After some months of loss of my android phone and been scammed.
I paid back my debt... To all the loan apps. So they stopped calling me

When u pay back ur debt...even God is aware that u have freed yourself from great burden.

Easemonie and okash They have increased my loan from 300k i initially borrowed to well over 750k under the space of 3 months. I am not paying a dime, this is wickedness and slavery at the same time. They kept on increasing the loan everyday under the disguise of overdue charges.

na why people no dey pay back their loan be that,
I borrowed 24k, before payment date I had a serious illness that almost took my life, Dem still de call me say na the sickness go kill me if I no pay lol,
After recovering, open the app to go pay them cos the calls don too much , lo and behold over 54k is what I was asked to pay,

I say after all the insults I wan pay even if na 30k make I pay, una come de bring over 54k as overdue charges, ok we go see who will loose, and I deleted the app,

God bless you my bro, i thought it was only me that was facing the same situation ooo, if this is not wickedness i wonder what else to call it. With the current situation of this country, who in his or her right sense will be paying outrageous amounts of money in the name of late payment.

Those guys are very wicked.....
If you eventually skip one day, they will be very happy to increase the rate to high heaven and be disturbing your phone non-stop.
Going against the CBN' directive on interest rate and you'll notice they don't include extension date option on their app just for the sole purpose of inflating high rate if you eventually skip a day.

Yes, i am not paying a dime it is not a criminal offence. These loan apps do not Do not follow CBN and FCCPC policies, they add daily overdue interest, contrary to the CBN-approved 1% monthly penalty rate. How can a loan of 300k become more than 800k in under 3 months and you are asking me to pay.

Make they come arrest me shebi they know my house address and bvn. I was even begging them to reduce the loan so that i can pay they refused and saying nonsense.

I borrowed 4,500 Naira just a week of overdue any money that enter my account they will deduct it. They took over 30k from me before I went to my bank and my bank block my card. How wish I knew that it was through my card details they use in deducting my money I would have blocked the card early. Very wicked set of animals. Xcash loan app E no go better for una.

Inasmuch as their interest rate looks outrageous, I believe you read their terms and conditions before taking the loan and the returns of late payment was clearly stated. So, accept responsibility and make efforts to clear your debts.

The reason why you're having difficulty in repaying the loan is because you clearly had no means of paying back the loan

You are not getting the point here. It is not because I don't have the means of paying back, the unrealistic overdue charges is preventing me from doing so. It is not a crime to default on payment, but me having to pay 4x the actual amount i borrowed is not going to work.

Read my initial comment. I'm not in support of outrageous interest, but you should've noted their terms and conditions before taking. Except it wasn't obviously stated on the app and they just inflated the amount over the days only then will the fault be entirely theirs.

If the percentage of interest they offer is higher than CBN mandated interest(as the person you are arguing with is saying) then the loan apps are committing a crime and every Nigerian should borrow and refuse to pay back because the loan apps were the first to violate the law by going above that mandatory interest.
