Fayose should use this opportunity to show documentary evidence of all the allocations he received as governor of Ekiti State and how he spent them. Only then can he be taken seriously over his infantile claims that Makinde received a N50 billion intervention fund from Tinubu.
I really do wonder how people like you reason. You are part of the problem Nigeria is facing today. So because an alleged corruption was exposed, the person who exposed this must first state how he spends funds received in Ekiti. It's just sick.

When people were celebrating mediocrity, I knew something was definitely wrong. It's really sick and at the same sad that we really are not interested in Nigeria ever making any meaningful progress.

All these governors are evil and treacherous

They go to Abuja collect huge billions and come back their states pretending that everything is bad because of the president

No one is holding governors to account, they appear to bear no responsibility, hiding their failures behind the president
Tinubu was also a gov
I'm sure all the while he was fighting OBJ he was also getting billions and coming back to Lagos to deceive his zombies that Obasanjo is the reason they can't make it in life

NB: I'm not in support of anyone of them

This is just memo for the intervention fund for some project which OYO state was part of the plan, bringing out this as evidence is not enough because they might have not disbursed the money to the state government.

Nor be Naija we dey, is part of APC propaganda to witch hunt their opponents jaree.

Awon stomach infrastructure gbogbo

Believe all this useless politicians at your own peril
No politician will ever publish a sensitive document. Doing such will amount to his own exposure. You can only flash the card but not dropping it. The memo is just a message and i believed SM has gotten the message.

Lol… how is amount requested same as amount released. Fayose the mad dog!
I don't understand o. And someone is on the first page dancing up and down like a banshee that this request document is proof of disbursement. Arguing back and forth shamelessly on such a document as this, except he saw something else on that document that is beyond request.

Exactly, I replied him but that Mod deleted my comments. I was surprised I wasn't even ban for 30min. He was engaging in whataboutism, asking Fayose to show evidence of his own spendings.
I always say these Obidients only hate corruption until someone they like or support is picked out for corruption and they start changing their tune. The question here is how a Governor could pocket such a huge amount of intervention fund while the victims are still counting their losses. And such a man wants to be President... He's a clown 🤡. Hopefully EFCC will be knocking on his door immediately his tenure ended.
Fayose knows his audience
A meaningless memo from the AGF to the MoF requesting for authorisation is now proof that Makinde got funds from FG?
Like one must really think some folks are daft enough to buy this to release it as "evidence"
A former gov for that matter? This is laughable but, as I said, he knows his audience

Stop supporting impunity by attacking the messenger instead of reasoning with the message. These politicians are heartless thieves, only a dumb person who doesn't value the future of his country defend them. Whatever allocation Fayose received during his time as governor is immaterial here, what is more concern now is how a governor recieve 50b intervention fund but only disbursed 4.5b to the victims.

So, where is the remaining 45.5b, because this money is not allocation but gift to the victims from federal government.

We all can see that Nigeria generating more revenue through taxation will only enrich politicians and won't reflect in the lives of the masses. Politicians are too wasteful, masses should not be under obligation to pay taxes to them because it will only end up in their private pockets in disguise of frivolous needless projects.

A request for disbursement is not tantamount to money being released, although I expect Tinubu's camp to lap it up. Wale Edun already told us the budget was largely unfunded with a lot of revenue shortfalls. If core capital projects from 2024 are still being carried over into 2026 with trillions owed to local contractors, are we to believe that the Tinubu government was magnanimous enough to release a 50 billion naira largesse to Seyi Makinde simply because it was requested for?
can you stop embarrassing yourself. If u had tead the document you would have seen that there's a confirmation that 50 billion was disbursed .common sense is very scarce on Nairaland, that's why I hardly come here anymore

Here we go again. An major issue has come, proofs are in the public domain. Let's see it to the end. In our style there will be distractions. Fayose has this proof, if you have any again against him bring it up.

We are too fund of why must you catch this thief after all there are many thieves. You can't catch all thieves at the same time.

Makinde is a kid politician. Apart from the unneeded Motor parks he wasted money on in Oyo state, he has nothing else to show for nearly 7years of government. Thanks to former governor Akala that constructed few motorable roads.

You may be punching below your weight as far as intellect is concerned but if that document shows anything, it is that FG failed to disburse that amount to Oyo state as intended.

Ofunaofu:
He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

Fayose served as governor of Ekiti State for eight years but has failed to publicly account for the funds he received on behalf of the people and how they were used. Despite this, he now makes unfounded allegations against Makinde, accusing him of receiving a N50 billion intervention fund.

If Fayose insists that Tinubu gave Makinde N50 billion, and he is denying it, then Tinubu owes Nigerians an explanation: whether such money was given, how it was transferred, which account received it, or whether it was moved through bullion vans and whether the funds came from his personal resources or from the nation’s common wealth.
Diversion and always diverting. You love to bring Tinubu's name in. Did Tinubu accuse Makinde? Fayose accused Makinde. Makinde countered and challenged him to show proof. Fayose has shown proof. Is it not up to Makinde to counter or take fayose to court? Why are you standing as Makinde's attorney? Why are you shifting the onus of proof on someone that is not part this fight?

When Makinde made a revelation concerning Wike you hailed it. Did you call Tinubu to come and confirm if what Makinde said is true?

This is a correspondence between ministers showing what has been disbursed. If such disbursement didn't occur the accountant general won't reference it. You may hate Wike or False but this is prove and I mean big for for those who understands how governance work. Many just type on their Tecno and iphones without even understanding what they type. Fayose and Wike always coming with receipts and this apparently doesn't always go well with Obidients and Atikulates.

See I don't have a dog in this fight because our politicians are horrible humans but the person you quoted is right. That document if it's authentic shows that such funds was disbursed to Oyo state. Read item no.3, it shows clearly that the schedule is for disbursements that reduced the balance of the intervention fund to that 464 billion you're seeing. It is not a fresh request, it is actually a reminder to the honorable minister of the last payments done from that account. I'm surprised that many people are saying the memo is a fresh request.

Be that as it may Fayose himself fit don chop pass this one during his own time as governor sef. undecided

You are wrong. Read the memo again. This time, slowly. Oyo state listed in that document is part of the outstanding disbursements that are yet to be paid due to paucity of funds.

No, Oyo was part of the 450bn that was disbursed thereby leaving a balance of 467bn.

So what does 'as outlined below' mean to you in this instance.. are you saying what was outlined below was the monies disbursed, and not the outstanding amounts left per the request?

Go back and read the Memo very well
It was stated that an amount was disbursed and the table was for the disbursement and Oyo state was clearly disbursed to.

Makinde is throwing stones when he lives in a glass house
He messed up by revealing what was discussed behind closed door cos of his ambition forgetting these people know his secrets

So, this document Fayose has produced is not enough evidence?.. indeed, a new Nigeria is POOsible grin
please stop giving attention to that ignorant guy, Fayose went to EFCC custody by himself. If there was something against him, I guess he should be in jail by now.

And Makinde that started politics this yesterday thinks he can escape their missiles unscathed. Atiku with all his financial and political muscle, they run him out of PDP. Makinde is not wise at all.
200 million Nigerians are not wise at all, which is why we are a disgraceful set of people with the highest number of extreme poverty paupers and children who are out of school.
