Trump’s airstrikes: Gumi must be arrested – Nick Donnelly

A renowned Catholic Author, Deacon Nick Donnelly, has called for the immediate arrest of a controversial Nigerian Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.

The call followed Gumi’s remarks after the United States’ Christmas Day airstrikes against insurgents in parts of Sokoto State.

DAILY POST reports that Gumi in a statement on Friday urged the Federal Government to immediately halt any collaboration with the US to take out the perpetrators of alleged genocide against Christians.

Reacting to Gumi’s comments, Nick Donnelly in a post on X, said the Islamic scholar must be arrested and prosecuted.

He wrote, “Sheikh Gumi protests President Trump’s Christmas military strikes against the bestial Islamist terrorists.

“Calling the terrorists conducting the genocide against Christians ‘our warriors’.

“Gumi must be arrested and put on trial for crimes against humanity.

“Tinubu must publicly condemn Gumi or else he is declaring his complicity in his crimes.”

Tinubu should prove to Nigerians that his hands are clean by arresting Gummi, if not Nigerians are seeing him as an a complicit in the insecurity in Nigeria

This is why I think the FG does not have the political will to fight Fulani terrorists herdsmen.
Gumi has proven times without numbers where his allegiance lies. Always taking brief for the genocidal terrorists herdsmen whom have massacred,maim,raped,tortured,kidnapped,spillaged,loot and burn farm settlements and villages. I know not of any crime higher than what these privileged terrorists have committed under the sun.
The continuous unguided utterances from Gumi is painting Nigeria as a nation comfortable with genocidal terrorism,the president must do the needful,we don't need further distractions from moles and 5th columnists.

Nigeria belongs to Muslims as we are far majority. In SW alone, Muslims consists about 65% of the population.

Only two Muslims can be President and Vice in this country, as we have seen.

Christians don't have the population to achieve such.
