my question is, what is the population of that church.

with you asking people to stay off it's obvious you are targeting the Nigerian churches.

you are contradicting yourself with the bolded there. first time of attending a church "in your life", yet you are dissecting a church inside out?

beside you don't know the church like you claim. you only judge the church based on hearsay, the general judgemental opinion of those that are positioned to bring down the church. I'm not saying all churches are good but backlash against Christianity for no reason is out of it.

I'm not against what ever the charity out there, good thing to do and I love it. as a people (Nigerians) are too entitled, even when can afford it, we still want it for free even at the expense of those that really needs it.


they won't rather they will whimp, they don't pay tithe, those paying aren't complaining, even the one individual that can't explain what church is would scream the loudest.

Honestly, it feels like most people dragging Nigerian churches haven't actually experienced the good ones. I have to give credit where it's due—back when I was a regular at RCCG, they were consistent with sharing hamper with food items, and Christ Embassy does the same. Many churches even distributed bags of rice and other food items this Christmas. Just because your local branch didn’t show up for you doesn't mean others aren't doing the work.

Well, people have to, and that includes me, follow christ, because he said so, not because we would get end of year gifts or because some paster said that if we give three months salary we would have 30 billion naira in our bank accounts by the end of the year.

Following "Christ" entails seeking leaders whose actions matched their words......you can't just follow anyone and claim you're following Christ...... infact, you've been mandated to not just ignore evil/wrong doing but to call it out and fight it.

When the head is rotten.....you know what they say becomes of the body.

This is the very firdt time am going to church in my life and i received such gifts.

Our Nigerian Christian community don't practicalise love
By January they will call for first fruit... That's all ur salaries.
Remember this December they called for thanksgiving where members will bring or empty their purse.
Then we talk about tithe and offering
And unending seed sowing.

So i was excited to share to show love still exists in Christian communities.

Yes true, but like what I have always said, Poverty ,Ignorance and the will to not bother to ask question fuels the narrative as described by you.
Steve Harvey in his show openly told a pastor off that he will never pay first fruit and he asked the guy, Do you know what my salary is? and do you know what 10% of my income is?

My church went to a government hospital with toiletries to share the love of Jesus Christ this Christmas.

The adults and children who came for Christmas service received snacks, cookies, and drinks.

Some young people ate cooked food.

Nobody paid for any of these. The monies utilised came from the church's account, and voluntary contributions by some of us in the church.

The European nations are more organised and with a mindset that supports the development of people's mind. People bequeath their wealth to many causes and also support these causes.

There are many organisations like that in different fields of life.

For example, the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) spends millions of dollars to ensure that children come to the knowledge of God all over the world. For example, today, a Christmas party was organised for children around my community and this happened as well as all over the world.

My church spends millions to support members to attend programmes and cater for their accommodation, transportation and feeding free of charge. How did they get the money? From voluntary contributions and faithful payment of tithes and offerings.

Every system has checks and balances as well as unscrupulous persons who try to breach it whether pastors or bankers or lecturers or business people or civil servants.

Hmmmmm.....and not to even mention how this kind of mentality is one of the major causes of Nigeria's backwardness today.

Politicians would steal money of live TV and come and run campaign and you'll see people in numbers cheering him on and some defending online.....same applies to Religious leaders and celebrities..... it's the very people that should make them feel they did wrong that'll be cheering them on and backing them then turn around to lament on how the country is getting worst ignoring their own contributions to the rot.

Life is simple....what you sow is what you reap ...you can't sow stupidity and evil and hope that praying all day will change the outcome of the harvest.

Maybe they see Poverty written all over you and think you are very Hungry and Deprived, which is how they perceive most Black Immigrants and incase you dont now, the White folks (and probably everyone) derives a sense of satisfaction, a sense of being empowered and a sense of superiority, when they do these "giving out Alms to the less privileged" immigrants and the Poor, even if the same person will take actions that will inflict pain on you the next minute or are the ones even responsible for your poor state, in the first place.

When it is said that "The Hand of the Giver is Always on Top", it is a description of that sense of Superiority and Satisfaction of being "Economically Better than these Poor Immigrants".

My Prayer has always been that God should not allow me to face any situation that will make me to go and 'beg' for food, from the courtyard of my 'enemy'.
God has been Faithful.
I pray God will elevate you too, to a position where you can be giving out food and other forms of Alms

Please this is not Christmas gift.. It was one of the Sundays in December. The storehouse was opened and we collected anything we wanted. I got this shoe. It came with the receipt
I decided to post this today cos i am free

They even asked us to come this Christmas day... 25th for gifts but i couldn't.. Because of work
