A man shared how a local thug gave him money on Christmas Day.

One of the area boys I give money to regularly, stopped me...

Since it's festive period, I thought he wanted to demand more.

I rolled down the passenger's windows, and he said:

"It's my turn to dash you money today"

Handed me this parcel of N5.

I was happy.

And...

It took me over 3 hours before I realized he gave me only N 500.

Even after realising ...

I still appreciated it, because it came in a special packaging.

Doesn't matter how small...

Gift people this season.

One of the hardest things to do is to think of what to give someone [in appreciation] you believe has/can afford anything.

A heart of giving comes naturally,so forget about those who give multiple reasons that sounds like having such kinda heart means an act of being a fool angry.

Nothing is too small to gift out......

And there's this kind of natural inbuilt joy that lies in one's heart especially when you're the one giving out cheesy

Besides, appreciation is the application for more cheesy. That area guy understands the street format and of course he knows what this his act would definitely yield cheesy

The thug no try. 500 for all the goodies wey i don give you!

Who cares if an atom comes in special type of package!

Atleast give me something reasonable!

Well, the receiver knows why he still kept the thug because of unfortunate instances where only the thug could help him.

Two people using eachother!

One of the reason we need a new currency. That bundle is not even up to 0.50 cent. We will call it another name and not naira.

It's time we redenominate the currency by removing 2 zero.

Probably never happened!

All these fake fake news that people put up for engagement...

It's hard to believe anything these days, especially in the Nigerian social media space.

Very very hard!

Most times, it’s not the worth of the gift that matters, it is the fulfillment of knowing you got people who got you at heart.

N5, N10 and N20 should either be converted to coins or totally phase out of circulation. They are very useless currencies.

Congratulations. It is not easy for a local thug to dash you money. He must have remembered the impacts you made in his life in the past and then decided to reciprocate the kind gestures.

That might be the only gift he would receive yesterday. So sometimes, it is not about the value of the gift but the fact that someone remembers you and gives you something. People don't usually give gifts to the givers which is not right..
Re: A Man Shared How A Local Thug Gave Him Money On Christmas Day by bunmioguns(m): 1:53pm On Jan 02
He didn't give you a gift; he gave you a repayment plan with a 99% discount. That’s not an area boy, that’s a wealth manager practicing wealth redistribution.

For what 5 naira is worth in today's Nigeria, wouldn't it cost more to print it than what it's spent on? I don't know, just asking.
