Agra, Dec 26 (UNI) The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Operational Unit, Agra, has arrested a Nigerian national from Delhi in connection with the recovery of 1 kilogram of illegal heroin, estimated to be worth approximately Rs 2 crore.

The arrested accused has been identified as IKE PRINCE (41), son of IKE Chuku, a permanent resident of No. 11 Ayaumunna Street, Lagos, Nigeria.

During post-arrest investigation, it was revealed that the accused is a foreign national who was residing illegally in India without a valid passport or visa.

This arrest is the outcome of sustained investigation and interrogation following the earlier arrest of two drug traffickers by the ANTF Agra unit on 9 October 2025 at Nauhjheel Police Station, Mathura district.
The two accused—Waqar, son of Naeem Ahmad, resident of Gurgaon, and Faizan, son of Mohammad Tajim, resident of Seelampur, Delhi—were apprehended earlier in the same case.

A case bearing FIR No. 272/2025 under Sections 8/22/29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act was registered at Nauhjheel Police Station, and a charge sheet was subsequently filed against them.

During interrogation, Waqar and Faizan disclosed that the seized heroin had been supplied by a Nigerian national, later identified as Ike Prince.

Based on these inputs and further in-depth investigation, the ANTF team tracked and arrested the accused from Delhi on Friday.

In accordance with the Vienna Convention, information regarding the arrest of the Nigerian national has been formally communicated to the Nigerian High Commission in India.

Apart from further legal proceedings under the NDPS Act, necessary action is also being initiated against the accused under the Foreigners Act for illegal stay in India.
Senior police officials have commended the ANTF team for the successful operation and reiterated that the Uttar Pradesh Police will continue its strict campaign against drug trafficking.

Likely a fake address. The Indian immigration guys are sloppy. This kind of red flag can be easily verified.

What's shocking is that the Indian government is quick to label Ikechukwu or Ikenna Prince as drug trafficker despite his significant contributions to the country's growth and development
