We’ve exceeded non oil and tax receipts revenue for sure but the picture of the overall revenue leaves a lot to be desired. The budget is never realistic in the first place which is the root cause. You can’t expect dollar to come down to 750 or 800 from 1200 within 12 months, that’s just an outright irresponsible projection. |

Guestmale:Gaslighting at it's finest. Sane Nigerians know the real enemies of the country. They are the ones who brought ant-infested firewood into the house. Now the whole country is ravaged by all kinds of reptiles. Due to their selfish interests and primordial sentiments, they cheered the destruction of the country |

Tinubu is an expert when it comes to politicking but, a very shady and unreliable administrator. Credibility is the hallmark of true leadership and, once lost, can never be regained. The contradiction between what he told the nation and what his Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, is now telling the nation are a reflection of his untrustworthiness. Once lying becomes the trademark of a leader, such a leader is most unlikely to inspire confidence in the people that he leads. Fidelity is a bond and must be kept with all sense of responsibility. Tinubu: stop being a lying, lair, Lai Mohammed! @hotseat |

treesun:We know na. It is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind. Salaries and pensions are not being paid on time. Their army of contractors are being owed left, right and centre. In Abuja there is a scattering of unfinished and abandoned looking projects. It is a structural problem. A failure to invest FIRST in income generating enterprises which after two years will have started to to return resources to government. They depended heavily on borrowings but that is becoming too expensive and on taxes and elevated tariffs which are counterproductive as consumption has tanked. Even the projections from the 2026 tax net are bound to fall short of expectations simply because the cow that is not fed well cannot produce much milk. Spend wisely oh yeah profligate Federal government. Invest, invest, invest rather than waste, waste, waste. |
