The truth is that Yorubas do not practice true proper democracy. They are monarchical in nature and monarchical people cannot claim to be democrats, throw Islam to the mix and you have feudalism disguised as democracy.

This is why when some people say they want to leave Nigeria, some Yorubas think it is absurd not to bow and worship your fellow man in political dependency. This why many Yorubas who practice Islam hate Mazi Kanu.
