I'm surprised too. I've read the report he's claiming to be an indictment against efcc chairman but I didn't see any.

@Fergie, this is really interesting. However, I am minded to query the basis for which the ex-AGF (Malami) is requesting for recusal of the EFCC:s chair at this time.

I believe that the EFCC chair will not be adjudicating over the matter and the EFCC can only bring past evidences (if they have any) of corruption to try the ex-AGF.

I believe that Malami should be requesting for a speedy trial, if he believes that his hands are clean. I dare say that it is not within his power to determine who investigates him or not.

I didn't even read your post before I submitted mine. You have just echoed my thoughts. Investigative officers are not judges, so why is he requesting for recusal. Additionally, his press release does not even disclose any personal issue with the EFCC chair to warrant his purported fears. At this rate, he may likely request for the recusal of employees of EFCC who were in the system during the Ayo Salami's probe.

I have asked this question severally. I think he should focus on defending himself

Recusal is not only for judges.
Malami can get a perpetual injunction against EFCC investigation if the EFCC does not recuse itself in this case.
EFCC is already tainted with anything concerning Malami and this case.
Prosecuting Malami in this case will also mean prosecuting the EFCC, so the EFCC should recuse itself and hand over the case to ICPC or the Police, if not Malami has a very strong case for perpetual injunction against the EFCC and will judge shop for a Judge to grant the injunction. This is Nigeria.
I hope you know what a perpetual injunction is.

The efcc chairman served in a commission to investigate people. HE WAS NOT BEING INVESTIGATED.

His name started appearing in corruption allegations as early as around 2015 when MTN had a case with NCC or FIRS, I can't remember the agency.
Year after year, his name kept popping up. I suspect that if EFCC invites Magu for info, he would have one or two things to say about Malaimi. The speed with which Magu was removed as EFCC chairman then was very suspicious at that time.

Only God knows why Buhari trusted the guy that much.

I searched for a clear indictment or arraignment and couldnt find one on Malami

In a way what Emefiele and co tried to do is " wickedness ". Tinubu owned the party and they all tried to side track him in his own party. At least Tinubu left AC to form another party. He never tried to hijack the party when he was governor he simply formed a New Party. I'm not a Tinubu fan but can understand his going after people.
