Is finishing second thrice a trophy?

Adakintroy:
You use word funny. What do you mean arsenal is an average club. Team that is the third biggest domestic clubs. Don't know anything about winning. Team finish 2nd in three consecutive season is average. So what do you call Everton. I can understand if you talking from sentiment. But if you are logical analysing things pls take a sit. Cuz there is no team current that will go toe to toe with arsenal current that will not panick. That's an average team.

Shameless club and supporters, you couldn't win ordi-nary crystal palace in normal time, look at your players breathing like pregnant hyenas on a marathon 😁 you needed extra time, it still wasn't enough you needed penalties which you almost lost.

Well you guys have come to the end of the journey, arsenal will face their husband in the next round and we will send you guys to the other room where your club belongs.

I will quote you after the first leg of the semi's because there won't be a need for second leg.

Imagine this audacity of the weak. Even a dog wouldn't bark this nonsense. That weed isn't good for your health.

Chelsea have reached their bus stop this time. No escape route. As title pretenders, you're bound to surrender to Arsenal. We can't wait to put chelshit in a coffin and nail it this time.

Stop your delusion.

Even with red card and all the ojoro your team could only get okro soup at Stamford bridge.
The only reason you're topping EPL table is because of 9 red cards Chelsea have been illegally given this season which has had a direct effect on the outcome those matches if not who be arsenal for where king of Europe, king of the world, king of premier League, king of continents dey talk.

Do have any idea what those trophies look like?
No make me vex 😡 arsenal know your mates and stay in your lane.
Josep Guardiola owns the premier League this season.

To answer your question, I say yes and you are comparing apples and oranges here sir.
In football, finishing second severally is not success because what is stopping the team finishing second every time from coming first?
If you have a kid that is finishing second everytime, you will surely demand of him or her to dethrone the person ahead even if is just once.

And arsenal has done so 13time. Three times in the premiership era so what's your point?

And what is topping them from adding to this acclaimed 13?
City has won 7 Premiership which you witnessed. 6 more titles, they will equal your record, 7 more and your team goes behind them.
Let assume Pep chooses to stay at City for the next ten years. You know the rest.

You and Chelsea can't be taken serious. It's not surprising to see the village champions to be out of the title race before January.

One can't expect to have low class players like Caicedo, James, Pedro, etc, and compete with the big giants in football. Their coach is nothing above average. Their fans are highly delusional.

Nothing good is expected in that club.
Re: Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace: EFL Cup (1 (8) - (7) 1) - On 23rd December 2025 by ViceGovernor: 3:50pm On Dec 28, 2025
You still don't have a champions league, with our so called mediocre players we won the biggest trophy in club football you couldn't even qualify because you are not European champion, nor are you premier league champion, when last did your world class players win the premier league?

Our least decorated player has more trophies than arsenal in the last 2 decades.

I can't be arguing with you ffs, I only parley with European champions or their league champion equivalent, when you win the champions League come let's break bread 🍞.

Your club's net spend is the highest in the last 3 years in EPL and trophy cabinet is the lowest in the last decade, what a sight for sore eyes 👀 your club is, actually they have always been a sight for sore eyes.
No be today e start..... friendly reminder 🎗️ Josep Guardiola's Man city owns the premier league this season, you are just warming the first position for him like cold eba in the morning.

If arsenal is an elite club like you guys claim, let them add to the 13, that is what I am saying.
I can assure you that arsenal will surpass Liverpool's 30yrs of no title.

You can't make a coherent argument. You just keep moving the post. You say they are a average club. Can an average club be 13times champions?. You yet to even answer that. Thank God for records. Cuz many of you can wipe people heritage off just cuz of the way you feel

Will you regard Nottingham Forest as an average club or elite club?
To me, Nottingham Forest is an average club but mind you this same Nottingham Forest Football Club has won the UCL which is on record but your arsenal has never won the UCL.
I have no reason to argue about the titles won by arsenal and these titles you have mentioned were won when the club was still an elite club. Arsenal is an average club now because no elite club win trophies and then go on break from winning more for decades.

Do you want to go into definitions. What criteria we ought to use as marker. Man.u had been peeing on themselves of recent. Are they elite? They have won some few title lately but have fallen short of standards. Can we still call them elite ? Chelsea same. They have won a couple. But we know the standard they could reach. It's all about consistency at the top. But when we speak elitism we talk about overall performance. As consistently as can be manage over a long stretch of time. Title fans, stadiums, sponsor's money. The lame man uses one single marker which is trophy. Mostly recent. That's why am still looking for your relevant maker. I bet urs is recent title won.

Yes, mine maker is "recent titles" if you want to tag it so.
You mentioning clubs that are far better than arsenal as reference to explain your point is what I don't seems to understand.
You want to bring Man United and Chelsea as examples where arsenal is?
Reading your reply over and over again, I must confess, I see you as a brilliant and smart person but then pick other clubs if you want to compare on this our discussion about arsenal being average or elite.
Chelsea and Man United are thousand miles ahead and away from being compare to arsenal.
If you want me to accept arsenal as an elite club because of past glories, I agree but if you want to refer to this said arsenal as an elite club without winning trophies to like elite clubs do, then I will never accept that arsenal is an elite club until otherwise.

You are not making proper sense. Sense yes proper no. . There is a way road side thinkers think It's deride as banters and beef or take down. I agree it's part of the football. The rivalry# . But proper thinking is drawn from respect. It's why you can't stay steady with your argument. Always shifting the post. You wish to stay disrespectfull.

You say arsenal has not won anything in recent years. As basics for your critism . Yes fair enough and granted. But when I point Chelsea and Manchester as top club that has not won much in recent years. Or let's just sum it up as fallen short of standards recently. You did not agree.

IF your makers are recent trophies. We're are united and Chelsea. ?

I am not going to pay any attention to your long epistle that I don't understand so I will go to the last part of this post and focus there.
Kindly list what Man Unite and Chelsea have won in the last 10 years (which to me is recent) and then also list what trophies arsenal has won within this 10 years.
I will be waiting.

I don't answer this kind of question, because I have never seen City bottle an EPL cup before. Even in 2012 when it seemed like they were going to bottle it, they worked out two goals within the last 3 minutes. Aguero and Balotelli that year are still turning my head till today grin

Just forget about this season. Go again next season.
How far the season. City bottle am? Or you go like explain again?

When you are leading and eventually you let them equalise you, that's bottling. Arsenal has just 30 mins to take home the UCL, but they bottled it by allowing an equaliser, all because they were parking the bus extremely.

Did France bottle the world cup final? 2023, did Inter bottle it, 2022, did Liverpool bottle it, 2021, City bottled it?

Or you just choose to throw words around cause you think it makes you sound "cool"?

No, France didn't bottle it because they never led. Inter didn't bottle it because they never led at any point in the game. Liverpool didn't bottle it because they never led at any point. City didn't bottle it against Chelsea because they never led at any point in the game. From 2004 to 2026, only three teams have bottled it.

1. AC MILAN 2005: They were leading 3-0. Eventually Liverpool equalised them and eventually won during the PK. That was the greatest UCL bottling of all time grin

2. Arsenal 2006: They were leading 1-0 and less than 25 minutes to the end of the game, they conceded twice and lost

3. Arsenal 2026: They were leading 1-0 and less than 25 minutes to the end of the game, they conceded and still lost through PK.

4. Bayern Munich 2012: They were leading 1-0 at 83 minutes and less than 2 minutes to the end of the game, they conceded and went to penalty to lose against Chelsea.

Bottling comes when you are leading and then gave up the lead. All the examples you brought are not bottlings because they never led from beginning to the end of the game.

From the stats above, Arsenal led the bottling company, doing this twice.
