50 Cent Surges On Spotify Charts After Diddy Documentary Release by Great100000(op): 6:41am On Dec 16, 2025
Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson got a big boost on this week’s Spotify streaming chart after his anticipated documentary on rival Sean “Diddy” Combs’ career and criminal conviction debuted on Netflix.

• Jackson was the biggest gainer on this week’s Spotify U.S. artists chart, which reflects streaming activity from Dec. 5 to Dec. 11, rising 54 spots from No. 199 to No. 145.

• Combs is not on the chart, which ranks the top 200 most-streamed artists in the United States over the past week.

• Jackson also rose on the weekly global artists chart, jumping 26 spots from No. 136 to No. 110.

• On the most recent Spotify daily charts, Jackson is even higher: On Dec. 11, he was the 119th most-streamed artist in the U.S. and the 83rd most-streamed artist globally.

• Jackson’s rising placements on the Spotify streaming charts come after his docuseries on Combs hit Netflix on Dec. 2, which has been a streaming hit and topped Netflix’s series charts.

How Successful Has 50 Cent’s Diddy Documentary Been?

“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” made a big debut on Netflix, logging nearly 22 million total minutes viewed in its first six days of release. The docuseries was the most-watched show in the United States for the week of Dec. 1 to Dec. 7, and it was the second-most viewed show globally over that same period, only behind the new “Stranger Things” season.

What Were The Big Revelations In 50 Cent’s Diddy Docuseries?

Jackson’s documentary includes previously unseen footage that Combs himself had commissioned amid his arrest and trial, which has provoked legal threats from Combs’ team, who say the footage was illegally obtained. In footage captured just before Combs’ arrest in September 2024, he is depicted speaking with his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, telling him: “We have to find somebody that'll work with us, whether they’re from this country or from another country. It can be somebody that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business of media and propaganda,” stating he is “taking eight nuclear bombs straight to the head” and “losing.” After former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard sued Combs for sexual assault that same month, Combs is seen talking to his team, telling them to find “any Dawn Richard interview where she speaks positively about her relationship with Diddy” while slamming the barrage of civil suits filed against him as “f—ing dozens of liars.” The documentary also includes interviews with two jurors from Combs’ criminal trial, which ended in convictions on two prostitution charges and acquittals on three more serious counts, leading to a 50-month prison sentence. One juror acknowledged Combs was violent toward his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, citing surveillance footage of Combs attacking her in a hotel, but said “domestic violence wasn’t one of the charges.” Another juror said he was “confused” because the jury would be presented evidence of Combs being violent toward Ventura, but “the next minute, they’re going on dinners and trips.”

What Has Diddy Said About The Documentary?

Combs sent a cease-and-desist letter to Netflix, stating he “will not hesitate” to take legal action. His spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told Forbes the use of footage Combs commissioned is “fundamentally unfair, and illegal,” adding it was originally intended for a documentary Combs wanted to make about his life. Netflix, in response, said the footage was “legally obtained” and claimed the documentary is “not a hit piece.”

That is the one big problem with the Black Americans, always working against each other. They're always killing each other, bringing each other down.

The White supremacist will set them up and use them to bring themselves down through drugs, guns, alcohol, sex and other social vices.
All the successful Black Americans have almost been pulled down one way or the other, something you'll hardly see the whites do to each other.

The prison is highly populated by Blacks, followed by Hispanic race. They kill the ones they couldn't take to jail through drug overdose, and wreck the businesses of the ones they couldn't send to jail, kill through drugs via civil lawsuits that pay out millions in settlement.

Shameful.

lolz, do you know there is evidence that can jail the man for life? It's a miracle that they gave him few years because human trafficking and force prostitution earned him life in jail. You can never understand, just ask him to release the sextape of this foreign world power artist both gay, bisexual, lesbian etc then you will know the end is near. They gave him few years in jail because of this leverages but you are too blind to see. Diddy is a Devil himself.
