I give you 10 gosa for the above comment, some people only watch football matches but have no insight in the game. They are all "TODDLERS" they don't understand soccer.

This is tournament not qualifying, teams grow as the competition move, In case of Argentina in the last world cup , the lost their first match to saudi Arabia and eventually won the competition. There are other teams like that too, Nigeria will get stronger an better arm the competition goes.

Tanzania that has been playing since 1980, you expect them to getting better, more importantly, they scaled through qualifying stage more comfortable than Nigeria .

My 10 Takes: Nigeria Beats Tanzania 2 —1

1. The truth? The Super Eagles is not World Class.

2. One thing the Super Eagles manager did that impressed me was playing Chukwueze behind Osimehn.

3. At some point everything Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi were doing in that midfield was a beauty to behold.

4. I wished Chukwueze wasn't subbed too early. If only the boys have earned the right to oppose a change. But at the moment none of them have earned that right.

5. Tanzania had a well worked out goal. If they had a well organised attackers. They would have drawn the game at 2—2.

6. Alex Iwobi is Man Of The Match. He bossed the midfield. He provided a beautiful assist. And did made some good supply up front.

7. Osimehn had no goal. He had one goal only in the last AFCON. Yet S/Eagles got to the final. So this is not an Osimehn FC. It's very fine if he doesnt score. I value play more. We didnt play consistently as I wanted.

8. Statement is not only made by goals. If we scored 1 goal in this game but press and play well for the 90 mins. I'd take that.

9. Since we all agreed that we want play. We sacked many managers because they didnt win games the way we wanted. So if we want play. Lets see play.

10. The number 10 jersey has been disrespected lately. We just put it on anyone we like. From Tolu to Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Who wasn't playing anything reasonable in the game today. His performances today should earn him a permanent bench.


PS: Tanzania had defenders and a goalkeeper that wanted to ensure they had a video for their agents. It was Mission Stop Osimehn. And they executed it well. They did what they had to do. Even if it meant attacking Osimehn's left eye ball.

Respect to Osimhen and his achievement. I never said Osimhen is not a good player, infact he is a good player.

But the fact remains that Osimhen is not a world class Striker. Osimhen is not in the class of Halaand, Mbappe, Harry Kane, La tauro, gyokeres etc. Osimhen is not there yet.

Osimhen belongs to the class of Jackson. That he is the highest goal scorer in Turkish league doesn't take him beyond the class of Nicolas Jackson.

He mistime his runs, makes wrong decisions, miss 1v1 regularly. In a top club, midfielders will think twice before giving him a goal scoring pass
