HeatSeeker:We will never be on the same page Padre. Never. I wouldn't have come across you had you not mention my moniker. Now to your question for me to ponder. Lol In Islam, we are told to "enter" Islam completely. "O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and (2:208) As you can see, for Muslims, if the Quran doesn't command it nor was the Practice of the Prophet, we don't indulge it. Even in your Bibeli, birthday was mentioned in relation with Pharaoh and Herod. So, if you celebrated it with fanfare as you lots do, you are following in the examples of Pharaoh and Herod ![]() |

Lukuluku69:Who are these "Muslims" you speak of?! Are you more Muslim than those in Saudi?! Are they pagans too If they celebrated birthdays, as the norm throughout the world?! If I had not seen Islamic faithfuls engaging in birthday celebrations, I would have thought this was normal. |

HeatSeeker:Padre, a Muslim by definition and identity, is not by geo-location or by national or skin colours. A Muslim is the one who submits to the Will of his/her Creator. He/she is the one that follows the will of Allah, the Lord of the Heavens and Earth, and everything in between. That said, being Saudi or Pakistani doesn't make them any Muslims than I am nor me than them. The criterion is in which of us follows the Will of Allah. And how do you know the one that follows the Will of Allah, open the Quran, and read then follow the examples of Allah's Messenger, who it was that was sent with a message and not norms of any Cultures of the world no.matter how widely accepted or celebrated. Understand ye? It is true that some misguided Muslim faithfuls do engage of this norms, that doesn't make it part of the commands in their faith. Now, you can understand why some of the Muslims that won't conform to the standards and norms of the world are you usually called "Fumdamentalists"? Padre, I would have thought this is no skin of your nose, it is the Muslims telling other Muslims that birthdays are haram with evidence and you being a Christian is the one opening a thread about a Muslim affair, is that not the "whataboutism" you railed against when you mentioned my moniker? You can go ahead and celebrate birthdays following the examples of Pharaoh and Herod Lol |

Lukuluku69:How does seeking understanding about a strange "Islamic" practice amount to whataboutism? You need to move on from the failure you displayed on that thread. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by Lukuluku69(m): 3:52pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
HeatSeeker:Eyah. Now that you have been educated on why Islam forbids birthday celebrations you suddenly see it as "strange"? It is okay. Since your fabled "success" on that thread, I have been able to point you to at least 3/4 Christian whataboutism that your brethren have committed (with this thread of yours) but you won't see it, because the hatred for Islam and Muslims is a lifelong thing for people as you. So, continue with your birthday celebrations, you are track with the examples of Pharaoh and Herod and not your Lord and personal saviour ![]() |

Lukuluku69:Your fundamentalist leanings will not save you. You have pointed out nothing to me except your inability to accept the short comings of your faith. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by Lukuluku69(m): 4:38pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
HeatSeeker:Yeah I am a Fundamentalist when it comes to.my Faith and how I practice it. If it is not in the Quran and not the practice of the Prophet, I don't do it even if the whole wide world are doing it. Well, your Lord's birthday is coming up this week and following the examples of Pharaoh and Herod, sevi una go kill goats and chicken and drink aplenty? Continue. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by HeatSeeker(op): 4:46pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Lukuluku69:And your fellow Muslims will join us to eat the chicken, goats, and rice. If we share food to them, they will eat ![]() I am sure you will also eat when your Christian neighbours share food with you. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by Lukuluku69(m): 5:09pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
HeatSeeker:Of course they can eat Christian Food but i doubt Christmas Food. I hope you know the difference? And of course I do eat Christians Foods but not Christmas Food. One of your G.O in the Deeper Life Ministry Mr. Kumuyi also holds the views as we Muslims do that Birthdays and your Lord's birthday of 25th December is of Pagan Origin. Same for the Monutain of Fire G.O yet they are both filled with the Holy Ghost! Lol Holy Ghost tells Mr. Kumuyi and MFM Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya that it is of pagan tradition qnd told Redeemed Church G.O to holding Christmas Carol! Padre, your G.O.d don't even agree under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost ![]() |

HeatSeeker:So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 In Islam, we believe we are created to worship Allah day and night with our actions, etc. So celebration is of course part of our deeds! It counts either as a plus or minus for us. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by HeatSeeker(op): 6:15pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
Lukuluku69:Stop contradicting yourself and trying to play smart. You eat food prepared and shared freely out of love by Christians. Is that not part of the fundamentalist Haram your version of Islam denounces?! The very same that prohibits the celebration of birthdays. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by HeatSeeker(op): 6:29pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
AntiChristian: Your attempt to misuse the scriptures is comical to say the least. There is nothing religious about birthday celebrations. It is purely a socio-cultural observance that cuts across races, tribes, and religion (maybe except fundamentalist Islam). Christians are exhorted to be conscious of God in all their actions, this does not in anyway make these actions religious practices in themselves. |
| Re: Is It Un-islamic To Celebrate Birthdays? by Lukuluku69(m): 7:37pm On Dec 22, 2025 |
HeatSeeker:I eat Christians Food but not the one for Christmas because it us of Pagan tradition. Pastor Kumuyi said so openly, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya of MFM says it is Satanic. Yes I eat food from Christians but not that one you cook for Christmas in the examples of Pharaoh and Herod. Do you understand now? Anyway you like to twist it. That's your cup of kunu not mine. |
