Ok we'll see how it goes then. But in all honesty we don't deserve to be there
life is not fair, if anything favors u, abeg collect am- if na Congo see this loophole about Nigeria and they lost that game, they will milk it to the fullest …. trust me

In 1996, Nigeria almost missed participating in Atlanta'96 Olympics men soccer event because Zimbabwe FA petitioned that our First Choice Goalkeeper then, Abiodun Baruwa was ineligible. Hmmmm - that thing hot that time, Zimbabwe fought it hard and dirty and we were very lucky to escape losing our qualification. Imagine if Zimbabwe had won their petition, there would never be an Olympic Gold Medal won by Nigeria in Men's Football Event. Nobody accused Zimbabwe of trying to qualify through the backdoor.

And for those mocking Nigeria I have a little history lesson for you…

In 1992, Denmark did not qualify for European Nations Cup but they replaced the then Yugoslavia who beat them to qualify because Yugoslavia was at war so they could not participate in the European Nations Cup

Guess what? That same Denmark that did not qualify, who were just added to make the group numbers, beat pre-tournament favorites and 1990 Defending World Cup Champions Germany 2-0 in the Finals to win the Europeans Nations Cup in 1992.

If the Danes had the attitude of saying they wont go to the European Nations Cup because they were not good enough to qualify, would they have won that trophy?

So please lets stop mocking the Super Eagles.

By the report above, the ineligible players only got cleared a day before our match, they didn't play the previous matches

True, I remember seeing a video clip about 3 of their players that switched nationalities from France and Belgium to Congo just before the playoffs. No wonder they're planting news in the media that FIFA has dismissed the appeal. They know they're in trouble

The rule or law in question is a domestic one(internal law), which only the DR CONGO only can apply. It has nothing to do with FIFA. So, it is whatever they(DR CONGO) say it is. And right now they are saying all the players were cleared. That's it. We move.

Getting into the world cup through the back door of courtroom is not a sin but getting there through a forgery and broken laws is evil and unacceptable.
Re: 2026 World Cup: Nigeria Reveals Why DR Congo Won’t Escape FIFA Sanction by Adexmik: 1:34pm On Dec 21, 2025
Every nations must be honest and walk by the rules of the games, no pass, pass, only use players that you have to play your games, don't carry C.R7 and L.M10 come play for D.congo is wayo. E no good.

So our 12th man is now a Lawyer? We couldn't score on the pitch, now we want to score in the courtroom. From 'Super Eagles' to 'Super Advocates'. This one na 'Win by Affidavit
Agreed, it was a game and it ended with the Super Eagles failing to score. For the sake of fair play, the NFF is challenging the eligibility of the players used. If it is found that the rules were violated, then the matter should be settled in court.
The NFF did not break the rules by fielding ineligible players just to score and win, as every team aims to do.

I support the NFF’s decision to challenge the issue of player eligibility. The game should be fair and equitable, in line with FIFA rules.

It’s unfortunate that the uproar is coming after a defeat, but a loss does not mean the NFF should ignore a possible rule violation. If there is a loophole or breach, it is right to seek clarification through the proper channels.

Let the game be fair and decided strictly by FIFA regulations.

simple as . Illegality must not be allowed to slide in the guise of displaying class . . FIFA only recognises each individual nation's eligibility rules in fielding players , yet the former Zaire broke her own citizenship law in desperation to decieve FIFA .

Everything is on record including dates and timelines in case Dr Congo decide to make any changes to the law. I believe the NFF has all the necessary information before initiating the challenge. We await FIFA’s decision.

So you still want us to qualify and disgrace Africa bah? Congo is better than us tactically and technically, we are only better individually... Nigeria can not achieve anything both in AFCON or WORLD CUP in as much is this chelle. No tactics, technically poor and you want us to go to the world cup.........
