First pregnancy should be registered in a teaching hospital, please. Probably, cos of JOHESU strike. If not, go to Teaching hospitals for child births, especially first experience.

I can relate what the innocent lady passed through before leaving this sinful world. I can also relate what the husband went through. I almost killed a nurse at babcock teaching hospital in ilishan ogún state when my wife was to be transferred to a nearby facility and they were looking for stretcher to take her downstairs, after 45 minutes we made it downstairs only to be searching for the driver who will drive the ambulance after like an hour the driver surfaced claiming he went to attend to another official duty, the worst happened when we got to the other facility and the consultant there said no nurse or doctor from babcock called to inform them that we are coming, I turned to the nurse who accompanied us there and she was claiming she called, we checked the facility call logs only to discover that she didn't call. Unfortunately we lost the baby but my wife was alive. I almost sued the hospital but I later handed everything to God. Those hospitals can be negligent and irresponsible at times, u r the one to pressurize them and make them see the craze in you. RIP to the lady.

The medical facility clear caused the death of the woman.They must compensate the husband & NMA should withdraw the license of the consultant that advised against CS.

The true is that we need one strongbodi wey go fit hold all these hospitals for neck when dem careless with people life like dis Gynescope wahala. All these MDCN and Ministry dey, but di case show say the system weak from doctor wey dey give wrong advice, to no oxygen, to ambulance wey no even start, jedi jedi until person die. Even many public hospitals also kills their female patients during and after delivery due to negligence they are even worse with their non challant attitude my friend step sister died in UCH during fibroid surgery as a result of internal bleeding and hemorrhage

a woman I know also died in a general hospital in kaduna during childbirth she wasn't an illiterate who didn't register for ante-natal or didn't attend it frequently,neither was that she couldn't pay her delivery fee quickly Nigerian hospitals need an iron hand seriously!!

The hospital as as an institution should be heavily sanctioned for the negligence and for employing a quack doctor. Even an illiterate knows that a woman with a 4.2kg baby must not risk pushing, let alone a doctor who claims to be in charge of a procedure in a theater.

His license should be withdrawn and he must be made to pay for the innocent life he wasted. His punishment must be heavy to serve as deterrence to others like him.

The man should sue that hospital and the attending surgeon and Doctors that day thank God he is a lawyer and he should spread the news on social media let it not be swept under the carpet,this is even a private hospital where they charge high fees yet don't value human life if it was a general hospital now people would have said why can't he take her to a qualified private hospital since government hospital staffs are non challant blah blah blah!!

maybe the surgeon's there are quacks who can't perform a ceasearian section because how can a qualified doctor expect a woman with a tiny cervix and pelvis to push a larger than usual head size baby out naturally? even being petite had already put her at a disadvantage,had the man knew he would have just taken her to gbagada general hospital for CS it doesn't mean you must deliver your baby in the hospital you registered for ante-natal

The nerve of that consultant who delivered the baby I read on another another news where he was interviewed he lied that the lady was bleeding from the anus not the uterus and it was because she took pepper soup after the delivery that maybe something who made women bleed after pregnancy was added into the pepper soup never have I seen where a woman will bleed through the anus profusely to death when she doesn't do anal sex or was pooing from there and I have seen countless women fed pepper soup after delivery never have I seen them bleed to death!

The quack surgeon has added lies to his portfolio those private hospitals self too do!! that's how they killed chef peju ugboma too.
Federal government should investigate these private hospitals self most of them are death traps they are only after patients money not their well being.

Lagos state maternal clinic is better that many of these so called private hospitals.

Child and maternal hospitals are designed for caring for pregnant women and children only.

They are cheaper as well.

This is most disheartening! Many private hospitals are glorified clinics. They don’t really have the specialists required for complex situations. It's so sad. May God comfort her husband and family as her soul rests in peace.

Oftentimes, LASG Mother and Child hospitals and other public hospitals are far better than many private hospitals.

The hospital should be closed and the doctors who did the C section should be sanctioned, this is negligence of duty and this is how most doctors do behave, they don't value human and this is against their professional code of conduct.

Vaginal delivery of fetal macrosomia is not always advisable,mostly in a fetus weighing 4.5kg in a diabetic mother and 5kg in a non diabetic mother.
I strongly believe that she died of hemorrhage from cervical tear complicated by eclampsia.
The woman may likely have had an eclamptic seizures which was not well managed, which is common in women with pregnancy induced hypertension. She may have well developed gestational diabetes which was not properly checked or monitored during antenatal care routine investigations.
The story is one sided, let's wait for the hospitals side of the story.
RIP to her.
May God comfort the parties affected and give them the grace to look after the baby.
In any case, cesarean section is an option but also comes with it's complications too.

When people say delivery without CS is normal delivery, I tell them they are crazy. That so called normal delivery is abnormal delivery.

I happened to be in the labour room with my wife from beginning of labour to delivery for our first child. O boy, it was such a frightening experience.
