Arewa the northern before are not paying tax but loveeeed to share in the proceed they do not work for like alcohol, betting game etc.

They only buy and sell and collect their money in cash, fortunately for them, the law that says you cannot move about with certain cash doesn't operate in the north

Big businesses can't operate outside the bank. Even a farmer selling twenty million naira a year can't operate outside the bank

Yes total BVN in Nigeria is strangely low but the people who have accounts will pay. There are hotels and banks in the North and farmers who sell over twenty million naira a year. The taxation is targeted towards those who use banks
