My brother people are optimistic but how do you explain running 2024 budget in December, 2025 and carrying 70% of 2025 capital budget into 2026? And with reports of alterations in Tax Act many are right to question the direction the administration is heading

Then stick to your Sabinus and I Go Dye. Simple.

It's the same way I don't find them funny and find their comedy simpleton-esque.

Dave Chappelle is extremely funny and that's why he sells arenas and has more influence than even some politicians. Even Professors and Scientists defer to Chappelle because his jokes are extremely intelligent. Same people will sneer at the comedians you like.

It's the same way many of us don't rate some of these musicians' works of art but some of you will sleep through a classic Bez Idakula or Jon Bellion album who are actual artistes with intelligible lyrics.

Some people only find intelligent jokes funny while some need clown acts to laugh.

And anyone who considers Dave Chappelle's jokes as theses is dûmb! Well, anyone easily excited by the most banal things is. If you consider intelligent jokes a bore, a bouncing tire will amuse you.

He does skits. The first time I encountered him years ago, it was "yansh, yansh, yansh" so I muted his page. Millions of views but didn't excite me.

Then I recently happened on videos of him campaigning on issues like môléstation, genotype, and religious deception... They made more sense than he use to do and he's being taken more seriously. Certainly more seriously than Sabinus and his type.

Dezny might be the better example of very intelligently delivered observational satirical skits-making you're looking for.
------

But I was focusing on stand-up comedians.

Then ONLY stand-up comedian we have who can do anything close to the Michael Che and Trevor Noah is Bovi - intelligent, historically aware of global socio-politico-economics and does his research on issues.

The others are just "E get one guy for our area ehn", "Women get power o. My wife say...", "Halleluyah. We dey this industry 38 years... Kikiki". What the eff is that in 2025?!

Apple literally has guidelines published on how to request access to apple phones and the Cloud by the Government and law enforcement agencies: https://www.apple.com/privacy/government-information-requests/ .

If you think Apple doesn't share your details when required, I have two hectares of land at Banana Island at #350,000 to sell to you.

Also, Apple last month granted Google the right to infuse into its ecosystem to build Apple AI. If your iPhone uses AI, Google now has access. Apple AI is subcontracted to Google

Oh! You use Google Chrome and signed into your Google Account while accessing Facebook, X and WhatsApp, right? Bingo!

We are approaching the Singularity, man - everything is one thing.
Apple won't share even when required like that.Government can only access third-party apps and its not Apple sharing it to them it the apps creator,

Apple requires concrete legal documents from the government; if Apple deemed them "not okay",they wouldn't release the data. It's exactly why the UK Government wants ADP and stuffs removed.

He didn't take himself too seriously - people gave him the crown.

And he's one of the few top comedians who roasts everyone. When it was unpopular to do so in 2016, he roasted Hillary Clinton and said Trump will win. Analytically dissected her and her husband and why the media deceives them.

And he roasts everyone - from Liberals to Conservatives to the "Alphabet-people" (he popularized that term) to Christians and Muslims (he's a Muslim but most people don't know) to everyone.

He was one of the first to say Jussie Smollett was lying about being attacked by MAGAts before the later was officially found out. Dave analyzed it scene by scene and how it would have been impossible for anyone wearing a MAGA hat to walk down streets of Chicago in 2019; not to mention two men wearing such hats. But he did so in an extremely funny way which had the audience rolling. Again, watch the clip or full standup from 2019.

Dave Chappelle has always been the same from his SNL days to back in 2004. Go watch on YouTube. His style is observational sociopolitical commentary. It has always been.

He's funny until he makes fun of issues or people you hold in high regard, but he trolls everyone, including himself. And even in your angst, you'd realize he's stating the facts in a way which makes people laugh and uneasy at the same time.

"Dave Chappelle use to be funny."

Dave Chappelle in 2004/2005 before he left $50 million on the table and took a hiatus because he didn't want to be beholden to any corporation or his jokes censored. The video was uploaded in 2014 but it's older than that.

Watch to the end then tell me if it's any different from Dave Chappelle of now. He's even more rounded now but still the same guy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxhG3H2-EIE?si=aG0sXBKSndDNbKAi

His punchlines are always at the very end (you'll laugh at intervals though). It's called The Weave - round and round, then you realize every joke was interconnected all along; moving parts of the same engine.

There's a reason conspiracy theorist are claiming Dave is cloned. You can't watch the old Chappelle and claim this current version is even funny. My issue with Chappelle nowadays is all of his material is framed around this idea that everyone is dying to hear what his perspective is and he is reluctantly giving it. He should start a podcast if he wants to lecture. Its not just Chappelle, kat Williams new stuffs are below expectations compared to then, bill etc Political correctness have ruined comedy to some extent.

But that's the truth. He's an observational comedian at the highest level. People actually beg for his takes. He himself has said it's the reason he doesn't use Twitter. During the Lockdown, they were begging for his take so much venue owners made an exception for him to do his routine and it sold out with people actually attending... inspite of the restrictions.[/quote]
He should start a podcast if he wants to lecture.
Joe Rogan is the most influential podcaster - not streamer, podcaster - in the world who has on the biggest names from Elon to Trump to Nvidia boss.

Joe Rogan has said having Dave Chappelle on his podcast 5 years ago solidified his place as a podcaster to be taken seriously.

Dave rarely goes in podcasts or grants interviews. Yes, he's that influential. When he does or even coughs, it's headline news.

Its not just Chappelle, kat Williams new stuffs are below expectations compared to then, bill etc Political correctness have ruined comedy to some extent.
Katt Williams? Katt Williams just goes on and on about hood culture and is a crab in a bucket. And why the hell would I want to listen to a grown Black man fixing wigs and wearing jewellery like a retired Allen Avenue coochie-for-hire? Even Ali Siddiq is better than Katt Williams.

If Katt isn't bûllying BLACK comedians who have smaller platforms, he's calling those who are more established "industry plants" out of envy.

What did Kevin Hart and Chris Rock say recently? "Dave Chappelle is way up there at the very top." And Dave Chappelle smoked them at a standup all three headlined. Please confirm. He outshone all of them as the most intelligent.

Search for Killin them softly 2000. Watch that then bring any of his recent stuff even close to that masterpiece.

Actual jokes and funny hypothetical situations, with little politics here and there. They were the perfect balance, now it’s politics and his own personal beliefs with a few jokes.

People who understand Dave Chappelle need to be historically aware in a gazillion ways, pick up cues, understand sarcasm, the ability to weave multiple talking points to land punchlines, and a thousand other literary terms.

If you want a jëstër, try Kevin Hart or the many happy-go-lucky "E get one guy for our area" comedians we parade in Nigeria here.

Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Carr, Trevor Noah, Josh Johnson, Michael Che... Even Bill Burr. These are solid observational comedians with philosophical takes who are exceptionally brilliant.
These are the ones I binge-watch on YouTube in picture-in-picture mode all day on PC while working or leisuring.

Nobody who enjoys such comedians would dabble with the simplistic Sabinus and the likes.

People who know and have such exquisite taste in social commentary will laugh at you for saying so.

I guess you won't sit through the 3-hour-per-episode almost bi-weekly Joe Rogan podcasts then, or the two-hour-long Trigonometry podcasts.
It takes a certain level of intelligence to understand Chapelle, he captures your mind and steers you steadily to the punchline. Real funny guy grin

This is Dave Chappelle "Killing Them Softly' from 2000.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qGd6KXh_ig?si=D2uMNu3NhO_M-DA-

Compare to more recent ones like " Equanimity" and " Deep In The Heart of Texas" and you'll realize, the more he ages, the better his comedy. But at the very core, still the same guy addressing issues most people are too scared to talk about. And he'd make you laugh while doing it.

I don't know about you guys but I find kelvin hart very very funny. Once I see Kelvin Hart in any movie poster it's a goal for me. He does not even have to say anything to make you laugh. Just his mannerism and behavior is enough just like Jim Carrey. Comedians that do their stuff effortlessly are always the best.

I didn't call it sarcasm.

I said he unravel the thought process of a typical conspiracy theorist. That is actually conspiracy theorist move ; they look for just any little point and start making allegations upon assumptions without having any evidence to back it up and end up presenting it as facts.

For example Arthur Eze may have schooled at a time when Communism was fashionable and like most people who were in student union back then may have adored Hugo Chavez and other communists hence why he bought a portrait that has their face on it. A conspiracy theorist will never be satisfied with that simple explanation, he will assume it is a symbol of the man paying homage to drug mules which should automatically mean he's one. (Even when there's no evidence that suggests that).

I actually align with the points the guy passed with that video

You have obviously set Ur TikTok app to "Allwo app to track online activities " when u set it up.

I don't know about Android, but on iOS if u install an app like TikTok or any other app, when u are stying it up if will will prompt you if u want to allow the app to track Ur online activities. If u allow, the app's algorithm can pick up Ur online activities and start suggesting similar interests to u the next time u open the app.

For apss like FB, IG and WhatsApp that have the same owners it's even worse. If u search something on IG, FB no go let u rest with suggestions about that same subject matter for the next few days

Do these apps have access to your phone's microphone?

I was once on a call with someone, and the person mentioned a particular candy, and we laughed it off

The next thing I see is the ad of that same candy on Facebook immediately I ended the call.

What are the odds?

Personally I think tbey do.

I believe Ur phone is on standby listening mode because that's the only way I can explain how Siri responds and takes action the very moment u say " Hey siri" on iOS devices.

Methinks whatever is responsible for Siri responding in an instant is also listening on Ur conversation. Something tells me we must have agreed to those terms when we were setting our new phones up. You know those long terms and conditions we always skip and click "I agree"? I believe there must be mention of those terms in it

Nah, I disagree. Meta is a fluke, or I should say its documents policies are textbook. HOW are we even comparing Meta with known privacy leaks and stuff to Apple's?

There's a reason Apple is still being dragged to court.

Yoi ain't getting the point.

The FBI has a way of bypassing security, and it usually involves physical access to the phone or device or stuffs.

There is no backdoor; Apple does not have a backdoor or master key that the FBI can access. For the umpteenth time, the UK government has its own agencies like the FBI but is still struggling to remove these protections.

For example- if I use iMessage to threaten the UK government, their intelligence agencies won't be able to see the messages if Apple can't access them. No backdoor can help them unless they have physical access to my phone or something similar. Do you understand now?
