⚡The Trump Administration has begun asking American-based oil companies, including but not limited to Exxon, ConocoPhillips, Halliburton and Weatherford, if they would be interested in returning operations to Venezuela once President Nicolás Maduro has been removed from power, and so far, the answer is a hard, "no", three people familiar with the discussions told POLITICO.

LordAdam16:Lula of Brazil has warned that if the MERCOSUR agricultural trade agreement isn't ratified by the Europeans, he would not sign any trade deal with the Europeans. Meanwhile, European farmers, especially in France, who lamented increased food imports, are angry that cheaper food will be imported into the continent. The Brazilian just as the Argentines, Uruguayans, Peruvians, etc., are unfazed because they have China to consume their agricultural produce. Argentina exports soymeal to China, and Brazil supplies more than 50% of China's soybean consumption. Then, there are fruits and other agricultural produce from neighbouring South American countries. South Africans are now turning towards China since the US has become bellicose. The rise of China has been a force for the greater good of the world. |

Scorpio99:Okay why are Russian bared from European sports? It not just wealthy Russians that are being targeted you know? Even if they don't support the doings of the Russian government. People justify the violence against Israelis saying most of them have served in the IDF. But then I'll concede because Ambramovich is considered a friend of Putin. I still consider it wrong though. |

Scorpio99:it's a reasonable choice by me to remain silent for awhile. How's pokrovsk? It's also worth noting that I restrained myself from cyberbullying you after your ignorantly arrogance stance on how Russia will "never capture pokrovsk". I do not engage in verbal pugilism with those whose minds are a mausoleum of unchallenged ignorance." —Masterviolence |

Masterviolence:You talk too much. Useless grammar with no reasonable achievement or credence to back up your unchallenged arrogance and wanton ignorance. For correction sake, it wasn't just your choice to remain silent, don't play that card here. Everyone remembers how you were busy shit posting on the thread when you grabbed some fake news about some imaginary fab bombs dropping in Ukraine. You had no choice but to crawl into oblivion out of sheim when your do called prediction didn't see light of the day. Have a wonderful day, and I hope you will be here with us January 6 when my post of about Pokrovsk not falling reaches a year old. Till then, have some fun and don't forget to take your daily dosage of hypertension medications. |

Lawag3:On the first point of why Russians are barred from European sports, I have to concede with you on that. It shouldn't be. But this is a war and Russia's espionage activities is not new to those European countries. So, I think they are doing it on suspicion of espionage. |

Statement of Venezuela's FANB & Defense Minister The Bolivarian National Armed Forces categorically reject the delusional statements issued yesterday, Tuesday, December 16th, in which they insolently threaten our nation with armed actions and order a supposed total naval blockade to confiscate ships transporting Venezuelan oil. This act constitutes a blatant act of piracy. The accusations made are fanciful and incoherent, as they absurdly claim that we have stolen oil, land, and other assets, which is completely false and exposes the implausible narrative of the fight against narcoterrorism. Furthermore, it reveals the perverse intentions planned since the beginning of the warmongering escalation in the middle of this year, which, as repeatedly stated by Nicolás Maduro Moros, Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, are none other than to force a regime change in our country and blatantly seize its oil and other strategic natural resources. It's all about oil. This constitutes a revival of the Monroe Doctrine, which establishes the neocolonial domination of the hemisphere by the United States. Furthermore, these claims flagrantly violate the Charter of the United Nations regarding respect for the sovereignty of states and the peaceful resolution of disputes, the laws of international trade, the Geneva Conventions, the Convention on the High Seas, and other laws of international law, even exceeding the bounds of gunboat diplomacy. They also contravene precepts established in our Constitution, which obligates all Venezuelans, and especially the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, to fully defend their sacred interests and national territory. Consequently, this constitutes a clear act of aggression, and we denounce it as such before the entire world, whose multilateral organizations must reflect on and act against this warmongering, insane attitude that jeopardizes not only Venezuela, but the entire Latin American and Caribbean region and global energy stability. Never before in our country's history has a U.S. president threatened us so vehemently. Therefore, today, as we commemorate the 195th anniversary of the Liberator Simón Bolívar's passing into eternity, we tell the U.S. government and its president that we are not intimidated by their crude and arrogant threats. Bolívar himself, and many other heroes of American emancipation, taught us how to fight and defeat powerful empires, and the dignity of this nation is not negotiable nor will it be subdued by absolutely anyone. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces, strictly adhering to the orders issued by our Commander-in-Chief, with unwavering composure, without succumbing to provocations, alongside the Venezuelan people and in perfect popular-military-police unity, will preserve at all costs the current constitutional and democratic system, as well as the country's territorial integrity, its legitimate rights over its airspace and maritime areas, and will irrevocably defend its freedom, sovereignty, independence, and peace. "Fortunately, we have often seen a handful of free men defeat powerful empires." - Simón Bolívar
