That said, Nigerian military and intelligence services were consulted to green-light ALL targets that have been reduced to smoldering wreckage already in the opening hours of this necessary intervention, just as all future target lists will be approved by the Nigerian military.

How do you know this and why are you so sure of it?

President Bola Tinubu is a man of few words and decisive action, which we are now witnessing with MORE TO COME, as targets all over Nigeria,. wherever terrorists are camped, are comprehensively vaporized one after the other.
+
Please leave this insistence that this is in anyway Tinubu's handiwork or decision. We all, including you, know he has NO say in it.

I was rather referring to whether or not they would achieve a cessation of the activities of these groups.

As to your reference to the capacity of these drones to be precise, the sad truth is that they have yet struck very innocent targets even in the most recent conflicts.

On a lighter note, I just love that word "loiters" as used here.
Haha no be small ting, my brother. A hoodlum loiters around the street corner looking for unsuspecting targets of opportunity, while a ground-attack drone loiters in an elliptical holding pattern while scanning the ground hundreds of feet below using 50-power-magnification cameras to ironically identify targets of opportunity who will never hear the distant engines of the bear in the air above them, before all fades to black for them.

From a practical standpoint it is, as you note, practically impossible to conduct air-strikes or missile deliveries without non-target individuals or vehicles on random occasion straying within range of the explosive fragmentation envelope during those moments when inbound flying ordnance strikes home and detonates.

However, on reflecting over the sheer magnitude and sadistic brutality of the Islamic terror slave-raiding and land-grabbing invasion that has recently been gathering momentum across a rapidly expanding area of Nigeria's landmass, the 11th-hour military pact between the Nigerian and US governments is an extraordinary response brought about by a grave and growing security threat that is clearly funded by the deep pockets of homicidal zealots harboring a frightening agenda for Nigeria that must be de-militarized and vanquished as a matter of overarching urgency.

Furthermore, the aggregated summation of all alleged or confirmed civilian collateral damage that will be recorded during of this vital ground-pounding exercise that Uncle Sam is supervising for Nigeria's lasting benefit, will only amount to a modest fraction of the death toll that Islamist terrorists have ALREADY inflicted all over Nigeria, talk less the horrors that would have been in store for Nigeria if the new sheriff in town, our man Big Don Trumpenstein, did not see fit to step in "guns ablaze", precisely as promised earlier.

On a personal level, I would welcome close-up aerial bombardment if I ever found myself under guard as a captive in a remote kidnappers hideout, because that fireworks display will either end my suffering quickly, or, much more preferably, offer a fleeting chance for the captives to make a break for freedom by sprinting off towards all compass points amid the bedlam and confusion of the aerial onslaught.

Fair enough.
I must ask something. Do you have some military or engineering background because some of the technical language you use in these matters fascinates me.

Despite my familiarity with hunting and self-defense firearms, I cannot lay claim to a military or law enforcement background, Ogawa DeepSight.

My favorite novelist is the late Tom Clancy, whose best-sellers delved into the world of intrigue, geo-politics and military confrontations. Without resorting to outright plagiarism, I draw inspiration both from Tom Clancy's gift as a raconteur, as well as from his specialized diction unique to war, choreographed violence, and skullduggery.

So, what do you want Tinubu to do??

Do you know what it means to be "World Power"

Nigerians better wake up calling their respective politicians to put pressure on the political class and coerce them to talk sense to government and start eliminating the Terrorist, be it, herdsmen, banditry or unknown gunmen.

If we allow World power to shook eye into our resources, then we are done. undecided cry
“So what do you want Tinubu to do”?

Do you honestly think that Tinubu couldn’t do what America did last night? The number one job of a president is to protect its citizens. Tinubu allowed Trump allowed to do the job he could have done himself. Tinubu has made himself and Nigeria look weak in the eyes of the world. Tinubu is the only Nigerian president that was in office when America bombed Nigeria. Sad!

The Nigerian military is among the best equipped and most capable such force in West Africa, but the United States military is VASTLY superior to any other comparable force on this planet for multiple reasons ranging from surveillance technology to the robustness and diversity of its high-tech warfare equipment inventory.

There is no shame at all in calling in the big guns, since the Islamist threat the nation faces was getting completely out of hand, to the point of overwhelming the Nigerian military by slow increment. The only complaint any rational and informed observer of events in Nigeria could possibly express with respect to America's opening missile salvo launched on Christmas night 2025, is that the help did not arrive years sooner. Anyway, as the old saying goes, better late than never.

There’s a big shame in allowing a foreign power to do your job for you in your own country. What is so spectacular about the American strike that Nigeria cannot do? Tinubu refused to do it because he did not want to anger the caliphates.
The true definition of a leader is one who act decisively and protects his people against enemies, foreign or domestic.

The Islamists are being financed by Arabs with lots of spending cash to squander on military adventures. This terrorist invasion is no longer just a rag-tag band of illiterate herdsmen with rifles. Boko Haram has access to serious military hardware, including tanks, artillery pieces and transport helicopters, thanks to copious funding sent by their wealthy Arab and Chinese paymasters whose eyes are focused on toppling the elected Nigerian government by force of arms, so as to seize control over the nation's oil wealth, and mineral resources respectively.

This Islamist government takeover nightmare scenario is unfolding in nearby Mali as these words are typed, so nothing must be left to chance, and the biggest boy on the block MUST be invited to duke it out with the bully who daily kills and kidnaps Nigerian civilians.

Stop making excuses for inexcusable! If these terrorists have that much money, why are they kidnapping for ransom?? You are defending a government that has lost its way.

Former Edo State governor Oshiomole recently alerted the world to the use of helicopters in Nasarawa state by Chinese rogue miners, who also use those same helicopters to fly in guns for Islamist terror gangs to employ in forcibly de-populating villages on whose land the Chinese have detected precious metals that they wish to mine illegally.

This is an ongoing multi-million dollar crime that is no doubt well known to the USA's intelligence agencies, so it will not be surprising at all if a few missiles "go astray" and wipe out everyone spotted at such illegal mining sites in the near future. As the saying goes, all is fair in war.

I understand the mining aspect, I once mentioned to you I have visited mines where Chinese people are actively expropriating our resources at a hectic level.

Nevertheless I strongly doubt that they finance terrorism or terrorists to do such.

They compromise Police, they pay traditional rulers, they bribe politicians.
