalists have vested interests or not in Nigeria. I was expecting from you, a nationalist reason why Nigeria isn't working - i assumed you would say " type of policy" or certain decisions the President made - but it's newly clear that this is an agitation. If I may ask - who would you prefer over the current President if you should change your mind on separation? Brendaniel: |

kayjordan:It is easier to solve a family problem than to solve an entire community problem, if you understand that statement then you will understand that it is easier to solve problems with people who share the same ideology than solving it with people with different ideologies.. Nigeria's problems may never be solved as long as it remains a country, division is the best, let those who want to remain in Nigeria continue if they want but I and my people are very ready to leave... There are regions in Nigeria who may never agree with each other no matter what, even the bible says in Amos 3:3 Can two walk together without agreeing where to go? Where the south west wants to go is not where the north wants to go, same with the south east , and once that disagreement is there, that's the result of Nigeria today. Don't waste your time on something that was not meant to be... |
| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 3:24pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
Hmm!! Indeed, it's easier to solve family problems than community problems. Maybe if Nigeria's population is smaller than it is, the problems the country faces would be minimal and manageable. But that's not the point. Nigeria was historically, groups of empires that got regionalised by the British colonial masters for administrative purposes. The constitution protects the territorial borders and sovereignty of the country - so separation is completely illegal. Separation is a complex issue and it would probably require dialogue and a constitution amendment - so in the meantime, while Nigeria cannot separate at least maybe not in this lifetime - which person would you prefer to rule Nigeria while you anticipate regionalism? Brendaniel: |
| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by Brendaniel: 3:48pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
kayjordan:You missed it again, it is not about the population, it is about the difference in regional ideologies, when I use the word family I was not referring to size but family as a group of people who share similar ideology. you don't share the same ideology with me as a Nigerian that's why we are even here arguing with each other, don't you see and we may never agree till this discussion ends but most people from my region will agree with what I am saying and most people from your region will agree with what you are saying, that's what I mean by family... Don't you see you will hardly have issues with people who agree with you... That's why Nigeria needs to divide to countries with people who share similar ideology, there may be issues but it will be lesser and easier to manage because there will be more agreement and understanding... And lastly I am not anticipating regionalism but outright division, and for now I don't have anyone in mind to rule my country when divided, I will prefer the people setup a people's constitution according to our shared ideology and candidates can be picked to rule...or selected to rule accordingly.. |
| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 4:07pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
I got your point. It's not about size but ideology. Do not that your wish or the wishes of the people that share your ideology is trapped by law. That's why I ask - If in this lifetime, separation doesn't happen - and you happen to still be a Nigerian, who would you prefer to rule Nigeria now or in the future - or what ideologies do you expect the current President to adopt to rule the nation the way you feel he should - or which candidate do you think holds your set of ideologies? kayjordan:In the last election, I wanted Peter Obi but the outcome of the last election and Tinubu's governance made me give up on the unity of Nigeria not because Peter Obi lost but the fact that it made me realise that the regions in Nigeria do no share the same ideology and don't want a common goal and once a people don't have a common goal there is no need staying together, it is like a marriage... For a marriage to work, both parties should have a common goal if not there may always be conflict and conflict of interest, that's the case of Nigeria, so for now I'm non interested in any election nor the outcome, I'm working towards the division of Nigeria... And I pray for the grace of God to guide, protect, provide and see me through to achieve it... |
| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 4:49pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
That's quite a confident statement made by you about your division dream. It's good that you clarified that Peter Obi was your ideal candidate. I have a firmer understanding of your arguments. The facts I want to list here is: 1. Family problems you mentioned still means differing ideologies internally. 2. Division will lead to disasters like war, economic instability for both parties. 3. Creation of sanctions that will paralyze separating regions. 4. International countries may align with a stronger country than a weaker/newly formed country. 5. Creation of refugee camps across countries may occur due to instability. And the list is long. This is why Elders of certain tribes advocate unity and a working relationship with the Federal government because they have seen things in pasts. Brendaniel: |

| Re: Mass Defections To Apc Signals Great Health by kayjordan(op): 5:40pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
War may happen if Nigeria doesn't agree to separatist's demand and if separatists forge ahead with the idea. If family ideologies are easier to manage as you say - then one would have to see that happen in real life. But what I just want to make clear for the meantime is: separatists should suspend separation ideas and see how they can manage the Nigerian situation. If they can't tolerate the situation, they are free to leave Nigeria and live in any part of the world as it's legal. Separation may complicate matters more except if lawmakers consolidate to make legal changes which may be very difficult to achieve with a country with differing ideologies from separatist's.
