Plus they identified themselves as law enforcement and the guy knew they were law enforcement.

That's quite true but later identified themselves with their ID cards. I think they used as they often do, used unmarked vehicle cos of being easily noticed. You know that if this Bamgboye guy had seen their vehicle labelled ICE or something, he wouldn't even dare come to his house. He would have reroute immediately. So many Nigerians in that situation right now, I have some friends in the US. They don't stay in one place in a day, they also pay for guides to help them in monitoring ICE before they go to work, even at work, they still pay monitoring guys to be on alert just Incase.....everywhere they go, monitoring guys always go with them to survey locations and sadly, they pay these guys from their hustling.

I know many people in Lagos that have "kidnapped" Lastma officials who have tried to impound their vehicle by forcing themselves in and then dropped them somewhere far away.

The guy's real crime was overstaying his visa and resisting arrest. Not kidnapping. After all they still took the officer to the police station.
