What If the presiding officer decide to change the result and upload anothrt sheet entirely.

Why can't we vote by finger print electronically for those that are not disable? And let finger print rule out who had vote before and remove any print not found in data base
full electronic voting systems without paper trail is too risky for manipulation. the system we currently operate plus if it includes mandatory electronic transmission and eletronic collatiion would be the better option. because both the paper and electronic version could be used to check for manipulations... The point is to mandate eletronic collation also.

How would glitch issues be resolved?Mr.Glitch Yakubu Mahmood must taught the present INRC chairman some games and gimmicks.

Charity begins at home. Ayes and Nays should be abolished in the house.

Beautiful on paper, audio on implementation. We’ve moved from 'IReV is working' to 'Glitch from the pit of hell.' They can pass 100 laws, but as long as the person pressing the 'upload' button answers to a Godfather, we are just playing Ludo. Five years jail term for presiding officers? Please, find us one person currently in Kirikiri for the 2023 magic first. Until then, this is just a legislative rehearsal for the next circus."

An individual cannot write the results and still signed on the behalf of all the party agents in the polling unit. Her name appeared on all the signatures, that's election malpractice. It's no less than your allegation against the other party. Political sentiments shouldn't becloud ones reasoning.

Effort in futility. Will APC allow INEC transmit election result in real time if it's not favouring them without glitches again like they did in 2023 to rub Peter Obi his victory. I don't believe in Nigeria anymore. I have a new country now.

Was that law not in the Electoral Act of 2022?
Yet Mahmood Yakubu set it aside and did his dirty job for his APC.
Now, Nigeria's masses suffer the crime of one person.

SlavaUkraini:
Una go Amend Taya....

APC will influence presiding officers to stop the Electronic transmission of results if they notice the results is not going their way

Such a Wucked party...
Exactly the way APC did in 2023 when Mahmood Yakubu observed that the Labour Party was leading and by far in the presidential election.

. The President will not assent to the bill because the SC judgment making such a proposal unacceptable has never been vacated.
The SC held that there could be power instability and electronic crisis during the transmission. So manual results on EC8 are still sacrosant.
Re: Reps Amend Electoral Act, Approve Mandatory Electronic Transmission Of Results by johannu(m): 12:32pm On Dec 18, 2025
Which transmission of results are they talking about? Uploading of pictures or figures in readable format? Uploading pictures alone is rubbish. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
Re: Reps Amend Electoral Act, Approve Mandatory Electronic Transmission Of Results by Raregem9000(m): 12:37pm On Dec 18, 2025
What will happen if it wasn't transmitted in real time? Will the election at the affected area be counted as void? These are what should be spelt out correctly.

I'm not an APC fan and would never be but you are one of the useless youth Buhari was talking about.

How many times have you seen this bill passed by the house before?

If this is true then "we" are happy no need for that paper scribblings seen in Anambra in 2023 general election where a candidate scored 500k from 315k accredited voters cards and was happily smilling and calling other candidate a rigger.

We go show una shege by 2027, we dey wait.

As much as i applaud the steps taken by the senate to ensure mandatory electronic voting, the real issue of the independence of electoral officers esp the INEC chairman still remains unattended to!

As long as the president who belongs to a party and contesting in the elections is given the authority to select and appoint INEC officials,we can never have a free, fair and credible election!

I will take them serious if the bill will pass second reading in Akpabio's senate.
