A celebrated party globetrotter, holder of multiple party visas and frequent-flyer miles, is reportedly packing his bags once again and is not going to the so-called "one party". Yet, the nation the nation is slidding toward a single-party express lane, luggage and all. Politics, dear sir, is a game of chess, not a roadside quarrel. If you can’t play the board, kindly return to your spare-parts empire, count your bolts and nuts in peace, and stop wailing like the referee stole your whistle. |

If people like Babangida Aliyu, Sule Lamido, Saminu Turaki, Ibrahim Shakarau and Bukola Saraki are still in a faction of the PDP, in less than a year to the presidential election, then Atiku didn't do his homework very well, before moving to ADC. In 2012, all big politicians in Nigeria were already in APC and the heat and momentum were already being felt. Here we are in December 2025, we don't know who and who is in ADC, the only strategy they have is how to use the North to defeat the South. Meanwhile, they can't boastfully say they they have the North in the bag, because some Northern politicians may never support Atiku. |

If APC sees a good candidate in PDP and they want to join the ruling party, why not? |

One party state is not possible in a country with active social media and civil society organisations. The noise makers will keep making noise. God bless Nigeria for ever! |

lapintoz:Babaginda Aliyu, who tried and failed to stop Tinubu from winning the presidency; supported another Fulani man, Atiku to become the president, after 2 tenures and 8yrs of Buhari, is now crying about Nigeria becoming a One Party State. Firstly, there is nothing bad about One Party State if it would serve Nigeria better. China, India, Russia and many of the developing nations are benefitting from consistency in ONE political party administration. Secondly, the single and most important reason that our politics seem to be concerning, right now, is because of the reckless ambition of one man named, Atiku. As soon as Atiku is permanently retired from running for presidency in 2027, our political environment will become more robust. But I must add: there should be ONLY 3 ideological-based political parties, namely: conservative, liberal and the center-of the 2. No amount of cries will stop PBAT from winning 2nd term. God Willing! |

Perhaps you people should write President Bola Tinubu to come and assist in rebuilding your party. Isn’t it annoying to see old men who’d been in politics for nearly their entire life crying like babies like this? That is how another fool was calling president Trump to come and rescue opposition parties the other time. As if they even care about the country! |

Turaki argued that prevailing socio-economic challenges in the country have vindicated the PDP’s record in office, describing the period between 1999 and 2015 as a “golden era” marked by economic liberalisation, institutional strengthening and national cohesion. Golden era indeed with many political killings, which none has been resolved till date, Chief Bola Ige: The Minister of Justice and Attorney General was murdered in December 2001. Dr. Harry Marshall: The national vice chairman of the opposition All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) for the South-South Zone was killed on March 5, 2003. Funsho Williams and Ayo Daramola: Both were PDP gubernatorial aspirants in Lagos and Ekiti States, respectively, killed in July and August 2006 within three weeks of each other. Alfred Dikibo and Andrew Agom: Other prominent political figures who fell victim to assassins. Odi Massacre (1999): The town of Odi in Bayelsa State was invaded on presidential orders, leading to the deaths of an estimated 2,500 people. Zaki Biam Massacre (2001): Hundreds of people were killed in Zaki Biam, Benue State. Jos Inter-Communal Clashes: Plateau State experienced recurring deadly clashes with significant death tolls, including events in 2001 (500-1,000 deaths), 2004 (at least 975 deaths in Yelwa-Shendam), 2008 (381 deaths), and 2010 (992 deaths). Boko Haram Insurgency: The rise of Boko Haram saw thousands of people killed during the PDP years (1999–2015), with estimates of over 10,000 deaths. Nigeria experienced highest oil boom during PDP regime with crude selling for over $110 yet they later resulted to borrowing to pay workers salary

Democracy go comot, because no strong opposition to check government, National Assembly go turn to "yes man" crew, and INEC no go get power conduct better election. Corruption and chop chop go increase pass because nobody dey to ask questions. People from different regions and tribes wey no dey inside the ruling party go feel say dem don suffer, and anger fit make youths turn to violence or even secession. Foreign investors go run, economy go crase, and Nigeria for outside world go look like country wey don lose im democracy. Na straight road to autocracy, suffering, and wahala for everybody. |

The chief servant himself, 1 of Niger state. I greet you sir. Sir, as an elder stateman thank you for lending your voice to this dangerous absurdity but it's quite sad, Nigerians don't learn and have short memories of their oppressors. They are in love with the Chians that binds them Please, sir enjoy your retirement and groom your leaders around you with integrity and purpose so tomorrow may be brighter that the fog the nation is covered in presently. |

Look at what he says here...that clearly shows he's part of the pdp division .... turaki was never elected by the pdp,...the convention was never legit due to court stopping it.... Before dat he'll need the former chairman and secretary signature for valid handover....but see the nonsense the vomit from he mouth...... clearly another kind of snake disguising in human form 👇 Aliyu also congratulated the newly elected PDP National Working Committee, declaring the full confidence and support of former governors in the revitalised leadership of the party under its National Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN). “The PDP is not dead; it is evolving,” he declared. “We are pleased to note that under the stewardship of Tanimu Turaki, the NWC is effectively repositioning the party. “His leadership has brought a renewed sense of purpose, discipline, and reconciliation that is critical for our resurgence.” |

How can a party that has consistently lost elections for the past two years claim to be vibrant? PDP is in a coma, and they should just admit it. How can they also complain about one-party state when they are in the same game with LP? |
