It's an insult on the people of Ogun state for Yayi who has represented Lagos state from state assembly, to house of rep, to Senate for almost 2 decades and now suddenly remember he wants to govern Ogun state. It's an insult, it's disrespectful. Let Yayi go and govern in Lagos state where he represented for decades What an arrant nonsense

Aregbesola also governed in Lagos as Commissioner and then was dispatched to Osun. Opeyemi Bamidele also governed in Lagos and was dispatched to Ekiti Faleke governed in Lagos and was dispatched to Kogi & has returned to Lagos Hazmat governed in Lagos and is still governing in Lagos. Yayi did nothing different, please let's leave him alone. He has a good vision for Ogun State like he did in my voting constituency in Lagos West....... Yayi jooooooo Ore Ara Ilu, we love you! |

fergie001:Bro all those you mentioned are not from Ogun state. Ogun state politics is different And if you want to talk about Amosun, OGD, DA being brought, they never served outside the state before. It's disrespectful for Yayi to have represented Lagos state for almost 2 decades and now be saying he wants to govern Ogun state. What is he taking the people from the state for? |

helinues:Is it not disgraceful that Faleke has been Reps member for Ikeja for 5th term, yet went to the Supreme Court to be pronounced Governor of Kogi State? An Ogun native is the present Deputy Governor of Lagos, we are not complaining nah. An Ondo-born was Governor before Jide, we didn't complain either. When Yayi contested against Rhodes-Vivour, I complained they said Baba sope. When Oyinlola complained about Aregbesola years ago, they said no problem, he is Osun-born, and has the constitutional rights to contest. Again, Dapo was into Lagos politics and was drafted into the race as Ogun Gov by Tinubu. OGD himself was involved in Lagos politics before he also became Gov. He provided Asiwaju's campaign office in 1999 when the latter was contesting to be Governor. Please, don't distract Yayi. If Asiwaju picks him, that's all. This is one of the things about stuffs like this, once it starts, all fingers get stuck on. |

Outsiders are ruling Lagos, but when we talk, they call us names. Let me add Lai Mohammed tried to be Kwara governor, he vacated his post for Fashola to become Chief of Staff to Tinubu. An Egba man will become next Ogun governor. Won kan fe je owo Yayi ni. Think about it I know this guy from Egbeda /Akowonjo, he used to be round houses for them to vote him. ![]() |

fergie001: Please, don't distract Yayi. If Asiwaju picks him, that's all.Imagine another disrespectful talk. So it's Asiwaju that will tell Ogun people what to do right. The supporters of Yayi should keep on with the insult . Same you that always frown about godfatherism. Oga oo |

LibertyRep:Yayi's offense na two things. He over served in Lagos when he could have crossed to Ogun state if he really cares. It doesn't make sense for him to serve in Lagos for almost 2 decades and now crossing over to contest Ogun state governor Sango Ota road and Lagos Ibadan express way. You see those two roads, they are very important to Ogun state. They have awarded contract for those roads severally which nothing tangible have been done. What precisely is the role of Yayi as a senator if not to oversight the government projects in his constituency and beyond. So what has he been oversight of those roads are still in dilapidated. Nothing personal apart from Yayi's negligence about some important things |
| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by fergie001(mod): 12:55pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
helinues:So, that he does it doesn't mean it's right. I don't vote in Ogun. You have been crying against Yayi. I will say it again, if Yayi is non-performing like he was when he was in Lagos, that's a valid reason to throw him out but the excuse of he has been in Lagos and all that, doesn't hold water. Many of our leaders in the last two decades had their roots either in politics, business or the likes from Lagos. Simple and Short! Let Yayi be, if the leader of the party intends to handpick him, like he has done in Osun and he will still do in some other States, that's all or others can defect and do the needful. |

fergie001:Okay, tell us the wonders Yayi did in the constituency he represented in Lagos state. That should have been the arguments of those who want to impose him on the Ogun state people |

helinues:. Meet him at the polling unit. Power is never served like party jollof rice, you fight for it and win it. Stop behaving like Peter Obi who wants Power to be zoned to his village so that he can bring out some village drunks and clowns to contest with him |
| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by helinues(op): 1:11pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
simpleseyi:Hahaha, this na just for reference purpose.. Election is not conducted or won online. That's why we are reminding Yayi's online supporters to stay updated with the local politics of the state |

helinues:Dapo Abiodun who is Governor today, what and what did he do in Ogun or Lagos before he was imposed? We are just going in circles...... The hopeful thing now for Ogun citizens is for Baba not to raise Yayi's hands unless they are willing to oppose and resist it. helinues:The dates are there, help yourself Oga |

| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by helinues(op): 1:42pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
fergie001:You are just running from the post to the pillar. Just for you to tell us what he did extraordinary, you are going back and forth You can't even boldly post the achievements of Yayi yet you want him to be imposed on the people of Ogun state. We go dash Abia people Yayi. As you so much believe in his leadership, he will contest the Abia governorship election in 2027... ![]() |

Why taking panadol for another man headache... It's YAYI or nothing. Come to Abeokuta the state capital & see his impact everywhere, not to talk of other rural areas. You'd even think he's the governor or one of the senators. He has done pretty well & deserved to be the next Governor. Not even GNI can stop him |

| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by helinues(op): 1:44pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
fbabs:Bro, politics of Ogun central specifically is different. Whether Senator, house of reps members, state house of assembly members, even ordinary local government chairman, you can't go more than 2 terms. That's what outsiders don't know. They just think because Yayi is somehow close to president Tinubu, then he can be imposed.. Hahaha, cheap jokes |
| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by fergie001(mod): 1:48pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Lamasta:It came up in a suit like that I can't remember hurriedly... The Supreme Court was clear.... Where a person comes from is immaterial to whether he is voted for or not. I can be from Enugu, then go to Ekiti and contest, if the people like me enough to vote for me and do so, so be it. |

| Re: Senator Yayi Should Go And Govern Where He Represented For Almost 2 Decades by fergie001(mod): 1:53pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
helinues:It's over two years now and everyday is about Yayi. You of all people didn't ask what Sanwo-olu did before he was handpicked or Ambo or even D7. Now the butt of the joke is because it's happening in your home Constituency and you are now chesting out. Anybody following this thread of yours can decipher where it's headed to. If Tinubu deems it fit to impose Yayi on Abians, and they decide to vote him, he will be Governor. Are we good now? |
