I’m not going to edit this,I’ll write this as it comes..

Last year I wrote about in the trenches,the uncertainties mixed with joy,the days where the basics threatened to become a regular thing ..
Chicken,new clothes,new shoes,a steamy pot of Jollof rice,new toys-the lifestyle the well to-do enjoy on a regularly ,we from the trenches savour it on a day like this…..

But today feels strange-a Christmas that doesn’t feels like one..The trenches seems to have fallen into more serious hardship:few chickens,less new clothes,old shoes,barely any aroma from a steamy pot of Jollof rice,no toys…. The gap between well to-do and the rich has never been this wide and for the first time in a long Christmas,the trenches bled sadness on the birthday of the lord and saviour..

Personally,the days leading to Christmas has been very tough on me,the dreams of making home proud had drifted me far from home,making home proud I’ve not done,coming back home neither can
I afford….And the woman I’ve spent the last two years loving also cheated on me…
Do you know what they say about love??
Love can be the sweet as honey when it’s going right,but bitterer than bile when it hurts,it’s safe to say I’m currently feasting on the biliousness of love and boy it’s has been bitterer than my first fear…
But people will say-you pick up the pieces of your life and keep forging ahead,sincerely I don’t know how to forge ahead,but stagnancy is something I can’t afford,even if it cost a naira…so I’ll try my best to keep it moving,even on days where my wheels decides to fall off…
Hopefully I’ll have reasons to write again very soon,till then,merry Christmas from alagbawi abete
