iamoyindamola:For now, na our MCM. Lol. They should goan watch how teammates pick out Osimhen in Galatasaray and how he in return pressing like say he be Senior brother to Rice in Lungs Family. I even preferred Osimhen to Gyokores. Many will rem i kept repeating the we must buy one Victor during the Transfer window. A man city friend of mine that watched our game cos he wanted us to lose said this same issue. A Chelsea padi said same too. Rivals o. If Gyokores was some 10goals a season guy now, we for even mellow. But last season this was europe's best 9 o. Whatever side anyone wants to stay on, na dem sha sabi. Because we're top doesn't mean we can't call out consistent problems. |

iamoyindamola:See ehn. The sleekness of the 2022 season no dey again. That thing muzz me. We'll be fine sha. These fixtures of last season that cause breakfast.... Our next 6 fixtures. What are we going to do different? We need early shot and early goals. This goalless 1st half is exasperating.

iamoyindamola:I don't think it's Heinze, there was a time it was the attack so it's sectorial... I think the training regiment should be adjusted cos Hamstrings, Knee injuries are mostly as a result of massive load on the players.... |

daveP:Please let's make it clear that I have no issues at all with Gyokeres performance. That's because I expected it. Even Arteta did, when he warned him of not losing his head if he doesn't score for many games. Those that are feeling bad about Gyokeres are those who attacked Havertz for the same reasons. Just that in attacking Havertz they roped themselves by demanding for a striker that scores goals without realising that any one going to play CF for Arsenal will not be prolific because of the demands of that role. So I am here to stop any agenda from those fans to blame other players for his lack of goals. Imagine that nonsense. |

Spy360:I get you but difference dey. The Kai comparison no gel. Kai was fed so bad yet the net didn't shake. Sotey his teammates noticed a dip in confidence and had to help open the floodgates with a pk(Odegaard took the ball from Saka and gave Kai). That's what helped that year. Prior to coming, he's not even a prolific forward compared to Gyo last season before arriving(compare their last season at previous clubs be crossing over) What made the Kai own was the chances were created and he was wasting many. Many. No mincing words. Despite this, coach still found a way to always play him. He's not even doing same with Gyokores right now. Diff dey seh!! 😅😂😂 From LW to middle to CF to False 9 to Merino role, he kept switching him every game cos he wanted him to click so bad. Can't forget that. He isn't a trad 9 or top 9 so the way analysis will go will definitely be different. Pep still changed his system to accommodate Haaland o. This is Arteta's Master o. And see how he's always with 45% of total goals and that doesn't diminish his team cos if Haaland is unavailable, they'll just switch fast to the other style. Goals still spread wella. Even Rodri once said that Haaland made lots of things easy for City. He can score and they'll play the Pep way after and fluidity still exist even if opponents score(major difference between city and arsenal) |

daveP:You see you write up here is everything I don't like about how we analyse things as fans. You gathered all the biases and sentiments into one post. You're comparing Havertz and Gyokeres but instead of looking at their output you're pointing at everything you can hold to exonerate Gyokeres while pointing at everything that doesn't matter to vilify Havertz. This isn't about Havertz Vs Gyokeres, it's YOU and your CONSCIENCE You feel emotionally disappointed and you are trying to prove your way out. My brother free yourself with humility and simply say you were wrong about Havertz. It won't harm you. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 4:36am On Dec 16, 2025 |
Everything you want to vilify Havertz for, Gyokeres has also been guilty. Gyokeres has missed chances, he was also given a penalty to boost confidence. Even Arteta has started him ahead of better performing players. Arteta defended him in his last press conference. Yet we want to blame everyone and everything just to prove we were right about having a traditional striker in the team. What you have not realised is that it comes with the role and not the player. I have been on this thread defending Gabriel Jesus, Havertz and now Gyokeres for the very same role and reasons. I wish Jodera was here to confirm. I have used heat maps to show that the CF is too busy to have enough composure to be prolific in front of goal. Now that we have tested all kinds of players and the results are the same, can't we just be humble enough to admit that we were wrong? |

Spy360:Spy, thanks for the therapist assessment, but no thanks. But like that season, last season and this current one, i maintain my stance about Kai. Don't play this childish game with me snd try to make it be like it's because one is feeling guilty. That's preposterous and hilarious 😂 Guilty? Ontop Kai? Aspa he be Auba or Lacazette? Abeg abeg abeggg. Wrong about a real 9 vs a false 9?! How convenient for you to go down this route. |

🗣️Rio Ferdinand on how #Arsenal man Viktor Gyökeres can improve: “There are two or three things I look at with Gyökeres that he needs to understand. His movement… I think they had 30 crosses in, the second-most they’ve had, and I’m watching him when the ball is wide. “I’m not saying he’s got terrible movement. I’m just saying you need to understand who is on the ball. Depending on who is on the ball, you move differently. “If Martin Ødegaard’s on the ball, he’s going to move differently to when Saka’s on the ball and vice versa, but I just don’t think there’s that telepathy yet. There’s not that understanding there, that I’ve got to move here when Saka’s there. Whether that’s about communicating and talking outside the pitch or just doing those reps on the training ground… “One of the big things that I saw, as a defender, he’s allowing defenders to get their hands on him. Now, in Portugal, he was stronger and quicker than almost every centre-half. Even if the defender had his hands against him, he was shrugging people off and just slapping it in the back of the net. “He ain’t doing that in the Premier League. Centre-halves are as big as him and as strong as him at times and he’s enabling them to get their hands on him and then he can’t move, he’s locked down.” #COYG #AFC #Arsenal #arsenalfanaticsnews |
