This story is so funny, one sided and not helping your case of men being oppressed by western laws. She had the son for 5 weekdays which involves preparing the son for school, waking up early to prepare meals, washing, ironing etc plus she might also be working as well and he has the weekend Saturday and Sundays but somehow he thinks he is doing more because he occasionally buys clothes cheesy

Alakija delivered a massive state of the art medical facility in Osun. Kudos. If Naija billionaires dey invest like dis, we for don go far.
I hope our poor maintenance culture doesn't drag that facility to the ground. Hopefully it's private and government does not get their leprous and kleptomania fingers on it

Stop over exaggerating. You don't get kicked out of your house and denied access to your kids without a reason. Most of the men don't even fight for custody of their children in the first place and the woman don't just get the house without giving up something and it's mostly for the kids to continue schooling and living in the same house without disrupting their lives. That's another media nonsense purported . Just a search on Reddit on normal people who went through divorce will set you straight. Stop using the case of one useless celebrity with 10 baby mamas or Simmons that's currently hiding in Bali running away from rape and sexual allegations to draw conclusions.
Lool. What is blud waffling about? Anyway I don't blame you. Your naivete is glaring

Why does a man have to fight for access to his own children? Are you hearing yourself at all. After covering legal costs of divorce he should also spend money to fight for custody while still paying for child support after winning shared custody. Does this make sense to you

Pray you don't jam agbako cos all this your Simpin talk will not save you from a ruthless broad that views you as a sperm donor and safety net. I strongly doubt you're in a country that puts men through the blender else you will not be this aloof

There's a reason fewer and fewer successful or even moderately successful dudes in the West even consider anything legal marriage

The funny thing about this stuff is that Western men don't complain about these laws, rather they defend them when others talk about the absurdity of those laws, it's as if they've all been simpified.

Ironically, it’s mostly African men and other immigrants in the West that question the logic behind those laws.

China recently addressed this exact issue by passing a law that prevents asset splitting by half after divorce.
So basically, the whole world sees the problem, except the people being played by it.
There's some advantages to these laws no doubt but there's also been an overcorrection. The incentive to break up the family based on these laws is higher than to stay together

We literally have no-fault divorce (she can wake up and say she no do again via no fault of yours)

I think people are complaining now though. With their feet. Millennials and zoomers have checked out on both sides. From the women who don't wanna be wives to the men that believe it's a bad deal in general

I support child support, but only where the man actually supported keeping the pregnancy.
You cannot insist on “my body, my choice,” shut a man out of that decision entirely, and then turn around to impose responsibility on him after the child is born. Choice cannot be selective.

I also support alimony, but in very specific circumstances. If a woman was gainfully employed and her husband pressured her to quit her job to focus on marriage or raising children, she absolutely deserves compensation if the marriage collapses. That sacrifice has value..
Beyond that scenario, I do not support alimony. Anything else is entitlement dressed up as justice.

You are twisting narrative on his head and showing your ignorance. No court will deny a man access to his kids if he's not abusive or problematic. Fighting for primary custody means the child stays with you for majority of the time and you won't need to pay child support. Majority of men don't fight for primary custody and they just allow the women to keep the kids majority of the time which is why you hear the media rubbish of the man was kicked out of his house. Men who fight for primary custody usually wins more than 70% of the time.

A stay at home wife would also be working and earning money on her own if she was not married and bundled with taking care of the family so why does she not deserve alimony in a break up?

Did she have a career before marriage? Why are you even asking this when I already addressed it in the very post you quoted?

If a woman had an established career and was asked by her husband to give it up for marriage or childcare, then compensation is justified. That's real sacrifice that deserves half of the assets and alimony.

However, if she had no career to begin with, or if she chose to quit on her own without any pressure from the husband.... I believe you know the answer.

Propaganda has become the standard operating procedure under APC. To avoid constant disappointment, it’s safer to assume the opposite of whatever the federal government, its ministries, or agencies put out.

At this point, only those still clinging to forced patriotism and blind optimism continue to be shocked by the failures of Nigerian institutions.

Lol, Our Nland Elizabeth Caddy, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

There's more where this is coming from with different experience. You feel like I'm in a gender war banter with you and also supporting running from responsibilities.

I'm letting you know that I ain't alone in maa belief, as you're making it seem. If it was just about taking care of one's offspring, there wouldn't be this much complaint, but the way it's handled now is where the issue stems from. "Absent parent" is where ladies do their INECish stuff.

And hey, I like women, just not the Blessing CEO/Saida BOJ's esque ones. cool

I need some advice.

A vendor supplied some lab equipment to my lab. When he equipment came in, I asked him to confirm what's on the list with what's on ground which we did. We didn't test the equipment.

Later on trying to use them equipment, I observed that two of them were faulty. I called him and he is telling me stories about how we 'confirmed' them in my presence.

What can I do please? I am pissed off already.

You fvcked up by not testing them
Another option is was any documents signed to confirm confirm the equipments were received in good condition if no turn it to gidigbo

He was supposed to come back for testing. He didn't. So I decided to test myself and discovered the issues.

I called him to tell him about the faults, asked him to come and he is refusing

No such documents. We only confirmed what's on the invoice and what he supplied.

I am not even going to ask him to replace, I wanted him to come and see if he can fix the issues himself.
